Anyone else out there who could listen to Chris talk about bikes all day long ? 🤣 as already stated great review ! 🤙🏻
Agreed! He’s good at what he does..
And getting better all the time. Best bike reviewer now in my opinion. 👍
Me!
@@masongoss4615 maybe not best, but definitely one of the best.
Count me in too ..
Probably one of the best reviews I’ve ever seen of a bike, Chris is bang on 👍🏼
100%! 👍😎🇦🇺
Brilliant as always! No rubbish, no commercial, just how we need to to hear. Thanks!
Agree..
Great to see a really good rider push this bike down some sketchy UK roads. It's not all hype, this looks a great bike at the right price.
Finally, a Trident 660 review that pushes the bike hard. Thank you, Sir!
This is a good review by someone who actually knows what he's talking about, so much better than a on bike review....
Cheers Stephen, we're determined to keep producing the best quality content we can.
This dude is the most Tennessee looking Englishman I've ever seen in my life. Love his reviews too....great work mate!
Haha I was thinking he's the most Aussie looking Englishman I'd seen
Not sure if that’s a compliment or not 😂
@@richfromlondon3254 he’d have to be in prison clothes to look Aussie
It’s a compliment...if it was an insult they would have said, West Virginian, hick, or shit kicker...he looks like yer average decent class, educated working class man who’s drinking on Saturday night to keep church on Sunday morning a little more interesting.
@@kjhardy7218 Ha. Might I add, shooting some guns on the farm Sunday afternoon at the empty beer cans.
If people learn to park their egos and realise 200bhp is utterly, utterly pointless on our roads, they will be beaming ear to ear on something like this.
Exactly, 200hp is for tracks, specially when after looking at the fact that average motogp track speed is 180kph😃😂. Speak now street rossis...
Totally agree
My K1200R is really REALLY fun tho lol.
to each his own, i'd be no faster on a twisty road with regardless of how much power i have on tap. With that said, power is fun!
I just upgraded from an 08 SV650S to a 23 Trident 660. Now I loved the sv, it taught me a lot, but I can’t overstate how much more FUN the trident is. On paper it is slightly slower 0-60, and lower top speed too I think, but it feels significantly faster than the SV. I learned to stop caring about what’s faster or which has a higher top speed, and go purely on feel alone, the Trident 660 is utter bliss.
Just found this review and I have to say, as an owner of the Triumph Trident 660, I agree with everything said. Wonderful engine made for winding roads, good torque, and I do not need high speed. The suspension is really magic and I have to make an compliment to Triumph, they found a setting that fits perfectly for daily driving. The brakes I also like very much, they are not for racing, OK, but give a very good sense of confidence and they are as I like it, with a type of build in progression. Not to aggressive at the first moment, but then stronger and stronger. I think something very good i.e. when you get in "panic situations". I could go on and on, but the review described it well. Thanks for it.
@Dick Thundernutz I left the suspension as it is. I just adjusted the rear preload to maximum to fit my weight, which is similar to yours.
2 years later how do you feel? Still an owner?
Triumph must love this guy. Best review of this bike on You Tube by a long way. He makes it look such great fun to ride and must have convinced a lot of folks to get one.
I like Chris. Knows his business and does it with a smile.
Hands down best motorcycle content on the web. Ok maybe tied with FortNine.
I’m a bit confused (at the time of posting this) 5 people had given this a 👎!?! Not sure what rock they live under however this is by a very long way the best, honest, humble review I’ve watched by someone who actually knows what he’s talking about! Thanks Chris, for your thoughts! Always appreciated. 👍😎🇦🇺
Cheers Marcus, thanks for the support.
You have the best review on this bike I’ve seen! Gained a new sub 🤙🏽
Thanks and welcome!
Great review , finally someone understands what triumph built in this machine . Something you can grab it by the scruff of neck and thrash it and it won’t intimidate putting a smile on your face 👍
Great review. And the thing that most reviewers miss is how addictive it is to have a bike with fully usable power, it gives you an extra 33.3% enjoyment according to a stat I just made up.
I'm just 21 (yes i think that's young), and I've ridden R1,CBR1000RRR-SP, ZH2, Ducati Panigale V4, Daytona 675r, R6, Ninja ZX 10, ninja Zx6, Ninja 300, RE 350,Himalayan,650s, t100, and speed triple, i had owned a R1, but sold it for other reasons and investments, and got a cycle instead of the bike, and now i am looking forward to getting a Trident 660 , or the Triumph Speed triple, cuz even after riding all i have ridden, ( even been to track a few times) is that no matter what, 200hp is not needed , and all these bikes are great, these 200hp r1s , Panigales, e.t.c, are pretty useless from ergonomics, useless low end, in the street what i suggest is the street triple, or the speed triple .
