@TetrisLBlock if your looking at the floor of the arena, crouch once you get to the second "floor tile" (idk what to call it other than that) not only does serris never come out of the floor there, but they also can never hit you as long as your crouched or in morph ball
I remember both Super Metroid and Fusion coming out I was in grade school when Super came out and middle school when Fusion can out still two of my favorite games
Forget the vine boom soundeffect those super missile explosions were the OG bass boosted soundeffect. You can feel the power behind the bass of those explosions, they drown out the music 😂 Seriously, my god this game is iconic, mainly for it's horror feel and feeling of isolation and weakness. Possibly the best 2D metroid game in terms of the feelings and immersion I felt playing it.
In the first phase SA-X fight, stand under the platform at the bottom left of the screen. If you get the position right, it will try to jump and attack you but end up on the ledge above. SA-X then gets stuck in a loop jumping up and down without actually attacking so you can just plug away without getting hit. If you’re in slightly the wrong place or your beams knock it back too far, it can break the loop but a quick dash around the screen and back will reset it
This is why I love Metroid fusion. It has thousands of unique and great bosses, unlike zero mission that has a couple of them (others are minibosses or a true one)
Damn... I always had trouble with the no damage run with the following: Zazabi, Yakuza, and Nightmare. Yet you made it seem so easy. ... Hell you even *BULLIED* the SA-X from the looks of it.

It's been over a year since I made a statement on how I want Metroid Fusion to be rereleased for the Nintendo Switch, and while that "technically" didn't happened, the game was added to the Game Boy Advance - Nintendo Switch Online mode. It's not exactly what I wanted, but I'm still glad that it happened.
If anyone is curious as to why he used the charge beam on neo ridley instead of rockets, it's because the plasma beam will pierce through ridley and do more damage, and it will kill him faster.
Wait, here was a whole second row of energy bars?😅 I missed half of them hahaha. And wow, killing all the bosses (specially nightmare who killed me like 20 times 😂) and that serpent with no damage really is a feat 👏👏
Impressive you were able to kill these bosses without getting hit, since the prevailing design ethos for this game seemed to be plopping you in a tiny room with a boss that takes up most of the screen.
I just need Nintendo to have all Metroid games (at very least all the mainline games: Zero Mission, Samus Returns, Super Metroid, Fusion, Dread; all playable on the Switch. They definitely could’ve capitalized a bit on it and have the first 4 release as a pack alongside Dread
Metroid Fusion (A game marketed as another Metroid game) - Multiple cases of body horror, tense situations, chases, and mystery. Metroid Dread (a game marketed as a horror game) - Thin, crawly robots that one taps you unless you destroy a brain and (for some reason) get charged up by it's juice, and fight daddy birb! No body horror. No tense chases. No feeling like you're being stalked wherever you go. Just moments where the game goes "OOps. You got seen! Better lead this robot around in a loop for a little bit or just let him kill you and start again!" So spooooky! Had more tense moments in Mario Kart. Dread sucked so freaking hard, I regretted playing it when it was the only game I could play at the time.
"Alright fellow X, we need to assimilate some combat forms to destroy Samus. Any ideas?" "I was thinking an Aquatic super predator who's speed is unrivaled." "Alright, good start." "I'll assimilate the corpse of her nemesis." "Ooh, poetic, I like it." "I dunno, some kinda weird eye stalk thing with hair?" "Hah! Classic Jim, always good for a laugh!" "... Yeah, totally kidding..." "I'm gonna get REALLY BIG!" "Uh, Ted? How exactly does that help?" "No, you're not getting it. I'm gonna get... really... BIG!" Better part is all of the ample opportunities to hit serris in the head. Just a little something I'd figure be nice for everyone to know
Yeah that totally worked. Absolute genius. You can still get hit.
@TetrisLBlock if your getting hit then either your not in the right area or just not crouched.
@@justingibson2358 he just comes out of the ground right underneath me no matter where I’m at. But aye, I still no hit him just now.
You can feel the power behind the bass of those explosions, they drown out the music 😂
Seriously, my god this game is iconic, mainly for it's horror feel and feeling of isolation and weakness. Possibly the best 2D metroid game in terms of the feelings and immersion I felt playing it.
I just beat this game for the first time this morning and Ridley did NOT go down that fast….
His model is so big the charge beam destroys him, but also lags the game lol.
In the first phase SA-X fight, stand under the platform at the bottom left of the screen. If you get the position right, it will try to jump and attack you but end up on the ledge above. SA-X then gets stuck in a loop jumping up and down without actually attacking so you can just plug away without getting hit. If you’re in slightly the wrong place or your beams knock it back too far, it can break the loop but a quick dash around the screen and back will reset it
I wish I realized ice missiles trivialized the SA-X encounters (the one after the spider boss and the final boss fight with it) as a kid.
This is why I love Metroid fusion. It has thousands of unique and great bosses, unlike zero mission that has a couple of them (others are minibosses or a true one)
im only now realising the SA-X's final form is a mashup of samus & that OG frog that infected her in the first place
Oooo.... that's something!
Damn! Some of those transitions are seamless!
As much as I love metroid zero mission, fusion definitely has better and harder bosses
Zero Missions bosses were forgettable at best and terrible at worst. Fusion easily has the best boss fights in the series. Dread has the 2nd best. IMO
The only boss you can't avoid damage is the omega metroid. You have to take damage. It's unavoidable
This was a great run. What do you think about it Ridl---

