Little cheat to getting your prusik knot off. Grab just behind the knot on the main line and slide the knot toward you. The prusik should slide easley to get it off the button. Hope this helps. PS all of the amsteel guys ropes are great products.
Is there a major difference between this and the Vital Grounds Outdoors PSH? Trying to get rid of the cam strap and have no metal just trying to find the best option.
I really don’t think it’s much harder if at all because you can really rely on your lineman’s belt or if you’re one stick climbing, you can rely on your tether. I mean, I guess there could be a few instances where it’s not as easy, But I really don’t think it would be much harder if at all. Thanks for the feedback.
@Platinum Pursuit Outdoors are you going to the GAOS? I just started hunting at 44. No luck this year. Would like to go to the show to try out a saddle and platform. It would be great to meet you at the show perhaps.
I used the USA system on my sticks all season and loved them. As you said, it can be tough to get them off from time to time. I am curious if you think the XL version would be sufficient to use on a stand "LWCG .5". Considering you trust it with a platform I can't see why it couldn't be used on a stand. Great video!
I did my own trial of the standard not the XL on my seeker. I put shock on the platform. This caused the amsteel to turn light Grey almost white in one spot. Definitely the XL with a stand or platform.
I have not… I believe you had asked me before, or at least somebody did. I was going to go out and try it, but everything seem to fall apart in my life there for a couple days lol. I will try it tomorrow and get back with you.
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors I assume it would attach the same to start. Then maybe need a castration ban on other end tighten then cam. But cam an post like predator an out on lime bracket is two main platform.
Just use the two prusicks that came with it and the elastic cord is to wrap it all together and or when you wrap your ropes in transport mode to attach the elastic to the versa button or step
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors that makes sense, but all three prussics came on the rope, there all meant to be. I think you send the one by itself through the other two, then put the single on the button
Great channel. I can’t believe you don’t have 10X more subs. Great audio and no blasting or background music.
I appreciate the kindness! Feel free to pass the word on! 😁
Also, anything I can do to help, let me know.
Watching and liking all of your videos in progress. Thanks
Man I really just love how solid it gets, great video
Yeah its legit! The Amsteel guy has made the USA even better. Check out the new ones. Doing a video soon.
Another great video on an interesting product. Thank you for all you do.
Thx!

Thanks for stopping in.
Just ordered one from Eastern woods. Thanks for the video
Awesome! Your welcome!
I think I will give one a try this season. Great video.
Check out my latest video. He has revised them and they’re even better.
I used them on my sticks this season. Works good, sometimes to good. Hard to get the prusik knot off ,but it works 👍. Might try it for my platform.
Nice! I used the Tethrd One Sticks so didn’t need the USA.
Is there a major difference between this and the Vital Grounds Outdoors PSH? Trying to get rid of the cam strap and have no metal just trying to find the best option.
I think the difference is the PSH is almost double the material. It certainly works but seems more cumbersome imo.
Been using 1/8" Amsteel daisy chains on my Beast Sticks and my platform, super easy and fast. this is an interesting idea.
Sweet!
Great review video as always. Thanks for these.
Thx man! Appreciate the feedback!
Another great review. Appreciate it. How much harder is it on you climbing stick vs the ground?

I am definitely Tuesday and Thursday.
Stay in touch and maybe we can connect for sure!

I would not hesitate to give it a try on the .5!
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors I like the idea of double wrapping. I never thought to try that with the sticks but it makes a lot of sense.
It seems to make it rock solid… sometimes too solid! Lol
Really nice review. I missed you at the Great American Outdoor Show show. I would have loved to talk to you. Keep up the great work!
Hey thx! Man hate that! Would have been nice to meet you!
What boots are you wearing? are they Hanwags? do you like them?
These are the uninsulated Crispi Nevada GTX boots. Love them!
Would you have any reservations using 1/8 amsteel to attach a platform instead of 1/4
I wouldn’t as far as strength issues. Sam, The creator said for platforms the larger version seem to work a little bit better.
I have one and I’m going to experiment with it at some point in time.
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors I have the EDP platform and will give it a shot

What part of PA? I'm in southwest, fayette county.
I live close to Danville Pennsylvania.
What part of Pa are you in? I'm up north eastern part. Susquehanna County.
Another good vid...keepem coming
So I am just south of 80 near Danville.
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors Good ag down there. I'm up in the mountains. 90%woods a few old hay/weed fields. Love the vids very informative.
Nice man! I cut my teeth in hunting up near Trout Run North above Williamsport! Thx for the feedback!
Daisy chain and timber hitch is still the best
I’ve seen the timber hitch. Seems to work good.
👍
Did you try it on the battlement yet?

True.. We shall see you tomorrow. I have it on my list to do.
Finally got one and it came with 3 prussic knots!! I'm Soo freaking confused! Cannot get this mess to work at all!!!
Three? Lol not sure about that. Did you get the pro?
Yes, USA light. two and an elastic band all together plus another prussic by itself
Just use the two prusicks that came with it and the elastic cord is to wrap it all together and or when you wrap your ropes in transport mode to attach the elastic to the versa button or step

The best thing to do is reach out to Sam from The Amsteel Guy. He’s pretty quick at getting back with people.
Gotta stop with these videos, I just bought this now too lol. Also what bag is that on your saddle for your repel rope?
Hahaha!
So that is a Latitude Outdoors dump pouch. Fits my Madrock, 34’ of canyon perfect.
@@platinumpursuitoutdoors I have the tethrd roll up pouch but wondering if a dump pouch is the way to go
The dump pouch works well but I am going to try to get my hands on a roll pouch too.
