I took a long haul to the Philippines. During the return layover in Korea, the pilot noticed a problem with the mechanics. They worked on getting it fixed, but ended up canceling the flight. We were one of the last flights out of the night. They worked on getting us a hotel stay in Korea, handed us a type-written sheet apologizing by the time we de-planed. The next morning when they got a new plane, we were given free breakfast, terminal food vouchers before boarding, and had a snack cart waiting in the gate area, another letter of apology. and doubled my trip miles before I even landed in Atlanta. I'm sticking with them.
Yeah, I had a similar experience--not as drastic, but some problems on my journey. And, like you, Delta had resolved everything and awarded bonus miles before I even landed. They are a class act all the way. On the rare occasion I need to fly with a different airline, I absolutely dread it.
I just came to this video because I was so impressed by them. Storms on the US east coast this weekend. my plane got delayed and so I got rebooked and then the rebook was overbooked. They gave me $900, free hotel, food vouchers, and skymiles. Lifelong customer coming there way!

@@managed9348 , great for you. I've never had a problem with Continental either, until they merged with United. After that it was all downhill. The final straw was last year November when they gave me the hardest time using my miles for an award trip. Due to mechanical issues on one side and them pushing my connecting aircraft back from the gate early on the other side, Delta caused me to miss my connection. If only Skyteam was a better airline alliance to be with. DL is very good DOMESTICALLY, but flying outside the US is a pretty rough experience with them (and also, being a high-tier ST member with other airlines will NOT let you enter a Sky Club as easily as a Star Alliance Gold member can enter a United Club)... 😦
I find it to be the opposite...the international service is significantly better compared to domestic on DL. Anything under a certain number of trip miles, and there's just about no food offered, other than snacks. That's true for even first class. On the other hand, the international service is on par with that on some european carriers such as KL and BA. In DL economy you get a small amenity kit containing eye shades and ear plugs, and a table cloth. I think the latter adds a touch of class. And the meals are just fine.

Nothing against Delta, but jacking up the miles required to fly is a pretty major problem. That said, onboard experience and on-time performance are a big bonus.
Delta has to give big raises because they cut pay years ago, so they really are just resetting wages to what they should be. I don't think they're the only airline to do this either, but if you ask pilots, it'll be more of "it's about time" instead of "hurray!"
Delta is by far the best US airline. Love them. I don't get the 100,000 to 500,000 SkyMiles claim, though. That is astronomically high in my experience.
Half of this sadly doesn't work in practice as a customer. I have "tweeted" at delta multiple times and never received a response lol. Baggage doesn't get 2500 miles last time I checked it was 500
I pretty much stopped flying Delta cause they ruined the miles program. They're asking WAYYYY too many miles for trips now. I've converted to United and I'm pretty happy, we'll see how long this lasts cause these Airlines keep getting greedier and greedier.
I didn't know the 20 min bag thing! Well, it seems it takes more than 20 mins just to have them bring my power chair up from the belly of the plane. lol
Good I love delta everytime I fly with them I have a good experience. One time I got two free jack Daniel's bottles becuase their card reader didn't work.
Read the title and immediately played this scenario in my head Delta pilot: “Hey Bob you see that United 737 over there?” FO: “Yup” Pilot: “ I don’t want to” FO: “Acknowledged. Fox 3”
Question is how would they compete with United? They’ve added more jobs, newer planes to their fleet, and they have more international routes than any other U.S Carrier..?
US airlines: omg delta is setting the best standards for flying Rest of the world airlines: pathetic Great sponsorship content, but don’t kid yourselves. Deltas offering is not even table stakes compared to emirates, Singapore airlines, Air France and more.
Big Bonus: $61 Million in bonus for 80,000 employees. Woo-hoo! That's an average bonus of $763 per employee. I guess it beats a poke in the eye, but I wouldn't get too worked up about it.
