- We love a fast Ford here at Fast Car, so this was a video that made us extremely jealous. We met up with Grant Butler, or Butsy as you may know him, and took a look around his amazing Ford collection. With incredible modified and stock examples of Escort Cosworths, Sierra Cosworths, Focus RSs, a Series One RS Turbo (or is it) and even a Mondeo thrown in for good measure. This sure is a car collection to make any enthusiast green with envy.

What an absolute gent, love that hes not one to hide his cars away an be overly stuck up over them,,, cant wait to see minty with the full st running gear, engine ect, thatll be a serious handful.... Comes across as a nice guy an love that hes lets the young ones sit in an experience his cars at shows, that really does mean the world to the kids and their parents, i remember being allowed to sit in a 6r4 metro at a show when i was 10/11 yr old and that memory just shines out as a quality experience and the the owner giving me 5mins to explain some of its features and how it was a real game changer in the old group b rally days,... Full respect to the collection and owner...
Thank you! I always like to take time to speak to anyone at the shows. It’s how I make friends and try to kinda inspire the young ones. I remember how excited I was when I was their age seeing the cars and if my favourite car was at a show for the owner to let me sit in it or talk to me about it gave me a buzz. I just want to hopefully pass that experience on.
Sometimes I works sometimes I just end up with sticky finger print a over the car 😂

Bought a wrecked RS500 back in 2003 for 8k and had it shipped to the U.S. Fixed it all up the right way, basically a show car and Built it to race .. had no idea it would be worth what it is today.. i still beat the living crap out of it every chance i get
Bought it from Germany .. all Group A suspension.. Red top. Back in the day i converted it to AWD from a donor Sapphire, then restored it back to original.. then i bought an RS and tossed all that into it but made it look like RS500 with all Original body parts and driveline.
Proper diamond geeza! As an Essex Boy seeing all these lovely motors in one place is heaven. I was a Boy Racer back in the 90s in Essex and used to see these motors tearing about back in the day, great memories of Southend etc.
The best thing is Butsy’s cars still see the streets. Not Southend’s streets but Scotland’s.

Love this vid, my old man had a Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth. Loved this car until one night came back from the cinema to the car park and find it gone. Never seen again 😢

Thank you. My Dad’s 3dr Sierra RS Cosworth definitely cemented my love of cars. Remember him picking me up from school in it for the first time in 1986. That car is still around and the current owner has had it since the late 80s.

Grant is as down to earth as you could ever meet with a great passion for the Ford range , spent a weekend in stand with him and the custom Ford group few years back and had a great time and chat with them all 👍🏻👍🏻❤️

I have an Aventador, Huracan and a DB9. I’d rather do that than buy a load of cheaper cars. Though I have owned an RS turbo and 3 door Cosworth. Loved them.

Nice collection. But I'd say Mark King possibly has the best RS collection in the whole of the UK. Martin Hadlands old Mondeo Cosworth lives in the collection too.

Shame the US did'nt get most of these. The US big three just do not know how to build cars. They do big truck pretty (minus the Stellantis Ram) but not good reliable cars. Love this little pocket rockets.

As impressive as that focus was, the engine bay and body styling just look so boring and plain alongside the old school cosworths

@@davenewton8572has it been dyno proven yet? This was built in 2017 and the last run it made was 1056bhp on a hub dyno.
This was the first mk2 Rs in the world to check the 1000bhp barrier. It won’t be the last that’s for sure
