I would go a PHEV over any electric vehicle any day. U have the best of both worlds and for some commutes u can just run on pure electric power. Its also impressive that you guys got above the EPA rating. Maybe the EPA was being conservative just like the germans with their HP figures. 41 miles of range is very good for a suv of this size. I guess anybody who’s buying this is saving quite a bit of money.

don't forget you already pay that ,,saving gas,, in the sticker price. $80K just for regular SUV its way far for saving quite a bit of money

I think the battery actually has just under 15kwH of actually useable capacity which makes this even more impressive! I have a 2017 Volvo xc90 recharge with a 8Kwh battery which only ever takes around 6.3kwh according to my home pod point charger data

We have a 2023, Farthest we got in the hybrid mode is 60 miles!! Went from near UCONN to New London CT, took the Ferry to Long Island with 13 miles remaining, original ev range was 34 miles. Here's where it went wild. We we drove on LI, we ended with a total of 60 miles on the trip odometer. We have started a trip with up to 42 miles registered on the dash.

Confusing comment....hybrid mode uses petrol/electric. You can drive well over 1000 miles in this mode.
Pure mode on the other hand uses EV only which has a range of 50 miles max.
Just not sure what you mean?

My 2022 extended range clears 35 regularly. Volvo did a nice job with it, but the battery charges quite slowly compared to our Pacifica PHEV which has about the same range.

With the gear in B recharge, no aircon or heating on and driving conservatively on non-interstate roads I can get just over 45 miles in mid summer. Worryingly it drops to about 28 in a mid British mild winter (same engine and elec configuration as the US model) with heating on low.

    Hey guys.
The battery actually has a useable level of around 14.kWh out of the 18.8kwh. It keeps a little in reserve for other situations.
41.7 miles was actually equivalent to 2.8mi/kwh! Even better!🎉

Does the x7 come in a hybrid, the x5 is a bit too small for me, the xc90 is good

Do PHEVs and EVs suffer battery memory decay by not discharging almost completely, before recharging?

Personally, I'd go with the Mercedes Benz GLE450e SUV cause it's a better plug-in-hybrid than the XC90 Recharge.