Cuz :
Such a beautiful sound , the exhaust sound changes as the rev increases , from sophisticated in the low to the roaring in the high ,
Mechanically (a mechanical engineer here) , and as a bike enthusiast, 3 Cyls are the best when it comes to power delivery, low end torque + top end rush , and due to triumphs T-plane crankshaft (perfect secondary balance) this thing revs very high for a engine that size , and reaches redline quicker than any I4...
I've plenty experience, owned an R1 (sold last year and got a cycle), r6, zx 10r, the busa, Zh2, RSV4, panigale, cbr 1000, and z900 , daytona 675, street triple 675RS, RE bikes, and what not , but i find three cyls the best among inline 4s and 2s (Vs are better ). (Except some radicals i4s ).
After riding all those crazy R1s and 200hp race machines, i understand now that top speed and the hp doesn't matter much, what is loved and addictive is the torque delivery!
Even motogp average track speed is 180kph. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I think, that was possibly one of the best bike reviews I've ever watched, presentation, information, opinion, all the wheat sorted from the Chaff!
I now know more about the Trident than from all the other reviews put together. Top work!
I listen to Micheal Neeves to know if a bike is sensible or not. Then I listen to Chris to see if a bike is fun or not. Don't need to know anything else.
That's true.
One of the best reviews I've seen on the Trident, seriously great! Thanks for sharing.
You reviews are the best mate, so good at actually giving it how it is. Keep it up.
"It does wheelies" sold it to me, I'm having one 😊
This video above all others I've seen has made me want this bike.
Thanks Chris! I enjoyed your review. Made my booking today!
Best reviewer out there as far as I'm concerned. Informative and to the point. Nice work Chris.
Excellent review! I love Fortnine and Zach Courts, but this video is right up there with the best of them. You also gave the bike a proper thrashing on those country roads. As a returning motorcyclist, this bike is on the top of my list.

After riding crazy 200hp race bikes, i know and understand that the hp is not all that matters, that's why my top of the bikes list is 3 cyls .
Actually my research and experience says that Torque is more addictive that top speed . Isn't it so?
For me :
Street bike: Trident 660 always.
Occasional track days and more power : Street triple RS
Track junkie bike, that is awesome on the streets :Speed triple 1200 RS.
Another great review! Thanks, Chris!!!
👨👩👧❤
Good job. Best Trident review I’ve seen. Keep up the good work!!!
Cheers Gregory
Thx for that clear & fun bringing Video ! Exactly my thoughts, while riding it for an hour try from the dealer … such fun, so easy, but still powerful, more than enough for our black Forrest twisties here.
Beside the Speed Twin (bigger, more expensive, but just another dream) one of my favourite 2-bike-alternatives to my 2012-GS 😍✨👍🏻
Perfect review! Thanks dude 😊
Really fantastic review. The right amount of honest information from a seasoned rider with no drama. It’s great that he describes how the bike is for and where it sits in the market.
Great no BS no nonsense channel and brilliantly presented.
Glad you like it Chris, I’ve picked up mine two days ago and love it
Must love these 3cyls man!
Brilliant review as usual chris. Really appreciate your honesty and down to earth presentations. Should be a good bike for new riders, thats for sure.
Great review Chris, thanks. 👍👌
Great review Chris, look forward to many more!
Chris should do all the reviews from now on.
best review ive seen for this bike. along with the hard riding
I really enjoy watching your footage + the comment of course. I made even couple of screenshots from other video with my bike haha. Really pleasing to spend my time for it.
Excellent review, probably the best for the Triumph Trident I’ve seen!
You do the best reviews in the business Chris. Love to see the bikes get a proper workout
Nice video. It's really impressive to watch Chris chuck these bikes around narrow UK backroads!
Excellent review. Really enjoyed listening to Chris and watching him ride. Left me feeling like I actually learned about the bike. Well done sir. By the way, what a road, looks like tons of fun.
Just caught an episode of "thanks for asking" with Neeves. He said you were currently the fastest journalist alive. Must be hard being the fastest and the coolest. Keep doin' what you're doin' and thank you..........really, thank you
We’re doing our best not to show him. 😂
Quality review, thanks Chris
Wonderful way with words for a stellar review. Bought the bike. Thank you.
I bought the trident 660, my first motorbike ever... I love her ❤️
Best review of trident. Awesome man.
Great review. Thank you 👍🏻
Great reviews Chris, proper unbiased overview. Beautiful looking machine, a lot of bike for the money
Professional job - well done, sir. Thanks
To the point review, I like that. Came away with a well rounded idea of your opinion. 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Great video Chris, it's just like one of your mates - who can actually ride - telling you like it is.
Just bare faced honesty, thanks
Absolutely awesome
First time viewer, really enjoyable, thanks 👍
Finally a proper review. Thank you!