DELTA AIRLINES needs to be put out of business. Recently had a flight from DTW to SAT. The cabin temperature was around 85 degrees. As I was getting off the plane, I approached the crew. I asked them what was wrong with the ventilation system. The lead attendant blamed the pilots. The pilots were silent. Airlines regularly return to the departure airport when passengers get sick. Many passengers were complaining to the FAs. The crew was required to turn around and land. This captain decided to press on putting the passengers and crew at risk. I am reporting this to the FAA. What else was wrong with the plane. On the approach, I could see the outboard flap vibrating severely. Multiple maintenance personnel were inspecting it with flashlights after we parked. I have a return flight from SAT To DTW in 4 days. That will be my last flight aboard any Delta plane.
84% 😂😂. I like Delta as the best of the not so good big 3. American Airlines industry didn't crack top 10 when it came to safety malfunctions etc etc....but they made top 20 😂. I'll do Delta if I had to pick out of big 3
Constant watering-down of the value of your frequent flyer miles. You may feel like you have lots of miles until you see the ever-increasing amount of miles you must use to book a trip. Delta FF miles = fools gold. Prices are forever on the rise, too
Delta butchered our flight to Europe last summer so bad I had to file a complaint with DOT , after DOT contacted them they did work with us on the issue , and we finally made it to Europe , on the way back to US I somehow end up blacklisted on “terrorist” list which caused unreal inconvenience and stress , I think someone in Delta put my name in the computer because I contacted DOT , however we’re flying to Europe again this summer , but not with Delta , I made that sure, and I’ll make sure we never fly Delta again
This is true, they also contract out to Frontier, Alaska, United and Spirit airlines. These people choose to live and work in these areas, but have a chance to move to a station and work for Delta Air Lines. I work with an individual who worked for Unifi (he actually worked for DGS, same company but changed the name.)
This channel doesn’t know much about the airline and it shows. The February bonus is yearly as long as the airline is profitable it’s been happening for a while.
Not to mention delta has been the most profitable airline in the world in 2019 it made $4.7 Billon in profit the second most profitable was only $3 Billion
But those old 738-800 lying between Seattle and Florida. 6 hours, single aisle, 2 back bathrooms, no food, limited beverages. Sometimes no power or individual screens in the back seats
My delta flight was delayed for some hours and the entertainment screen was not working I travel from Detroit to Los Angeles and i would say that delta is not my favorite airline next time I go to Hawaii I am taking a another airline like United or American to me those airlines are the best
while Delta is doing well right now......they just gave their pilots a huge pay increase and operate the oldest fleet among the biggest carriers(many 757's, and 767's)...faced a brutal winter at MSP....and do not really have a great history in highly competitive environments(AA easily pushed them out of DFW some 25 years ago)...DL may more than others be temporarily benefitting from the disaster Southwest has become...and both Breeze and Avelo are looking to expand....particularly in the east..... a Delta focus....
William: Picking and choosing a lot of information there… 1). The two other legacies are about to announce big pilot raises as well. 2). Aircraft orders are ongoing to include hundreds of 321 NEO’s, 737max, 330 900’s etc. 3). Debt is way down compared to AMR 4). 25 y/o info on a base closure in TX really isn’t relevant since mergers, 9/11, recessions, and covid have hit since… 5). Even with tough winters in MSP they continue to have better on-time stats 6). If breeze and Avelo are going to become major competitors they’re going to have to attract labor somehow and I don’t see them being more enticing than a legacy while keeping their business model and cheap fares.
Flight Attendants, as well as other work groups, periodically hold votes on whether or not to unionize. They, themselves, have repeatedly chosen not to unionize.
I'll never fly again on any airline after delta. I book a direct flight with a window seat. I get a hotel room, 30 dollar voucher for food, indirect flight and no window seat a day and a half later. They did give me a 100 dollar credit for a future flight, but they were bsin the whole time. Why would I fly on Delta again? They keep you thinking you're getting on the next flight and then nothing.
