    adidas ADISTAR REVIEW | Runners Initial Review of this brand new model. HIT or MISS? | EDDBUD
    A new midsole foam from Adidas in a brand new model! The name has been used before but this 2021 Adistar is aimed at long slow runs. A strange mixture of rides here in the Adistar, but it worked well for me on my initial runs.
    I have tested it out over 14 miles at long run paces to give you my honest opinions.
    True to size in length, but some may find the upper quite low volume if you have a wider or higher volume foot. A soft midsole in the repetitor foam, with a strange wrap of very firm foam in the heel.
    Have you tested out the Adistar? Let me know your thoughts and views down in the comments.

    Update: 4 miles today in the adistar. Lighter than the Boston and it’s super comfortable without making you feel like you are just lost in cushioning. It’s a nice and smooth ride and really guides your stride and has a nice bit of stability. Just marvelously comfortable and will be perfect for much longer runs at a low and slow training pace. Beautiful shoe for that use type. thanks again Edd!

    The Adistar with boost was the first running shoe that I could get great mileage out of without blisters. Previously I had to try all sorts of techniques to not get blisters. I bought 5 pairs in 2014. 3 pairs have been retired with approximately 1650km average mileage. I still have 2 pairs in the extended rotation but I'm not as big a fan of them because I need an extra half size up now. Overall I credit this shoe a lot with getting into running.

I think it looks good, but I me thinks I could only use it casually. That stated… Every review of this one seems to be positive.
    Happy 2022, solebrother.
    *Edit* adidas recently released a 1 hour advert of someone running in this shoe. I’m thinking this would be to my Takumi Sen 6 what my Terrex Agravic Ultra is to my Terrex Speed Pro. It's insane that running shoes are still being released in the modern age with laces that are too short! Not to be too negative, happy new year! I hope you smash any goals you have set for yourself this year

    • @EDDBUD

      Very odd they seem to be either too short or massively too long!

    • @TimGrose
      @TimGrose 2 года назад +3

      I kind of feel laces can only be perfect length if you have an average width foot and wear an average width fitting shoe at the intended tension. As somebody with a narrow foot who likes a snug fitting midfoot but rarely uses the double lace lock literally all my laces are “too long” for me.

    Not a shoe that really appeals to me... Looking forward to hearing about how you' ve gotten on with the Boston 10. I know you've been putting some more miles in those.

    I hate how Adidas puts a slice of different foam on the heel, sometimes harder, sometimes Boost

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  2 года назад +1

      It’s a very common adidas method. Not sure it’s needed here though.

    Very strange, I commented yesterday, via my iPhone and it has disappeared. As I did not say anything rude it must have been turned into white space by the youtube gremlins. Anyhow these shoes are what I call 'Maff method mile munchers ' got a pair cheap (with code) after my max road 5's gave up the ghost at less than 150 miles (beautiful ride .. just not durable enough for me .. they are a comfortable nip to the shop shoe for me now). Done 26.8 miles in the last couple of days and the pattern on the rubber has not even worn down. Not as comfy but polished off an 11 mile Maff run today and was happy to get on with my day and house jobs with no complaints ( Have a great accident-free new year )

      Hey John! No idea about the comment. I hadn’t removed anything. Perhaps over zealous RUclips algo. Glad these are working out. People get hyped about the “super” shoes but really the super shoes are the ones that allow us to smash out the daily miles. 👍🏼