Damn... I always had trouble with the no damage run with the following: Zazabi, Yakuza, and Nightmare. Yet you made it seem so easy.
... Hell you even *BULLIED* the SA-X from the looks of it.
Man, I couldn't even dream of beating Yakuza and Nettori without any damage. :D
I could do Nettori no damage if it weren't for the fact that I pay more attention to damaging the boss more than dodging the spores that fall
At first i was like "what is that a special mode with all bosses behind every door." but then i realized it's the good transition work👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
I also love the way u ultra instinctively predict serris moves 😂😂😂
Man, as a kid, when I first encountered the boss Yakuza, the spider boss, I died immediately to him Lol. Took me a bit to figure out his patterns.
What i gathered from this is that charge shots are now powerful than missiles for many of the bosses...
13:03 When I stub my toe in the middle of the night
I genuinely love the item pickup sound
god thats such a good boss transition
プレイも編集も上手いですね!

nice video BossRunner. I crushed that thumbs up on your video. Keep on up the amazing work.
The SA-X will always be up there with one of the most “how tf did this get into a kids game” bosses ever.
My favourite Metroid game. I miss the GameBoy Advanced era and honestly, emulation could never replicate the vibe of the real thing.
One of the best games in human history. Fight me.
Best Metroid imo. Proud to see this vid
Wait, here was a whole second row of energy bars?😅 I missed half of them hahaha. And wow, killing all the bosses (specially nightmare who killed me like 20 times 😂) and that serpent with no damage really is a feat 👏👏
I wish I could have the chance to replay Metroid Fusion again. Maybe have it be available in the Nintendo Switch's eShop.
Impressive you were able to kill these bosses without getting hit, since the prevailing design ethos for this game seemed to be plopping you in a tiny room with a boss that takes up most of the screen.
Only ridley and mega core x were annoying screen tbh
The X may just be an excuse for Nintendo to reuse past departed bosses in Fusion. But damn, what a way to recreate said bosses. Especially Ridley.
I think thats coming this E3?
everyone: i hate nightmare so much!
me: fking yakuza gave me nightmares
why are some of the boss musictracks SO BOPPIN'
Is this a hackrom or just a cut video? I would be interested into a full length run without cuts, but still this is pretty cool!
Just Edit. Thank you!
The transitions are very smooth
Any ideas?"
"I was thinking an Aquatic super predator who's speed is unrivaled."
"Alright, good start."
"I'll assimilate the corpse of her nemesis."
"Ooh, poetic, I like it."
"I dunno, some kinda weird eye stalk thing with hair?"
"Hah! Classic Jim, always good for a laugh!"
"... Yeah, totally kidding..."
"I'm gonna get REALLY BIG!"
"Uh, Ted? How exactly does that help?"
"No, you're not getting it. I'm gonna get... really... BIG!"
"But how does that make you harder to kill or stronger? In fact, wouldn't it just make you an easier target?"
"I don't see what you're not understanding... REALLY... BIG!"
"Sigh... Dammit Ted..."
Boss-1 arachnus-X
Boss-2 elephant bird
Boss-3 zazabi
Boss-4 serris
Boss-5 B.O.X
Boss-6 mega core X
Boss-7 core X
Boss-8 yakuza
Boss-9 netorri
Boss-10 nightmare
Boss-11 B.O.X second form
Boss-12 neo-ridley
Boss-13 SA-X
Boss-final omega metroid
2 more days I can’t wait play this gem again
Let's be honest, we all just pumped Neo-Ridley with missiles while both going "AAAAAAHHHHHH" at each other
those transitions were godly
The transitions are spectacular
you are the goat; Greatest of all time
Amazing video!... How you defeat each boss is great
God I love those door transitions.