Omg! I didn’t know Delta creates RUclips content! Wow! I also didn’t know that Delta fixed every problem suffered for decades by every airline to ever exist! They did it!!! Delta had their heyday, but they’ve fallen behind considerably. They used to have happy employees, but haven’t for years. SkyMiles is the least valuable airline loyalty program out there. They’ve had to kick many of their most valuable customers from their lounges due to overcrowding. They squandered an arguably best position in the US industry to now be meh, at best, and on the level of Spirit at worst.
I've been flying United and Delta a lot lately; United is ALWAYS late or delayed. Delta has been spot on for the past few years. I recently flew Delta to Tokyo from the US-I sat in the Delta One business class and was treated like a king. One of the flight attendants said that she wanted to "win me over for Delta" and gave me a very nice bottle of wine right before I deplaned. Give me free stuff and treat me right...I'm sold LOL
They shut down marketplace which left point reward system useless since you can't book flight or spend it on gift cards without single word spoken about it ? All propaganda, last year they had multiple protests from employees / pilots / crew Their customer service is worste ever
Ask the thousands of retired pilots how they are doing when Delta used the bankruptcy to cancel the retirement plan leaving old pilots without their earned retirement money
That was the longest Delta airlines commercial ever

My 2012 flight on Delta Atlanta to LAX was one of the most cramped and uncomfortable I have ever experienced.
Delta has to give big raises because they cut pay years ago, so they really are just resetting wages to what they should be. I don't think they're the only airline to do this either, but if you ask pilots, it'll be more of "it's about time" instead of "hurray!"
Pilots are too picky. Though we do have to put up alot up front to get there, there does need to be return on investment at some point.
Out of all the airlines delta pays there employs the least.
@@psycoape5753 bruh.... this is false... stop lying lol
cut pay? where are you finding this information...? interesting
@@psycoape5753 it's actually the opposite; they pay the most
Delta is by far the best US airline. Love them. I don't get the 100,000 to 500,000 SkyMiles claim, though. That is astronomically high in my experience.
i too think the 500k claim was a bit skewed. i've never seen it that much when i do an internet search
@6:36 "One of the aircraft wings burst into flames!" Yeah, that's exactly what it was.
I've flown them all and I like Delta and American the best.
Did Delta write this???
How many stations does delta have their own agents doing customer service and ground handling?
Half of this sadly doesn't work in practice as a customer. I have "tweeted" at delta multiple times and never received a response lol. Baggage doesn't get 2500 miles last time I checked it was 500
i see it's still 2500 miles. go to their website and submit your request or you can call reservations
I pretty much stopped flying Delta cause they ruined the miles program. They're asking WAYYYY too many miles for trips now. I've converted to United and I'm pretty happy, we'll see how long this lasts cause these Airlines keep getting greedier and greedier.
I LOVE Delta!
Me to. I HATE yucknited!!
Delta Vacations for International travel and JetBlue vacations for domestic/ carribean vacations. Cant go wrong!
Not bad Delta not bad, just wish the American airports were better.
Airports are not run by the airlines, but by the city. When you buy a ticket you are paying the city for the service.
Living in SLC I always try to fly delta since its a big delta hub, love the airline
Delta’s Long Beach to Utah has the worst rude flight attendants!
That route is actually operated by SkyWest, not Delta. The crew & plane are from SkyWest.
You’re not using the word “several right”. Several means a handful, and you use it when referring to people in the thousands.
Giving actual value to their customers and treating employees well. WHAT A NOVEL IDEA IN 2023
Read the title and immediately played this scenario in my head
Delta pilot: “Hey Bob you see that United 737 over there?”
FO: “Yup”
Pilot: “ I don’t want to”
FO: “Acknowledged. Fox 3”
737?
737?
737?
Question is how would they compete with United? They’ve added more jobs, newer planes to their fleet, and they have more international routes than any other U.S Carrier..?
