While it's tragic that Lance Reddick passed before he could do this role, David Harewood CRUSHED it. I knew who he was instantly because he was Martian Manhunter in Supergirl, and he happened to be my favorite character from that. I can't wait for Door to pull the metaphorical mask off and David here is going to make a strong case for best game villain of 2024.
@@Reddervetter According to the leaks I saw, he is guaranteed appearances. Whether we actually get to interact with him or move his plotline forward, I'm not sure
So she is both Door and mind place GOD. Director of FBC is about to suicide again XD In all fairness, I really hope they just stop with agent Estevez cringe woke drop. This game had the absolutely perfect racial mix/diversity with absolute seamless quality. Until the trans macho gay Mexican feminist whatever the fuk she is supposed to be was introduced, I was having a blast. It was like a slap in the face.
@@teleman07I really don’t know where this is coming from because Estevez is very clearly a woman and the only thing they added is her mentioning her ex-wife. it’s really not that big of a deal.
@@teleman07 don’t you phony types ever get tired of pandering for outrage likes with your regurgitated nonsense? Now you’re pretending women characters actually aren’t women characters. Get off the internet. Go outside. Touch grass. Seriously.
Its interesting that there is a click noise when Alan starts the 2nd talk show. Almost like the clicker is being used. I wonder if this is how Sam is present, somehow summoned temporarily by the Clicker perhaps?
So its obvious Mr. Door is an analogue to Lance Reddicks character from Quantum Break. Hell, that final scene of Door, the actor looks so much like Reddick its uncanny. Dude we were robbed of an amazing reality where Reddick played Door and we got to see him dance and mug it up for the camera. Its so sad, RIP a legend.
Hey I was thinking the same thing. It would make sense that Lance’s character from Quantum Break would have appeared in Alan Wake 2 somehow and would have been pulling strings behind the scenes or in the game’s universe “In Between Door’s”
Ididn't get this the first time but coming back after finisihing the story mr. door doesn't seem to be jusy "playing along" and "entertaining alan wake's games" like he says but is actively guiding alan towards getting out. He helps him see how to write in the dark place and that he needs abook in between (lol) departure and return, he guides alan to use alex casey as a way to progress his story, i think he tries to help alan but as alan tries to espace he harms people so he drops the helpfull act and confronts him head on
Also, due to Hatch’s character being owned by Microsoft, they changed the characters named to Door They did the same thing with Alex Casey, which is supposed to be Max Payne, specifically the Max Payne we know is the one Alan Wrote, but the FBI agent that works with Sasha is also “coincidently” named Max Payne. But yeah, it happens.

You think he will come back in the DLC? I'm hoping

He is definitely Sagas father and i think they’ll expand on that in the night springs dlc

Just realised the foreshadowing: “written by your evil double?”
Seriously not having played Alan wake 1 I really assumed scratch was himself

Sounds more like somebody snapping their fingers, as if somebody's waking him up from his trance
man, Warlin Door is a creepy guy but yet really cool.

I WISH I WERE LEVAR BURTON!
Let’s not forget to give props to David, who still did an amazing job as Door.
We weren’t robbed of that. The Door we have is fantastic.
David still did a fantastic job as Door. Definitely a fitting actor to fill his role.

Alan: Can I go home now?
Mr. Door: 10:58
The fact that it barely looks like computer graphics scares me.
That's because many cutscenes are actual live action scenes.
He is supposed to be Hatch from Quantum Break or something like that?
He was supposed to be played by Hatch’s actor Lance Reddick. However, due to scheduling conflicts and his untimely death, he had to be recast.
Also, due to Hatch’s character being owned by Microsoft, they changed the characters named to Door

As much as I love The Old Gods of Asgard, they don't hold a candle (let alone a torch) to HEALTH during the airport shootout in Max Payne 3.
