Better than the my other 3 vehicles. “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.” I consider almost all his CONS to be wise design choices by Volvo. Other than the cup holders (which are usually adequate for me), I find no inconveniences.
The charging ports are more effectively protected from debris and liquids by seamlessly passing your cables under armrest lid to outer console.
Realistically, unless you expect often 4+ passengers, just get the six seater, which gives everyone a LUXURY seat with no entry exit problem. The seven-seater’s second-row bench makes faster entry exit for 3 rear child passengers, and makes fastening easier and safer (did I say “safer”?) for the smallest passenger.
MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS THEIR SWITCHING TO GOOGLE! The original Console was great. It already had Android Auto, but latest I checked, now it no longer supports Apple’s CarPlay! I prefer the standard Volvo navigation and apps, once in a while using Apple Maps. I hate Google I don’t want an android Console. I want back Apple’s CarPlay, which uses the console merely as a small supplemental display and keyboard; otherwise, all the other business and info is private between your phone and vehicle. I don’t want my vehicle to be vulnerably linked to $hit Google account!
Throw out Google and it’ll be the best vehicle in its class.
Now how long will it take for a BMW owner to come claim his Beamer is still better than XC90?

@@Outsider.Reviews great video. 👍🏻 yes. To each their own. The bmw comment was just a soft joke. I said it because every video that shows off a Volvo’s performance or design is always accompanied by BMW owners defending their purchase. Just joking them. I hope they can laugh. 😆
@@VaticansHolocaust lol it's all good. I've never owned a BMW and I'm always critical of vehicles, even my own, because I believe the more you charge for the goods, the better the product should be but in some cases.... It's just not. The Volvo was a lot of fun to drive and felt like a quality product, but as mentioned, some minor updates would be appreciated
Just got my third one. I miss the old Sensus system, but I do still have Apple Carplay in my 2024. Are you sure you don’t?
@@villanelle5279 yes you can have apple carplay on them, you are right. Their standard operating system is Google however and we all know Google is better than Apple ;) Hope you had a merry Christmas and thank you for watching our video and taking time to comment, we appreciate it.
11.9 L/KM???? That's 1 liter per 5 kilometers, even an older XC90 has better mileage than that. My 2009 V70 does about 1:10 or 10/100 in town
I was pretty surprised by that as well. The VW Atlas we reviewed the week before is bigger, non hybrid and had better fuel economy. I'm assuming the extra weight of the hybrid negates it's fuel economy when you're mostly driving country roads like we are. I wish they would change the design of the XC90. It has been the same design since 2016? Needs an update