Pay employees well and take care of customers? What a bold business strategy? I'm shocked (not shocked) this is paying off.
US airlines: omg delta is setting the best standards for flying
Rest of the world airlines: pathetic
Great sponsorship content, but don’t kid yourselves. Deltas offering is not even table stakes compared to emirates, Singapore airlines, Air France and more.
The money is great but the benefits are turrble
You do know other airlines to a LOT of the same things......right ?
I lost my Game Boy Advance flying them, though this was before their overhaul/wavy gravy days.
I ❤ Delta.
Was that Jeff Bezos at 0:30? LoL 😂
I can tell you right now there is no conceivable way an economy ticket would cost 500K miles.
I have flown Deltaone and jetblue mint, I'll take jetblue anyday.
does jetblue fly to europe or asia or the south pacific like delta does? not a gotchya question i just want to know
I was on hold for 90 minutes twice in the last month after Delta changed my flights. Customer service still sucks
This is incredibly US-centric. Delta destroying Every other airline? Dude, most airlines (and airliners) are not US ones!
Comical story...too bad this is not true
Delta contracts out alot their stations to UNIFI ground handling with low pay and hardly any benefits.
Delta airline you'll love the way we fly.
84.1% on time is good? *Cries in German*
My delta flight was delayed for some hours and the entertainment screen was not working I travel from Detroit to Los Angeles and i would say that delta is not my favorite airline next time I go to Hawaii I am taking a another airline like United or American to me those airlines are the best
Compared to United or especially AA sure. Compared to ANA? Singapore? Eva? No contest
They contract out alot of their stations to the lowest bidder. They don't pay the contract employees close to what McDonald's pays.
1:50 - what do you mean as low as 100,000 miles and now 500,000 miles?
I just paid 500,000 for an economy ticket from ATL to LAS leaving Thursday and returning Sunday.
while Delta is doing well right now......they just gave their pilots a huge pay increase and operate the oldest fleet among the biggest carriers(many 757's, and 767's)...faced a brutal winter at MSP....and do not really have a great history in highly competitive environments(AA easily pushed them out of DFW some 25 years ago)...DL may more than others be temporarily benefitting from the disaster Southwest has become...and both Breeze and Avelo are looking to expand....particularly in the east..... a Delta focus....
I really do like Delta the best.
Delta also refuses to allow their FAs to unionize lol
Flight Attendants, as well as other work groups, periodically hold votes on whether or not to unionize. They, themselves, have repeatedly chosen not to unionize.
DELTA , KLM , AIR FRANCE IS REQUESTED TO KINDLY START FLYING TO AMRITSAR , INDIA . QATAR , SCOOT , NEO AIRLINES ARE FULL YEAR AROUND .
Respect 👍
Good to see they are finally catching up to other airlines around the world 😂
No wonder they don't want JetBlue and Spirit Merge! Also the health plans and work rules take away from their profit sharing scheme!!
Let me guess, you booked with a 3rd party... All airlines do that when you book 3rd party. Don't blame an airline for this
I’m flying to Chicago this week from lax. I’d rather connect with delta and pay more than fly direct American or United which are awful
Unless you want to fly from Chicago to LA, direct.
I have been on like 100 delta flights and I have got delayed once for 20 minutes
Some of these facts are just so untrue. It does not cost 500,000 miles to book a round tip ticket. I just bought one for 20,000
Great but they can't challenge in Asia
They shut down marketplace which left point reward system useless since you can't book flight or spend it on gift cards without single word spoken about it ?
All propaganda, last year they had multiple protests from employees / pilots / crew
Their customer service is worste ever
you keep showing the B-747 as if it was the flagship of their fleet......these queens of the sky were retired years ago!
I miss the delta 747-400 though
How much farecompare to other?
Ask the thousands of retired pilots how they are doing when Delta used the bankruptcy to cancel the retirement plan leaving old pilots without their earned retirement money
