- Thomas and Meaghan review the adidas Adistar, a big-ass shoe that's as heavy as it looks. But for some reason, we actually kind of liked it. And it's only $130, which is like charity these days.

Hi believe in run and all the runners from 🇪🇸. Great video. I like Adidas adistar for long run. Here my like. A nice week for everyone. ☀️🏃♂️☀️
This is a good review. Meegan has came leaps and bounds with the reviews considering you had to drag her on in the earlier reviews. good job all.
Just checking in. Thanks for the review!
The upcoming Adistar CS seems to do what Meaghan was suggesting where it keeps the repetitor all the way. They only put the repetitor plus on the top half of the heel. Look forward to an upcoming review!
I’m loving mine!!!!! Definitely a CLASSIC looking shoe 👟.
281g ! Lightweight for me :) My Alphafly top 300g. Perils of a UK 13/US 14 foot :) Although not ideal, some shoes I have up to about 400g are OK for "daily" training - e.g. Peg Trail 3 GTX, Peg 38 Shield. Vomero 16 isn't far off. That said these are going to be about 450g for me and maybe more so am not convinced but at least I ought not notice that heel.
Taco bout a heavyweight with potential. Thank you for letting us know who this shoe can be use in our rotation 👍🏽👊🏽
I just got this shoe recently. I know some of the following was already stated in the video. For me, the toe box room is excellent. No issue with heel lock. It's still too early to tell if the firmer heel will work for me but the shoe is very stable compared to a lot of other shoes I've tried. Heel striking is fine for walking but you have to forefoot strike at faster paces. I would love to try out a future version of this shoe with softer repetitor phone. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a trail/hiking version in the future.
How do you feel about them now?
any update for now?
@@jpevangelista8253 I returned mine. Way too big and heavy
Any update?
After seeing this review, I'm wondering, would Prime X be a perfect running shoes if it had a fit and stability of Adistar?
I tried them on at Holabird sports they didn’t feel that squishy they felt more hard on the foot I still love my 1080 fresh foam NB
It's interesting to me how many runners thumb their nose at the Boston 10, but dig this shoe.
What would be the difference between it and the Ultraboost 22? The Ultraboost would be for light and short workouts and the Adistar would be more durable than the Ultraboost? Thanks!
they look cool as, might pick up a pair on sale.
I guess it is much more stable then the Ultraboost 22 but less versatile ?
Thanks.
I have a question...Should i order the same size that i use in hoka?
I'm still puzzled by why Adidas insists on making such heavy shoes in this day and age. Oh, you just said that as I was typing!
Would you guys pick the Adistar or the Skechers Maxroad 5 for easy long runs of 15-30k at the same price?
Tks, I’m keeping my Clifton!!
Nice throw!
Is or will there be a trailversion?
After watching the whole episode, I'll stick with my Altras.
I just compare this to the Clifton and... wonder why I would even try it? My Clifton 7 wide weigh more than 2oz less and they're softer. There might be an argument for durability but I tend to discount durability unless you're talking to someone who honestly buys like 1 pair a year.
1pair a year?not good?
The Clifton's arch support killed me, the Adistar does not have this problem. I also enjoy the Adistar being firmer and more stable. It's a different ride than the Hoka.
True to Size?
bro that's what i need to know
I am a heel striker so this is not for me. This weight is a bit of a miss.
...but hated Triumph 19 because it was too heavy 🤔
Price kitna hai 3200
Could you run a marathon in this shoe???
Your intro is so weird 🤪 buy the rest so cool 😎
I don't know, I think this whole obsession over weight is goofy. That is the last thing I'm concerned about but that's just my opinion. Is it going to get to the point where you're just wrapping your foot in a mesh net that has a cushion attached to it? 🤪
There are so many other better options in the max cushion category. Hoka's been doing it for years, New Balance is excelling with the More V3, and I think Brooks is getting better at max cushioning. I like to think Adidas isn't planning on competing and they're just doing their own thing.
Cause the price is much better AND its better for heavy runners. Clifton is just bad if you are over 85kg. Only real options for neutral shoes are Asics, Saucony or Adidas. Now its one option more, but for almost half the price. And im getting honest here: I cant tell the difference between Gel Nimbus 24 or 25, but that it now costs 200 bucks. And i love my Nimbus 23, but its just getting more expensive with every iteration for now real reason... Dont get me started on New Balance with pricing.
Megans smaller size Looks round….that klunky they are…..:-)))
Nobody believes the Adidas marketing hype surrounding these early announcement shoes. Shoe companies always announce the garbage shoes first. And this BRICK is certainly garbage. This is the type of shoe you'll find digging through clearance/reject table at Kohls for $29/pair come spring.
Spring has come and gone buddy. Yuh can't even find these for under $100 unless you're at an outlet store. Love these shoes.
Speak for yourself I own a pair of these and they’re comfy.
I got the Adistar CS and its the bomb. Too much attitude too fast Bob.
1st?!
Not bad doesn't mean good... Better spend money elsewhere
this is adidas one one. adidas is in the way to hell. with all the money what r they doing.
