Did you know, if timed right, you have 2 chances to counter an EMMI. The first we all know before it grabs you, and the second, right before it stabs you, if you counter it, Samus kicks the EMMI off of her.

you should give Multiworlds a shot with other people - I play dread randomised with similar settings almost daily because of that and its super fun and hilarious
at, 5:14 i'm pretty sure that you can use the melee counter on the red rings and they'd drop missiles and energy, making that situation completely doable
@BandedHylian I feel the same, but I also feel that it was whiplashing me when it comes so soon. I enjoyed the video and what great luck finding the screw attack so early. Didn't watch the vod, but did you use the warp function when you got softlocked? Because I didn't hear you talk about it on the video.
@op_t1c989 could definitely try to ease into it more in future videos or go back and forth between dubs and full facecams. I actually didn't know about that feature for a ways into the run lol I don't recall if we actually ended up using it, but I don't think so. I think we just loaded last save.

5:08 you can use a melle dash counder to break those red rings to get more missiles. It a trick i use to quickly restock on missiles mid fight.