Great review Thanks 😊👍
After all I've heard about this bike, I just knew it was a hooligan machine and was waiting for a hooligan to show its abillitys. Nice one. No offence intended.
Chris, You one hell of a Rider, it’s always a pleasure to see you handle a bike ;-) I see forward to se how you will handle the big one.
I order the Trident, but can see, I will need a little more riding practice, to handle the bike like you👌
Thanks

And also
Trident 660: Beginner
Street triple 765 RS : Experienced
Speed triple 1200 RS: Very experienced rider.
After riding 200hp bikes and a load of others, basically every kind of bike you can think of, i believe that hp is not what makes a bike fun, it's the torque delivery, and the gorgeous quality and comfort, even on a track, cuz I've seen guys with speed triples destroying supersports.
And remember that the average motogp track speed is also 180kph , so top speed doesn't matter mate.
Gotta love these 3 cyls, get the Trident, you can definitely handle it.
Fun, fun, fun.......that’s what it’s all about.
Great riding footage and sound 👍
Great great review Chris !
Very nice review on that bike Chris! Quite annoying hearing other reviews were everything is perfect on that bike! A honest review is appreciated..keep the pace...
Decided to save up for a Trident after seeing this! Awesome review!
Great review.
I rode a speed twin in the 1960's and loved it. My wife and I rode from London to Glasgow in the rain and it was surefooted all the way.
For me Triumph = Quality.
Excellent review, as always.
In the market for my first multi cylinder. Your review was tailor made for my thoughts and questions. As a returning motorcyclist, 80HP is enough. Sold!! Great review, opinions, precise. Keep em coming. Cheers.
Really great review! I like in the Paris region and have been through loads of bikes in the past couple of years. Finally "settled" on a little Frantic 500 Scrambler as a fast, light, fun bike for short commutes and errands. But I have to admit I'm once again tempted!! Damn!
Fantastic review no bull s##t great little bike for commuting or a Sunday blast looking for too more videos stay safe 🇬🇧
Really nice review. Cheeers :)
Great review. Thumbs up across the world Bro
Just a great review, brilliant visuals, engaging commentary. Really made me wanna get me a go on one of them! 👍🏼
Thanks Rob!
Great review, as usual
Great review 👍
The crystal white color option didn't grew on me until you rode it - hooligan mode...AWESOME TAKE! 💪
Great review , I’m still getting one 😄
hey Chris. just wanna say that I consider you the most passionate and entertaining and interesting to listen and competent motorcycle journalist in whole youtube. it just feels that you love motorcycles. and to other moto junkie it’s obvious)
Every. Single. Time...Chris makes the best reviews.
Great reviewer. Give this guy all of your bike reviews.
Good review Chris and on roads I now well.
Love your stuff!!
Really great review , probably the best reviewer , only 2nd to eri henning and zack courts, those are legends too, but you're the true hooligan, I'm squidding vicariously through you!

Great review. I’m now a subscriber 👌
Thanks, keep the comments coming!
Very good reiew without any noise and nuisance... keep making similar reviews
Proper review, not like another Utuber I can think of! I think that 80 odd HP is possibly the most fun and useable power to have. Well done Chris, will subscribe now.
Cheers Neil, thanks for subscribing!
On point as always.
What a fantastic honest review 👏
Typically excellent (read insightful) review. Glad to hear the new Triumph is the bike I hoped for.
Good review 👍
Your review was fantastic
Always great reviews. You love bikes. Have my eye on this trident. But also the livewire one. Go figure. Two totally different bikes. And price points. 😎
Great review. Thank god someone actually tells the truth about a bike. It’s a big 👍from me.
Excellent review Chris. I think the Trident delivers quite a bit for the price and could be a great everyday bike for even experienced riders.
nice video thanks for sharing, I am now expecting mine to arrive in july here in philippine.
Mexico just got a whole lot more rural. What a lot of bike for not too much money. Sorely tempting. Great pragmatic review.
That's where my brake master cylinder got to, been looking for that, thanks.
Reminds me of Neevsey from MCN. Great review!
Great review mate, I think this was the review that tipped me over the edge and made me decide to buy one. One of the early reviews I saw, have watched many since, this is still the best. And username Kate's, but that's cos she's sexy, (can't compete with that sorry mate 🤣) My trident is arriving any day, can't wait! These last few days.. sheesh!
Bought one today. MATT black, Bluetooth, belly pan. New.... get it next Tuesday. Used to own a street triple 675.
Best looking and the most forward looking bike they done in years
Chris, you just became my favorite reviewer.
Great review dude, this is the bike my wife has her eye on. Cant wait till they hit the showrooms and we can actually go down and try one.
She'll love it Andy, let us know how she gets on.
