You can sense how emotional and happy Sam are to bring Alan back after all these years. Such a passionate man, very happy for him
Exactly. I’ve always appreciated how passionate he is about what he does
He's woke

I hope Barry will return in the second game. He was so funny and loveable. Expecting to see Rose, Sarah and Pat too.
I don't know about Pat, but I'm positive we'll see Rose and Alice both.
@@PierzStyx The actress who played Alice's has passed away... Don't know if we're gonna see her for this reason. Ofc they can change the model, but it might be kinda disrespecful
@@Pig64 oh damn
@@Pig64 they replaced hartman after his actor's death, don't know why they can't replace the actor for a very important character
I hope we will see Barry and Alice. I hope there will be a big scene when Alan meets his wife again
The gaming industry would be much better off if more people in it were like Sam Lake.
Call it a hyperbolic statement, but I legit don't think there's a single developer who is more passionate about the stories and games they create or who has more dedication than Sam Lake does. The fact he kept trying to make a game for 13 years, but never could and is finally now able to release his dream game is just so inspiring and I'm sure most people would've given up after awhile, but Sam held and hoped one day he'd be able to bring Alan Wake back because Alan Wake just means that much to him. The purest definition of a passion project.
He’s not a Sam lake he’s a Sam ocean
@@Sm0k3turt I see what you did there
I'm an adult now and the first time I played Alan Wake was in middle school. I'm so happy that as a fan my dream game is your dream game! I can't stress how excited I am for the sequel of my favourite game of all time!
I was 15 when I played it. Now I'm 28. I played on it a gt 210 at 720p low lol. Got a 3060 ti now and I play at 1080p so I think I'll be alright now. Can't wait to play this game.
@@rahul-qm9fi My man! I'm about two years younger than you. Glad we can relate
im the same, i playrd it at 11 years old with my dad( wich was cool cuz my dad was stopping his gaming a bit so we connected with AW.) and i vividly remember saiyng to him, that AW was my first favorite game. now at 26 and 50 im sending him the trailers and chatting a lot with him . im so so excited that i can just barely contain myself
Guys, I recommend multiplayer of Max Payne 3, its so fun and still played on PC
I grew up playing Remedy’s best titles. I played Max Payne 1 and 2 on PC loved both of them, unlike any other game I had played at that time. Then I played Alan Wake which was good but Alan Wake II is exactly what I wanted in the first place. A twisted, survival horror game. I also really enjoyed Control, in my book Remedy can do no wrong!
Listening to Sam always makes me smile. Such an inspiration! Thank you for all the stories!
The first time I played Alan Wake, I was deployed to Iraq. I loaned it to a buddy who passed away before he can beat it. I have played Alan Wake every year on the anniversary of his death every year since. To see the sequel on the horizon, is to see a new way to pay tribute to a good man who died far too soon.
Thank you, Remedy. Truly. Thank you
Condolences RIP to your friend
Beautiful story glad you shared brotha
Starting this off with Sam's announcement to the fans from back in the day really pulled at my heartstrings.
Anyone on PlayStation who hasn't played Alan Wake yet, I would highly recommend it. It's on ps+ this month and with the sequel around the corner there is no better time than now.
Its not a lake its an ocean.
Hopefully they can pull away from that Fortnite mess and call of duty garbage and play this masterpiece
thanks for giving the heads up that its on ps plus! ill check it out
@@Finlandpro1it’s def worth the binge. You’ll love it!
@@Finlandpro1 you may question it at first but I promise the game is worth completing. The remaster comes with both of the DLCs also.
I have nothing but love for the team at Remedy, I have been playing their games since Max Payne 1.
What freaks me out is how they’re all saying it’s their most ambitious and weird game yet, which considering Control, is so intimidating and exciting to me.
I know right. The prospect of them topping Control is a monumental and insane task. I hope they stick the landing. This could be their magnum opus
@@EthanRom like, I dug Alan Wake, course I did, but Control may genuinely be my favorite game ever (as long as I haven’t recently played a Dishonored game or Prey, cuz Arkane is dope). I’m just so scared. I’m scared of overhyping myself, I’m scared of the batshit crazy nonsense that’ll be in this game, I’m scared I’ll lose all my friends as I become incapable of talking about anything else….
@@thechevyferrari9559 Looks like you’re gonna need new friends
Oh man, you can see that the nursing home that the Anderson brothers were in that Barry set up for them is in this game. I'm so happy to see that elements from American Nightmare are going to be heavily involved. So stoked for AWII! I've consumed every piece of literature connected to the RCU since I first got into AW. Thank you to the Remedy team for working on what will very likely be a phenomenal, multi-layered experience. The wait will be absolutely worth it!
Remedy doesn't miss. Never. Geniuses at work. Their games are unique and strange with complex story and characters, specially the world they build is so fantastic. Unlike other games in today's time, Remedy always end up creating something different and awesome

The Poet and The Muse is legitimately the best song Poets of the Fall have made.

