The kind of people that think that this motorcycle isn’t fast enough, are the sort of people that shouldn’t be on public roads, and riding motorcycles.

    hi people !
I'm French,I'm 46 yo, I'm 6.10 tall, I've bought a triumph trident last may 27th and I just can say that I 'm really in love with this bike since the 1st day !
This is a fantastic bike ! It always want to play ! It's nervous enought to give you great sensations ! You can also ride it just to cruise and have a lot of pleasure on the road. This bike gives you a lot of confidence! You can handle it very easily. I would really recommend this bike ! If you're a young biker with a A2 licence, just try this bike, you'll fall in love with it for sure ! And if you're a "old" biker (with years of experience of riding I mean), I'm sure you'll have a lot of pleasure with this Triumph Trident too.

Own one for two months now, I am a relatively new rider. Did my lessons on a Honda 650R which has a heavier feel in comparison. This is very user friendly. Ride the trident to work on a daily basis. Cuts easy through traffic, has a good punch when you need it, I never have to down shift to get it. Solid bike but nice and light. Can flick it around easy into corners. Very happy purchase, I still find myself just awing at it's beauty before reluctantly throwing the cover over her 😍

I have had my eye on the Trident for ages and thinking of it as my first bike. I have watched every review I could find, but this is by far the best. Hardly anyone talks of the seating for a pillion for example which is a key consideration for me. Thank you and well done.

  • @BraveNuword

This is one the best reviews of this bike and is spot on, every bit. I own this (exact color too!) in Bengalore. Regarding the ground clearance, this bike would scrape any badly constructed speed bumps. I ride solo, and I'm on the heavier side. I stand on the pegs to avoid scraping the underbelly. Also, the minute quirk regarding the seat height, when the bike was new I had to tiptoe. But as the suspension worn in, now I'm able to flat foot. When I test rode it, I was fully able to flat foot, but was shocked that my new bike (with same preload settings I wasn't able to initially).
Also the suspension initially felt stiff and had softened over time. I have so far done 700kms on it. It's just a month old. I'm 5'7. I absolutely love how it handles. This bike is my everyday commute.
It doesn't really grab attention in the streets and in the parking lot. But when you are above 5k RPM ppl definitely notice a big bike on coming. Hope this helps.

Just traded in a 2019 street twin, which was a fine bike, but I wanted to experience a revvy triple. First impressions, it weight, or lack of it, its handling, the fact that it encourages you to ride hard. It makes me smile. I,ve encountered no noticeable throttle lag, the fact is... The first gear is very short and you change up in seconds, commuting and traffic splitting, simple on this bike. You can get into trouble with it, due to its 'thrash me' character. Would suit someone who has had a year or so in the saddle. Thanks for the vids lbig fellas.

Haven't seen one up close but from online reviews it looks very small for someone over 6', colour choice doesn't do it any favours either. Must say I really enjoy your reviews and the depth you go into, keep it up. A scoring system, based on level of difficulty for the DIY mechanic could be useful - oil change, chain adjustment, lever adjustment, service intervals, spark plug access.... any potential difficulties for the home mechanic to do it themselves

Excellent review, you really do get a feel for the bike with those ride past shots. I think I'll stick with my 2014 T100. One thing makes me laugh though is the posters complaining about the bike not being made in the UK, so wouldn't buy it. There are support teams - design, marketing, sales etc based in the UK depending on sales on this and other models. Take off your blinkers, and buy the bike best for you, irrespective of where it's made or where the parts come from. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

The other thing that no one ever mentions in reviews is that Triumph is one of the only manufacturers that puts the horn in the right place! I've just changed bikes too many times but the horn can be really difficult to find, especially without removing your hand from the clutch which you don't want to do when riding in the city as I do every day.

Mind on that if you spec it up fully you’ll put a further £2000 on the list price

new rider here, just a few months of experience but love the trident. i find myself out on it and not wanting to end the ride. it's confidence inspiring and i'm finding that as my skill levels go up that it gets more and more rewarding to ride. the quick shifter is great at times and clunky at others but maybe that's just because i haven't quite got it figured-out yet. however i've read on forums where this is common. i'm 6' tall and it feels very comfortable. do i look too tall for it? i don't care.

Owned a Trident 660 for 6 months now, love it. Im 5ft 10 85kg, I think I'm probably the max person size for the bike without looking a bit odd tho. Also the throttle lag is a bit strange, but you get used to it and then it's a non issue really; just weird at first. I would like to get an aftermarket exhaust soon though. Also: definitely worth buying a 7x5" plate to replace the monster that comes with it as standard (this is technically illegal, but the coppa would have to be in a really bad mood to actually get you in to trouble over it though).

You are not built like a gorilla, you earned it. Never forget :) Would like to put my leg over this one. Don't really like the tripples. They pull thru the mid range for sure, but I feel like they are tasteless. Love the downpull on twins, and the top end power on 4inlines. This one looks cool, but I don't like that cheap brakeleaver. I know it's small, but still. You pay for premium, you expect it to be premium.

Let's see if they pick a few things from predecessors.
    1. Cheap-looking foot brake lever - according to Chris from Bike World "is from Chinese scooter" :) and some Germans reviewers on Tenerife pointed it is poor engineering.
    2. Rear monoshock, looking poor/cheap as well but some technical guy (don't remember YT channel, he is well respected, they make bike mods) said it will have to be covered because all crap goes straight into it (performs ok most ppl said)
    3. Big ugly brake master cylinder "in the front of your vision", been seen apparently on some Kawasaki's from 70's :)
    4. Throttle lag - this one is inconclusive, one Japanese guy said it is bad, some journalists said is there but not bothersome, some did not notice at all. One guy from Thailand presented it clearly, lag is there.
    5. Radiator, too large. If you drop the bike, it could be easily broken because sticks out (speculation).
I haven't seen a single review of the bike with quick shifter, so we don't know how well it works.
Not many negatives overall from reviews, the bike looks solid. Engine performance seems to be good. Is it MT 07 killer? No is not. But it fits into the segment quite well.
