Freaking life saver I've been dealing with this problem for a little while now and couldn't find any answers and this worked perfectly. Thanks for the help man🤙🏻
After talking with 5 different techs on their support line and even upgrading the software I downloaded for their web support They told me I would have to take the truck in to Ford for repair. Then I find your video and MAGIC !! Its fixed. Thanks to you !!!
Just did it at 10:30 tonight on a 2010 f250 I just bought it worked great the fuse was in a different place but it worked thank you. God bless you friend
Worked for me. Sync completely disappeared. Could not select anything from the AUX source. After doing this, my phone connects And I can play my music again through sync. This seems to be a notoriously buggy system. Make sure you do the firmware updates from a USB flash drive. That helped a lot.
Thank you so much for this. I just fixed my problem with sync allowing phone calls but not allowing audio to play on my 2011 ford Raptor. I was already gonna take it in and probably be charged $100. Thank you thank you!
Awesome video, Appreciate you taking the time to post this, Had a issue for 3 months after watching the video and trying it out, it worked, thx soon much.
You deserve everything good in life. Thank you for posting this. It worked perfectly. I’d also advice not to drop the fuse down the hole into the door like I did 😅 took lots of time and small hands to get it
Thanks for the video, tried the fuse truck, didn't work. Then disconnected the negative battery cable (10mm), cycled the ignition switch a couple of times to dump any capacitors and then re- connected the battery. Sync came back on line however, was acting a little off. We then performed a factory sync reset by holding the power and seek forward buttons for 10sec. Everything woking as of now. Thanks for the content.
U ever had it just keep trying to boot up or be stuck ima loop? Ford, then Sony, then on and on. Shows it’s connected to your phone but never completely turn on or make a sound?
my 2011 has an aftermarket stereo. battery started dying overnight. mech said the sync is running all the time for some reason. if I disconnect the sync fuze will this cut it and eliminate my drain problem?
You can do that but you will lose all your radio stations. You should check the fuse first anyways before you go to the battery. Because If fuse is blown then unhooking the battery won’t work.
Dennis Givens for some reason I didn’t loose my radio stations , my 2016 f-150 didn’t show a fuse labeled SNYC , that’s why I unhooked the battery, thanks for your help !
It worked on mine right away. I would try to unhook the battery if the fuse don’t work. And if your still having the error you might have to take it to the dealer.
It’s worth a shot. I would try both at the same time. I would give it a good 10 minutes make sure you unhook both battery cables. If your in a hurry you can take the unhooked battery cables and touch the engine block or bear metal somewhere on the vehicle. This will make sure all the cables are depleted of any voltage. Just make sure the battery is not connected to any of the cables when doing this.
+luciferslettuce not sure if the fuse isn't blown then it could be make sure there is no green stuff in the fuse box if there is you will want to clean it.or it could be a loose wire in the box.
Didn't work for me! But I just pulled fuses # 2 & 13. I have a 09 King Ranch so I'll check the manual & try again. I get no connection code no matter WHAT I do!!
Did you try to unhook the battery if the fuse don’t work I would try that if that don’t take care of it. You might have to check fuse box for green corrosion.
Any idea as to why when I accidentally shut off the radio and quickly turned it back on the radio lost sound and little smoke came out above the radio? Also I didn't have sound after that and radio lit up as working but my battery was completely dead 2 days later and idk what it could be
Sounds like the radio shorted out. Sounds like you might have to replace it. A junkyard would be the cheapest way to replace it or you can go aftermarket. The short could be drawing power from the battery. Thanks for the comment.
I have no idea why it would happen. But what ever did happen I would say it’s staying on and draining the battery. I would unplug the radio and see if the battery stays charged if it does the radio is staying on and draining the battery
You did not start the truck with the fuse out. Another RUclipsr started his truck and ran it for about a minute. Thoughts? I pulled the fuse plus I disconnected the ground on the battery and left everything off for several minutes. Nothing changed on my Sync.
I have a 2010 ford expedition limited and i did this it didnt work. My phone connects via bluetooth with calling but not audio media. Also i tried the aux cable put it on the proper settings for aux that doesn't work either. I loaded music onto a stick drive that wont work either. Only way to play music is through jukebox or cd. Please Help.
Have you tried unhooking the battery? Sometimes the fuse don’t always work. If not try that you will have to take both cables off the battery. You can wait 30 minutes and hook it back up. If you don’t have that much time for that take both battery cable when they are unhooked form the battery and hold them together for 30 seconds to clear all the residual power in the cables.
@@RktsledTv i work offshore and something was running my battery down and my truck would be dead by time i got off the boat. So i was unhooking my battery for 2 weeks at a time i did try the bluetooth since then after factory resetting the sync. And it still didnt work.
Not to ask a dumb question. But on my truck I have to select Bluetooth audio in the menu. Under select source? Mine won’t work unless I do that before I start driving.
@@RktsledTv Yeah most of the time im sitting in my driveway doing everything. The fuse looks good. I even had someone else connect their phone and try it and it did the same thing. Idk whats going on with it.
That could be. That’s why I don’t like electrical work. All you can do is try to chase it back and check all connections. Sorry I couldn’t be more help
Thanks man. I have another issue with my f150. The cargo area lights are not working. I already check the fuses and they are ok..... what I else can do??
If it’s not the fuse it’s probably the bulb. Depending on the year. On the passenger side there is a wire under the kick panel they used bad tape. I would only check that if the bulbs are good.
