Isn’t the idea behind prosecuting criminals a deterrent effect on others who might perpetrate the same transgression? Why are public officials heels to a lower standard rather than a higher standard, since they are in a position of public trust which they have violated. That is fraud in a massive scale, they should suffer the full weight of the laws and then some.

I still haven't seen any conclusive evidence that the chief was involved. All of the recordings are by the people who we know are guilty. Now, all of a sudden, we have a piece of paper with a simple notation in the left margin? When was that written in? There should be more evidence than what these spurned officers have said.

If this was just 1 or 2 beat cops, then we’d be holding their supervisors responsible. This is high level supervisors, so we have to hold their supervisors responsible.
Her blame shifting and demoting underlings would be appropriate if she also demoted herself or resigned. But she didn’t, she is expecting to go on business as usual because she tossed some scraps to the wolves (her underlings).
