I absolutely love how whoever did this didn't do it so blandly. There is always showboating and mixups in how they go about things, fun little tidbits here and there that actually, surprisingly, made the whole thing fun to watch.
TASing can get a little dull at points. Little bits of whimsy like that make it much more enjoyable to create as well as to watch. My personal favorite such moment is when the TAS showed off just how long it takes to wait for the bomb to go off for the one required bomb jump the first time through sector 2.

Its not a cheat in the sense that it adds functionality to the game but it is a cheat since most people can't do the tricks and glitches, especially all in a single segment without mistakes. These are intended for funsies and should in no way be compared to live speed runs except maybe as a showcase for skips, glitches, and techniques.
This is the GBA, not the SNES. The GBA could scale Sprites in Hardware, and could even do 3D. It looks nice, but there is nothing technically impressive about it.

Nice job getting two power bomb expansions before downloading them, and doing the Sector 3 skip only to still pick up Bob right after. When you realize the SA-X’s ice beam deals 200 damage while its power bomb only deals 20, you can see they really meant it when they said Samus was weak to cold.

I remember being so scared of this game when I was a kid. When I beat it I felt like I conquered the fear. It’s cool seeing a flawless run, almost like it’s how it was always meant to be run. TAS is cool.
Watching this gives me a whole new appreciation for Fusion. I had no idea about that secret tunnels between Sectors! Definitely didn't realise there were so many secrets as well, and the gameplay is so fluid when used to it's maximum.
I know the wall jump was severely nerfed in this game but the optimization and usage of it is so well done it breaks my brain. Also did anyone ever call the "SA-X" the "saxophone"? I always called it that because it just made everything a whole lot more funny

Really enjoyed watching this run. You know how to keep your runs entertaining without sacrificing efficiency. Your single wall climbs are ridiculously good, and I highly enjoyed seeing more of the early expansions. It's still a damn shame that this game can't be properly sequence broken.
TAS ruined all my child muscle memory of cheesing this game 😭 I remember beating it with 86% with 1 hour and 15 mins, my best time. My first attempt at a "speed run" was ~60% in an hour and a half. Loved this game so much.
Eh Dont feel bad. TAS stands for tool assistance speedrun. The person who's playing is using a tool of some sort to move this way I think because the tool slows down the game. This makes it seem like the person playing has Super human reaction speed. But I think the games just really REALLY slowed down.

When you are in the lower platform jump to the grab point and wait for when he is vulnerable and use the point blank charge beam and go either up or down, repeat until he dies or the heat death of the universe happens

I remember beating it with 86% with 1 hour and 15 mins, my best time. My first attempt at a "speed run" was ~60% in an hour and a half. Loved this game so much.
Eh Dont feel bad. TAS stands for tool assistance speedrun. The person who's playing is using a tool of some sort to move this way I think because the tool slows down the game.
This makes it seem like the person playing has Super human reaction speed. But I think the games just really REALLY slowed down.
I like the implication that this entire adventure takes place in less than an hour from Samus' perspective.
