It's a really cool model, but I'd go with the "standard" Adistar 3 and its more traditional take. I honestly wouldn't pay more for a plate, a bit of super foam and Continental rubber just to cruise around or go long. The Adiwear carbon rubber compound and the new Repetitor 2.0 foam are capable of doing the job well.
I bought this in women's, and it fits well. I would have chosen the Boston 12 due to its price, but the Boston 12 is too wide for my feet. The Adistar BYD, however, fits perfectly.
Thank you for the code, i'v bought them on top4running! I was looking for a very cushioned shoe for long slow runs, I think it's this one. I have the invincible for now but I don't like the feeling of zoomx (feeling like running on layers of paper, hate it) whereas i love the feeling of lightstrike and lighstrike pro of adios 8 and adios pro 3.
hi Alex, if you have to choose between the adidas BYD and the NB 1080v14, what would your pick be and why. I would use both shoes for long and recovery runs;
@@AlexFilitti Maybe for you but for me as a forefoot striker the fiberglass energy rods flex in the toes where a plate doesn't as much. This makes the Boston 12 feel less rigid and gives you toe spring as you push off making it very comfortable at just about any pace.
Can you compare this one with Supernova Prima? There seems to be some overlap in intended use case. I wish they got rid of Repetitor+ carrier. It basically dulls the ride and with plate in place they didn't really need more stabilizing elements.
I don't know what the designers were thinking. The market ditched the Ultraboost for its weight and the high price tag. And BYD copied that failed formula. It's too easy to pick a better and cheaper shoe over this one.
Which shoes do you prefer the best option for easy long run (20km at 6min / km pace) - Supernova Prima vs Adistar Byd ? (If must pick one out of these 2 pairs)
@@AlexFilitti Thanks for your reply! I am struggling which pair to buy for a stable long easy run shoes. (I have Superblast 1 and Novablast 4 but want a more effortless and rather soft but stable feeling). 😍
@@AlexFilitti How is the fitting different of Adistar BYD from Supernova Prima ? I confirm I wear US 9 men for Supernova Prima (SP is a little bit longer feel). Do I need to buy for half size up of Adistar BYD ? (No chance to try in-store where not available). 🙏🏻
Frankly it's very hard to tell and I don't have any official specs sheet just yet. But I'll pin a comment in case I hear something pointing in the direction of carbon
@@AlexFilitti I received my pair today. I think the plate is plastic like in your video and overall I feel that the shoes are not worth €210. They feel less premium than the Boston 12 which can be purchased for €140

100% take a comparison with the Boston 12. 👍🏻
I would really like to see a comparison with the Boston 12.
What we see in store is that the supertrainer category is growing. I think in a couple years these kinds of shoes will be pretty much the standard.
I'm 100% with you. The supertrainer of today is perhaps the daily trainer of tomorrow.

I’d like a comparison with the skyward x.

190!it is really starting to get expensive. And 300+ grams 😢 They could have simplified the eyelets to save some weight. But will try it on first.
Could these shoes work better for long runs than the Supernova Rise? Does this plate help more/less than the rods of the Boston 12?
Better than Supernova Rise for long runs: for me, yes
Plate helps more than the rods in the Boston: for me, yes

@@AlexFilittiThese or the SL2 as a classic daily trainer?
I think that both shoes could coexit bostin for faster paces, snd adistar for longer and easier effort and maximun durability and maximun satbiliy to

I just bought it)) will see) but first impression is great 👍🏽 plate really works
Thanks for your comment

Comparable to super comp trainer
@@B.Wise.B.Running Check the weight. It's not close.
Oh that stinks
Think this will be a great slow long run shoe like the super comp trainer
I’m looking forward to the US release.

Compare to the Boston 12 Please ♥
We will
what about outsole?
Continental rubber and it feels soooo good after reviewing the Adizero SL2 that didn't have it!
Are you sure plate is not carbon?

Compare it with the On Cloud Monster Hyper !
Do you think it will replace the Boston series ?
Loving the thumbnail facial expressions😂!
What’s your verdict vs those other super trainers ?
You must mention in each of your videos about the shoe whether it is a soft and comfortable shoe or not...
Not really convinced by this one. Like you said, it' s heavier and more expensive than the Boston, and the Boston is already not a very light shoes.
For the specs and the the weight it looks like the old Boston 10, but maybe better
Yes quite a bit better indeed
what is point of this shoe? why would anyone buy this over SL2, Adios 8 or Boston 12?
Just buy a Boston 12 on sale and be happy. I pass this one strongly..
another brick in the wall
With horrible colours
It’s carbon fiber not plastic
short laces with too many eyelets in a 190 priced shoes...adidas has the tendency to screw little things up
Sounds like a niche shoe
It's a nic(h)e shoe ;)
Selling people “carbon plates”, who don’t need carbon plates?
This colorway is not it, hope there are other options.
