- In a collection of recorded conversations, Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams’ top aides privately stated that she misled the city council and public in the wake of an ABC15 investigation that exposed how police and prosecutors falsely charged protesters as gang members. Williams publicly claimed the gang charges were a “bad idea” and that there was a failure by her chain of command to inform her of the decision.
I don’t see how it’s fair “also made up fake charges against civilians” the irony

Back in the late '60s / early 70s New York City almost did that. Plans were to call in the National Guard until a new department could be built. Finally decided that wouldn't be fair to the Guard, who aren't trained to police. Knapp Commission.
Fire EVERYONE was the idea, from Commissioner to street patrol cops to car mechanics.
The true book "Serpico" caused much of the public outrage. An honest cop, disgusted by what he saw. Made into great movie with Al Pacino. Highly recommend.
After Frank Serpico had released info to the NY Times (first presenting it to department with no results), an attempt was made on his life by another copy who was convicted of attempted murder. Afterwards Serpico had to retire on disability which he was deeply saddened by. He loved being a police officer and helping people.

When false charges are directed towards the people it’s perfectly fine but when it’s directed towards the crooked police you hear them crying it’s unfair. Dam we as the people are in trouble being policed by these criminals in blue.

Premiums go up and actuaries recalculate. Some insurers are no longer offering the same policies. They will not cover anything that doesn't earn them a profit. The pushback is real, and it's happening now.

One thing most people don't know is that cops treat each other as bad as they treat the public.

Trust me, I was a bootlicker before I moved to Arizona. When I moved there, I saw why people want to Defund the Police.

It's funny to watch these stories years later, one after another. At first, the police claimed there was no wrongdoing. Then one video or recording comes out. Then one police officer or government member speaks out. Then next thing you know everybody turns on one person. It always comes down to one person. And that person never goes to jail. They are allowed to retire and they receive a very generous pension package and the next person is put into their position to start the corruption all over again. It's ridiculous.

The other side is the students that were wrongfully accused. These cops are mad they got busted ? Their defense is - everyone was doing it can we have our jobs back? Anyone involved in this needs to face charges and lose their certifications.
