Soles of some shoes play a lot in different weather conditions, for example I found out the Asics Nimbus stiffens up a lot in cold compared to how they soften up in hot, I don't know how the Adistar would be. Was contemplating in getting the Adistar but found a great discount on the Asics Novablast 2, money for performance wise I went that way. Good review as always. 👍

I got the CS verison of these and liekd it for my weekend errands (I walk my errands as I do not drive).
Price not so bad either. Not sure I will be rushing to buy it but if I stumble across it in shops I will take a look, now that you recommend !
it works pretty well for heavier runners
I have taken these to 70 miles so far, I have to agree re long run, I originally bought them (with discount code) to replace the max road 5's which I chewed through in less than 150 miles. The hard-wearing outsole appealed to me .. but took them on a 16 mile run last week and while the sole worked fine the uppers had an annoying bit on the overlay which dug into my left foot .. and was painful for a day or so after .. sticking to 8miles or less going forward (summarise, I did not get the heat issue but I do have upper fitting issues which I can't overcome regardless how I lace the shoes) not bad at all (easy to get into a nice slow stride), but I wish I had just bought a dependable pair of Hoka's.

I had the same thing happen with a pair of Skechers , I got my open razor and after feeling inside with my fingers where the bump was , I trimmed it back . Problem solved 👍

The Adistars are heaveier but MUCH MUCH more durable than fresh foam more due to all the rubber on the outsole on the Adistars

I want to have love for this shoe but it's just ok! Nothing special about them. I'm a forefoot striker and the midsole at the forefoot is not that cushioned and not responsive! People on line say the shoe is heavy- I feel the heel counter balances the weight in the shoe and you really don't feel the weight. The lock down is great and the fit is true to size. Most of Adidas shoes are narrow, not this shoe- room for the toes splay. The look is great and the price is right but the shoe is ok! If they had better material in the midsole that would mean a higher price.
I've toyed with getting these for my easy runs! But I've been put off buying Adidas after I got seduced by the Takumi Sen to only been disappointed!
