  • Back in my day (shakes fist), you could sit anywhere you wanted in the cheap seats for no extra cost. Then came Comfort+, Main Cabin Extra, Economy Plus, and the like. And then, in a further cash grab, came Premium Seats; "Give us your money and you can sit closer to the front (unless you want a middle and nobody wants that)"
    But when a major airline buys a bunch of used planes and they're laid out differently, there are ways to still sit in the Premium Economy-esque real estate on the plane for less or, even, next to nothing. It's really handy when you have a short layover and less people fumbling with carry-ons stand between you and your next flight.

    First -900 flight I’ve seen where the door plug doesn’t fly off

      900's dont have plugs, im pretty sure they have actual emergency exits
