@daanabbring5409 Well, to be fair, that's mostly because there's no physical version right now. Still it is very consumer friendly. Especially with it being an additional 10 dollars cheaper on PC.

@@PleasantLeech I don't know if you've found the "answer" to no physical copies yet, or even if you already knew, but they most likely can't legally have physical copies. Epic isn't in the business of physical releases and by signing a publishing deal with them they killed their physical market. Even after the exclusivity runs out, they'd have to sign another company to do the physical release so it is very unlikely to ever happen. It's a real shame.

    • @PleasantLeech
      @PleasantLeech 7 месяцев назад +1

@Pepzi987 doesn't really affect me, but that is a shame. Remedy didn't really have much choice in who would publish them but hopefully the critical success of AW2 will give some other publishers more faith in them. They really have gotten unlucky with how Microsoft and 505 treated them as well in my opinion.

@@ezioauditore8946You're just demonstrating how you have no idea about the development of the game. All you can offer is the typical culture war brain rot.
That teaser in Quantum Break was a proof of concept made long after the original sequel to Alan Wake was cancelled.
Remedy felt bad about not being able to find ideas that felt appropriate for the sequel, and they felt bad that they had disappointed their fans.
So they made this proof of concept as a reward to fans and to help maybe generate some interest.
Saga wasn't even named in that video. Alan Wake 2 was not in development. It was a proof of concept Easter egg in another game many years ago.
Years later, Alan Wake to re-entered development when Control gave the studio inspiration about how to proceed. Almost everything about the game was revisited, from storyline to characters. And that means Saga.
Your perspective is so brain rotted by anti-woke culture war poison that you can't even comprehend the topic that you're talking about.
Saga was not "race swapped". She was designed and developed over many years across multiple iterations and eventually her final form as in the finished game was decided upon. Remedy do this for all of their characters.
So grow the fk up. Why are gamers today so freaking thin-skinned and fragile?

@ezioauditore8946 Come on. Saga is a cool character. Eye color, hair color or skin color or gender has nothing to do with it. She turned out great. Unlike the many Mary Sues we had to endure from Marvel/Disney.

Been playing Alan Wake's 2 for some time and I'm so into the story, i have noticed how they did add their culture to the game and I have a huge respect for that. also, I'm so in love with Saga's character and her abilities, the switch between the two worlds was interesting, falling in the darkness with Alan is breathtaking while with Saga in the light, I feel much safer due to its reality. and I love that atmosphere! what made me love the game even more was the exploring, i have a thing for that in games, and sadly most games when u reach a location and miss something you cannot go back, but, with Alan wake you get to do that freely, getting goodies for sure lol. 10/10 worth the money and I'm glad I did not waste it. many thanks to the developers for this masterpiece.

A little detail I really loved about the performance of Saga's actress is that her being from England and doing an American accent, her English accent comes out from time to time depending on what she's saying. It annoyed me at first, cause I thought it was a bit amateurish, but then I got to a part of the story where you learn that Saga is has like 2nd or 3rd generation Swedish (or is it Finnish I can't remember) ancestry and then it made so much more sense as to why her accent wavered from time to time. And that actually made her character incredible to me and so much more authentic as I myself am a 3rd generations mixed race and my accent changes depending on what I'm saying. Saga Anderson is a seriously brilliant character.

I’ve watched it about 10 times already. It’s on a loop in my media room. I still don’t actually understand the story yet. Pls don’t judge me.

Have you played the first one? Allen Wake stories come to life.

I think Alan Wake 2 has taken Resident Evil's place as the #1 horror game franchise. I love Resident Evil, but the latest games have been more action focused and I feel like AW2 brought everything horror fans have been craving for years.

would love top play the game but the crashes make it impossible.

Gotta say I miss the uncanny twin peaks vibe from the first game, but other than that AW2 may just be my new favorite horror game

I'd say this one is actually more like Twin Peaks, specifically the third season.

@@duncancole1742 I mean the dialogue. People talking felt strange and unnatural in the first one. Now that energy is relegated to just a few characters, like wake and rose. Yes the townsfolk may be sort of strange but not in that way that hits you in the gut and makes your brain light up, you know? It has more tonally in common with control, I think

Haven’t beaten the game yet, but being a big fan of Lynch, I see a lot of references to not only Twin Peaks but also Lost Highway. It is kind of crazy how Alan Wake: American Nightmare predates season 3 of twin peaks, yet has a lot of the same ideas and plot points. Then Alan Wake 2 so far expands on it even further.

This is honestly making me wanna pick up this game over RE4 Remake tbh Idek if that’s certainly right to say bc I’m not 100% sure it is worth it since I never did play the first Alan Wake game.

I didn’t play the first one straight away started the new one and man its amazing. If you like horror games you are definitely going to enjoy it. The story and the gameplay and the graphics aaand everything is amazingly done.

Both are masterpieces tbh. But I'd say go for Alan wake 2 first because I find there is no other game quite like it. Hope you enjoy!

Love this game so far! Probably around 40-50% into the story. This is how you introduce new characters! Saga is brilliantly written, without feeling like it was all added for a political stance. The narrative style is so exciting!

The only thing i didnt enjoy AND (big and) its my fault - is switching the worlds... I mean in my 1st gameplay i didnt switched them at all. I know game did told me to but i didnt so i play Saga as much as possible. I find that more action attractive. My bad. Still what a game :) I love aaaaaall remedy games its such a journey!
