The exacerbation comes from lack of cofactors, vitamin K2 in this case. K2 directs calcium to the bones and not to the joints or arteries. Your doctor is bad. D3 + K2 together. Magnesium activates D3, zinc directs D3 into cells. Only d3 is not good on its own

I am so glad she went over this! We really need to deep dive into all these subjects to discover what is actually true as opposed to what an ad campaign proposed once upon a time. There are so many issues caused by bad diet, and instead of addressing the truth of what the problem is, many straw men were created to divert our attention to the real issue. As a pharmaceutical chemist who has worked inside the supplement industry, I can state with certainty a lot of what is offered is modern day snake oil, mostly because much of it is not even bioavailable. I stopped taking vitamin D supplements some time ago, when I realized they were made with soybean oil ..... If you are supplementing, you are not eating the proper human diet, or enough of it in most cases. One exception is that we do need iodine supplementation in many cases, depending where you live, because big agriculture has destroyed a lot of land, which can be a problem.

You of all people would know so much more than our low IQ public. I take electrolytes and lugol's 2% with salt, selenium and a stick of butter most days.I eat that steak, beef liver and heart along with lamb and other ruminate animals.I took a lot of worthless snake oil over the years and very few of them were worth the water I washed them down with. The money spent on beef, butter and some bacon from pork belly that I cure and smoke myself. America makes good food really bad in so many cases that I try to get pasture raised pork from local farmers or I just don't eat it.
It is now impossible to get pure cream or ice cream because the sugar wasn't killing us quick enough so they had to put emulsifier gums and polysorbate of various numbers (20,60,80) in it. I can't find but one heavy cream that doesn't have it now.Even cream cheese has guar gum or carragenen. Read the labels or suffer the consequences. I recently bought some Tillamook cream cheese that has no added emulsifiers. Shocking, and they put it on the front of the box, lol. I did buy some to melt on my top sirloin and it is almost as good as sour cream. According to google IA these substances don't belong in anything that goes into our bowels. Disrupting our gut bacteria isn't a good idea which means that Europe has the purest foods now. I almost forgot to mention CMC. Lots of studies on WebMD,NIH and other publishers showing how bad these are for our gut.

Vitamin D can be synthesized when receiving UV light around 300nm wavelength.
This part of is filtered out by the layer of aircraft exhaust pollution in the layer between our biosphere and the stratosphere, at around 10km altitude, where the airliners fly.
During the recent shutdown of airline flights there was strong shine of 300nm light from the sun, now that is over.
I need 60-80 ng/ml in my blood, that is 150-200 nmol/L, for that i have to take at least 10000 IU of D3 daily.

White skin started to become common in West Asia when farming started. En Europe there strong selection for even ligher skin started around the bronze age, and intensified in the last 2000 years.
What this means is that indeed, the shift in the diet to include domestic plants was what forced us to become less pigmented to compensate for the lower vitamin D in our diet.
In Europe in general and more in the northern half it became incompatible with life to eat plants and have darker skin. Only people with the lightest skin could get enough vitamin D to survive in the last 2-3 thousand years. Of course, they still ate good amounts of fatty fish, meat and dairy. But much less to be sufficient by itself.
In the last decades it's gotten worse than ever, so even with very light skin most people become vitamin D deficient.

Where to begin? The dunning Kruger is strong with this lady.
At 1:00 she cites the Inuit. The pre-industrial Inuit got a shit ton of UVB during the summer months because they lived outside. During the winter they were in constant cold exposure, which if you know anything about the mitochondria, your body can produce UV on its own with cold exposure, which is how humans adapted to living at such high latitudes. Please do not invite this lady back on your podcast. She knows nothing about physics and how it interacts with biology. @paulcallicoat7597 18 дней назад

The only thing good fat for us is animal fat. Every other type is inflammatory and destructive for every part of our body. Dive into the poly-unsaturated fat lies pushed by Ancel Keys :"The Seven Country Study" Not a real study but an epidemiological study. He had the data for over 20 countries but could only massage the data for the 7. Looking into these types of studies shows that they are clearly not reliable. He was paid off by the Sugar sellers to take the heat off of them that showed in real animal studies that showed clear evidence that sugar was a major link in the cause of heart disease and heart attacks. When the data was delved into his study the researcher was demonized with the poor scientist hounded out of funding and therefore driven out.His studies on animals concluded just the opposite.Look up vegetable oils because this information is even more damning for veg/seed oils which is shown to be worse for our circulation system. Professor Thomas Seyfrieds studies point out that if cholesterol was the problem that they blame it on then why are the clots and blockages always in the most powerful blood flow areas? This should raise the alarms of anyone who has rafted or kayaked a river in flood stage. I have and there never is a blockage caused by trees in the center of the rivers, but only in the bends where the current is reduced. The subject is complex and I encourage everyone who wants to learn more to seek that information out.Don't just read the conclusion section of the studies but look at the data. I'm not a scientist but my IQ is so much higher than the average person that I can read those epidemiological studies which clearly show that correlation does not imply causation and many are so far from the Conclusion that I am sure that "following the science wasn't getting the money released for the study. If you want to get to the truth find out who funded the study. Not easy to do but now with the power of the internet you can. One thing is certain,I am not receiving and money for this discourse.

She looks pretty healthy for 61 years old...

There’s not many 61 yr olds who look like her, she looks like she’s in her 40s. There’s a lot of reasons to go out in the sun other than just getting vitamin D though.

How many 61 yr old women would even let you see them without makeup. She's incredibly fit and healthy.

I agree; she looks horrible. Don’t take advice from her

Sounds like a load of nonsense to me, and it sounds like even she's struggling to make sense of what she's talking about too ...! I'd advise interviewing a proper expert on the subject ....

Totally agree. Tripping over her words.