VALHALLA NURSING HOME! 4:14
I swear the moment they drop Alan’s gameplay sections, everyone is gonna collectively lose their minds. I can’t handle the tease Remedy I’m losing my mind
My first mature game was Max Payne when I was 12, it blow me up. Since that moment until now I follow and love Remedy, keep it going guys ! Im waiting since a long time for Alan Wake 2!
There are only a few gaming companies that get my full respect, but Remedy absolutely deserves it, the love that you put into the games will stay with us for a long time, thank you for your dedication, can't wait to experience the new game.
Never played Alan Wake but I loved Control and that really hit me into it with the DLC. I’m going to play it bf this for sure!
If you have a playstation Alan Wake will be one of July's playstation plus games
Shut the front door! I do 🎉🎉🎉
Alan Wake was remastered so you may want to play that version, but what you really should play is American Nightmare, which focuses on Alan's evil twin Mr. Scratch, who is no doubt going to be an antagonist in Alan Wake 2.
Game's woke
This is by far my most anticipated game. It is leagues ahead any competiton for me.
Thank You ! ✌️🧔
No physical release really hurts. Willing to pay extra for it. If digital only ill be waiting for a sale whereas if physical version was available id be willinggn to pay 80-100 for a copy w a steelbook

damn Bright Falls looks so good now! the first game had such awesome atmosphere, I know this one is gonna exceed hard.
Sam lake is amazing he had no experience about making games he just finish english collage and was just translation games to English after that he made max payne and he never made a single bad game ever since you are my childhood hero sam thank you
If only we could get an adaptation of my favorite show, Address Unknown next.
As a junior game designer I want to say thank you for this great experience. big win for Remedy :) 🔥🔥
I have waited so long and consumed every hint and breadcrumb each Remedy game has left. I really got into Alan Wake when it came out, it was during a bad breakup, it was there for me.
I hope so much for new soundtrack from Poets of Fall 🔥
One of the best things about original game
Please physical edition !!!!
Tonight in NightSprings, comes Alan Wake 2 creator Sam Lake.
i guess that , same as alan needed to write and write , attempt and attempt to rewrite his reality.remedy needed to the same. control allowed both of their realities to be molded into their realities, the dream game and the escape from the dark for both
I love this world and Remedy's creations.
We Need a PHYSICAL COPY of ALAN WAKE II we Fans deserve it so make this happen Remedy
Alan wake 1 is in my top 10 best games of all time ,Remedy knows how to make awsome games.
This game deserves a physical release
when I first played Alan Wake back in 2010 I was 15 yo now I'm 28 Yo and still excited for this game, it has a special place in my heart.
Really hard to believe this will not get a physical release. Itll hurt its sales. I mean both silent hill 2 remake and alone in the dark are getting physical releases.
I can't express by words how excited I am that the day of Alan Wake 2 release is so close ! I've been waiting 13 years!
I always knew AW2 will happen
My hype knows no bounds. All the other games will move aside for the king has returned. :)
I support remedy and i worked in a game store i keep recommended the game to people i got to a point where i become a meme and my co workers thinks i work for remedy lol
I really have faith in you Remedy.
Our boy Alan deserves the best.
Can't wait, but please introduce a dynamic hud or gut it and have the health bar be a visual cue in the players run/walk animation
hope that this Alan Wake 2 is the one we hoped for
Max Payne 1 and Alan Wake is incredible and amazing games. Games you will never forget. Thank you for being a pasionate developer and for trying new things
Hype 500000%
My copy of Alan Wake Remastered is going to be mighty lonely sitting on my shelf without having Alan Wake II next to it.
It's great to always see a flow of influence between horror games as time goes on. When PT came out, it reflected back on RE7, which then spawned the remakes. And now we're seeing familiar interfaces and gameplay from those games on other horror titles.
God i love this company.. one of the last bastions of true love for videogames!
so, SO excited to finally see all the pieces coming together into something that looks transcendentally cool. cannot wait for the game. I'm so glad Remedy & Sam never gave up on our writer friend. 🥺😭💜
It's like if the story itself is alive and took the form it wanted and the time it needed.
We NEED a PHYSICAL RELEASE! 😢❤
Please, relese it with a NG+ and new costumes ad weapons, for people like me that like to play an game over and over again!!
I’m SO HYPE FOR THIS, BEEN WAITING YEARSSS!!

