It’s ridiculous really. Everyone goes mental over people like DiCaprio only winning after 4 nominations. Yet Ken Bragnah’s contribution to cinema is far greater and he had 7 nominations (all in different categories!) before his win. But DiCaprio gets the standing ovation and the praise.
It was heartwarming however to see Judi Dench standing, looking like a proud mum during his speech!

Many people considered her to be one of the best actress of her generation even try to compare her with Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett for her acting style and the roles she liked to choose, that's saying something. Many people also say that her Oscar win was very long overdue, she should've won her first for Zero Dark Thirty (the movie that she won a Golden Globe for), 3 Oscar nominee (one win), Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012, how in the bloody hell she's underrated?
