I'd like to see Max Payne be confirmed as part of the CONTROL and AW universe. I'd say he's his own Object of Power or taps into AWEs somehow which is why he can slow down time, even though he's not conscious of what he's doing. =]
Rockstar Games owns Max Payne now, so they can't particularly refer to him by name from what I understand. Thats why Alex Casey is a nod to Max, but not exactly the same.
They've HINTED so much about Max in Alan Wake 2 for example when *spoiler* Alan escapes the TV studio and runs into a police officer in New York dressed identically as Max Payne. They could pass it off as Casey but I'm pretty sure it's suggested to be Max Payne.
Video games need to get away from ‘universes’. It’s harmed cinema and it will harm these games. Just try and tell individual stories and not turn it into some dumb brand.

And yet people seem to love this game? It’s very confusing. It was genuinely crap.
It's an Amazing game with fun gameplay and puzzles and playing as saga and Alan feel different enough. Every single game gets repetitive. It's a game loop

I really enjoyed this game overall. Got spooked several times and that paranoia they mention definitely got to me as well. Such a twisting story and I really enjoyed it. Tickled my brain in just the right way. The only thing I could've used more of was time with Wake. I enjoyed what we had, but after 13 years, of course I'm going to want more of him. :) Thanks for all the behind the scenes! Lovely seeing so much cast and crew together talking about this.
More video games should be made with story as focus but this game was not that good. Art? You sound just as pretentious as this game was. Eye rollingly bad at times and it became deathly boring as it just felt like one big cutscene. They tried to copy what Lynch does or Nic Roeg and it was quite frankly embarrassing. The dark place? Mr scratch? All terrible ideas. I just wanted it to end.
@@curiositytax9360 I understand your point of view and also your feelings towards the game, since the first ending is somewhat bland. Remember that we all have different points of view. repetitive gameplay with boring puzzles! 7/10
This game was a chore to get through. I didn’t care about anyone and it wasn’t visual enough in any original way to pull me through. The writing was eye rollingly shit. The first game was much better because at least it embraced itself as a video game. And the mystery was fun. Video games compared to proper films are really embarrassing. And yet people seem to love this game? It’s very confusing. It was genuinely crap.
It's an Amazing game with fun gameplay and puzzles and playing as saga and Alan feel different enough. Every single game gets repetitive. It's a game loop
I would have paid 85+ for a physical copy. I will not support at all a digital only release. Remedy doesn’t care about its true fans
It was a financial decision
You will have a chance.
If you noticed, most of these companies are testing the water for digital only games and it saves alot of money considering they don't have to print artwork on physical copies, and not to mention, there's been a leak of the next generational consoles seems to be digital only
You have to support them monetarily or there won't be any more
And because of people like you we probably won’t get an Alan wake 3, you’re not a true fan, a true fan would buy regardless
Saga's campaign 10/10
Alan´s campaign zzzzz
Sick of walking about boring .it's a sucks game and why o why does he have to have his face in game you get the feeling your Max pain .let down of a so called game very boring stage walk game 😢
It's that boring doing nothing just walking around bad let down 😢
They seem to be proud of this game why. We don't what the fuck lol wish I had bought Spiderman two now .
Then why are you watching this if the game sucks?
We do not care.
My guy clicks on a Behind the scenes video just to say he didn't like the game, man get a life
Tbh the Finnish stuff in the game make me feel proud 😅 amazing people 🫶🏻
Just wish the game more about Alan than it was about Saga
woooooow wait a fuckin minute. That's not the actors voice? I thought the actor was just the voice actor... holy fuck, how did they ADR that so well in game.
man sam lake face is so iconic
Because he was mad max?
@@diegoramos27Mad Max? Lmao.
U mean Max Payne?
@@dissuede6949 I meant Max Payne lol
I really enjoyed this game overall. Got spooked several times and that paranoia they mention definitely got to me as well. Such a twisting story and I really enjoyed it. Tickled my brain in just the right way. The only thing I could've used more of was time with Wake. I enjoyed what we had, but after 13 years, of course I'm going to want more of him. :)
Thanks for all the behind the scenes! Lovely seeing so much cast and crew together talking about this.
Watch some David Lynch or Nic Roeg films. This game was painful.
Remedy.. you are artists. They are what the industry should be today. Thank you for this work of art as is Alan Wake II and for the other games
I don't mean to be pretentious, many concepts of this game were already carried by the first one so they had to follow those steps.
For me, personally, at Remedy they are artists in their own way and I have a lot of appreciation for them since the 2000s when I met them.
Im honestly more excited about Control 2 now.
That won’t be out until after Max Payne remake :)
Watching this just fills me with such gratitude that I got to come along for this ride with Sam and the team
It’s my dream to play a control 2 with these graphics and this much love poured in to it
I have literally waited 14 years for the physical copy of this to come out. I have one more month and I could not be more excited. Thank you for putting out a physical for your fans. I bought one for PlayStation and Xbox.
14:56 awww. Ilkka looks so cozy in his blanket.
I feel like we'll be coming back to Sam Lake as we do with creators like David Lynch. And also because they both have a damn fine head of hair.
What a game! More of this! Thanks Remedy and the actors! Thanks to the Old Gods of Asgard!
Игра прям огонь 🔥, как все грамотно составлено. Браво создателям
Ilkas english pronounciation is really good for a scandinavian. Impressive.
I enjoyed the live action scenes
Has anyone noticed that Sam Lake looks almost identical to the first Max Payne?
He was the first max payne model
Ilka really seems so gentle and thoughtful. His and Matt's relationship is really interesting to me. It's really rare to have such a long-time working relationship where you kind of work in each others' pockets like they do, and they clearly love it. I hope they're able to stay at it for a long time to come.
Max Payne looking fresh.
To be honest since Max Payne 1 I did not pay attention to Max Payne or what else Sam Lake did. Seems like I got some catching up to do. He helped shape my teenage years.
Why did they show it like the story was over, arent they still in the dark place? Also theres still much more to do, about alan, alice, dr darling, tor and odin
Did Sam say a moose-tery? Also Saga is such a fantastic character, Melanie did so well!
Sam its fine it took 13 years, Twin Peaks the Return took 25!
Master piece !
Sam, why not a game on Indian mythology?
I just wish you could of driven the police car around town .but great game the graphics omg thank you for giving us next gen .least you listened to the players 🎉❤
Alan Wake has to be in my top 10 games... pretty sure. I've never actually written a list. But its probably on it.
We love Sam