Im so hyped for this game. I love the first one
Sam lake x cory barlog x neil druckman will be fire !!! 👀
The game looks phenomenal but hearing how much excitement and passion there is for the game from the devs only gets me more hyped. Alan Wake 2 is gonna be a special experience and I can’t wait to play the game!
Remedy is love❣️
I love your games so much. My first game was Control and I still play it. I have completed Alan wake remastered and already preordered Alan wake 2 deluxe edition. Only one thing to ask is 'remain independent ' and be on multiple platforms. Love you ❤
Despite of being such an awesome awesome game, I'm still shocked how less people actually know and appreciate Alan Wake. It's just simply one of the most precious gems of video-games. I cannot wait to come back to Cauldron Lake, call me selfish but I also can't wait to listen to more of Old Gods of Asgard, which I hope make their return! Poets of The Fall have been successively amazing in all of Remedy's past games, their music is on different plane of reality and I'm all in for it! Bring it on, October!!
A confusing story, boring repetitive gamepay, no enemy variety, locations all look the same...
What's so surprising?
It’s my dream to see this game released physically 💔
I’ve been waiting 13 years for this, it’s my most anticipated game of the year. Remedy is in my opinion, one of the best developer studios that exists at this point of time and I cannot wait to experience your dream game, because it’s my dream game too🎉🎉🎉
Alan Wake was one the first 10 games I ever bought on Steam and man!! did it deliver something completely unique to everything I had play on PS2 and PS1 graphics where amazing even back in 2012 (when I played it)
So excited for this! I keep replaying key moments of the first game from time to time to this day. The music, the atmosphere, the monologues were epic. Hope this one is going to deliver too! Really keeping my fingers crossed for you guys
Sam Lake is a mastermind.
I'm gonna take a week off from work when this comes out and just immerse myself
that last line made me smile so big. i really need to grip up a PS5
My money is on Alan Wake 2 being a huge hit.
Not to sure, remember only Epic Games are allowed to actually sell it. No steam release.
@@NightshadeX85 Thankfully, Remedy is technically not disturbed if Alan Wake 2 wont sell that much but since Control sold many copies (considering its also EGS exclusive at first) I still think Alan Wake 2 will sell.
huge shit*
Get woke go broke, it'll fail
And because it is released on Epic, Remedy gets more money per sold game (revenue Epic vs Steam is 30/70 on steam, meaning Steam grabs 30%, devs get 70%, on Epic devs get 88%).
HYPE 100000% 🥵🥵🥵
no joke, i almost have not gone a day without thinking about this game since the official announcement…… i am so unbelievably excited. the passion and love behind this- the level of detail involved -and all remedy games… truly refreshing and has me lookin forward to everything you guys do. i'm extremely happy for everybody at remedy, it's obvious that you're super proud of and excited about what you've made! :D can't wait to play it!!
I love the folks at Remedy!! So excited for Alan Wake 2 and then Control 2. I hope there's a Jessie cameo somewhere in AW2 ❤ long prosper the Remedyverse
It looks crazy tbh! Reminds me of one of those dark gritty suspense thriller series like true detective
Super excited about alan wake 2! One of my all time favourite games, love everything about it!
I love you Sam. I so excited for this one. Ill play it day one if god allows me.
✌️🧔 Thank You very much !
I’m glad it’s back, the original game was imperfect but the atmosphere and story was truly unique
I can't wait I remember first played Alan Wake it felt like making your own story
The framing of Saga Anderson at 2:23 made me think it was Barbara Jagger at first glance
Thanks you remedy for the awesome universe you created! Played Alan Wake was the first time a few weeks ago - it was a blast, also replayed the ingenious Control now with both DLC - the game engine and lore are just phenomenal, really hyped for Alan Wake 2, thank you for goosebumps experience that you offer in every single game that you make!
There are not many games that you really want and grateful for the fact of the game existence. It's been a long time, It was obvious that Sam wanted to continue the story and It just warms my heart. Alan Wake 2, man. Congrats to everyone.
Took me a second watch through to realize Julian’s new husband in Mission: Impossible Fallout was THE Alan Wake actor/voice actor 🔥
i cannot express my love for sam lake what a guy he and hes team make two of the greates game ever max ppayne and alan wake i play control too and quantum break but mi hearth is max payne and alan wake

"So with the manuscript pages, kind of trying to find 'novel' ways to tell the story" 🎉 Kyle Rowley understood the assignment. You might even say that, like the FBI, Remedy are doing things "by the book". 😆

Probably the only game I can say I am actually excited for, I still go back and play the 1st 2 games all the time
I'm not preordering nothing anymore but I am very excited about this game. Remedy are a superb studio.
Love your games, love the atmosphere! Waiting for this new chapter of Remedy
I am so happy for you guys! Max Payne had a huge impact on me while i was a kid. It made me search hours for used leather coats that looks at least a bit like Max's. Pretty exited to play Alan Wake II, and i am looking forward for the news about Max Payne remake. :) Wish you all the best!
Cool, I never played Alan Wake until recently, but looking at this makes me more excited because it has more of an horror element to it.
