I was aboard the USS Ticonderoga CVA-14, off the coast of North Vietnam in 1969. I loved to stand up on Vultures Row and watch these things take off and land after their mission. We had a ringside seat to the drama of fast-paced flight deck operations in a combat zone.
As an Air Force maintenance man in the 70’s, the F4 was the first fighter I was trained for. Old tech, but still an awesome workhorse that did everything.

Always loved the F4 - it became an icon in 'Nam and despite its few combat negatives was still a superb aircraft. The anhedral stabilizer is instantly recognizable, along with dihedral wing tips..
This is a superb model - excellent and exciting flight - a joy to watch. Very nice slow roll and low passes etc - perfect landing (both!).
Only thing missing - two smoke trails! :)
The missing smoke exhaust was going to be my comment also. I agree, wonderful aircraft.
That was my primary "gripe" with this, and almost _every_ F4 model. The telltale black smoke when the pilot would "step on the gas". I wish more modelers would add a smoke tank for that effect!
Also would be great to see one catapulted and arrested.

Black exhaust smoke is quite tricky to imitate. Someone should figure out how to make it.

Simply amazing! The RC looks and flies like a real F4. Instead of CGI, movies and TV shows should use RCs like these since they look more realistic.

Awesome F4 Phanthom, excellent flying and super scale! Hard to tell from the full size in the flight sequences, that is until the gear goes up or down, if he could slow it down a bit, it would be the complete package!
Oh boy was that a treat. You picked a perfect day to fly, clouds in the back ground, sun glistening off the wings and fuselage, roar of those turbines brought back some awesome memories. Now if you can burn it a little richer to make the jet fuel smoke...man that would be the icing on the cake

Nice to see the Turkish Air Force F-4E with the markings and serial number of Konya Air Base (3rd Main Jet Base) where I have served 18 months in 1982-83 during the times of F-100 Super Sabre.

Die Phantom ist ein toller Flieger. Du hast Sie einfach perfekt vorgeflogen. Tolle Landung!! Ich habe schon als kleiner Junge bei uns in der Nähe am Zaun gestanden, wenn die Jets mit viel Getöse gelandet sind. Leider habe ich auch einen Absturz live miterleben müssen. Beide Piloten haben aber unverletzt überlebt. (RAF Wildenrath)
Vielen Dank für deinen tollen Kommentar. Früher gab es öfters mal einen Absturz bei der Luftwaffe. Scheint, dass diese Zeiten glücklicherweise vorbei sind.
Always enjoy seeing the F-4E. Was privileged to work on the fire control system (radar) during my service with the USAF 1968-1972. Loved the smoke from the twin exhaust and the sound of the real ones.

Great flight, great landings, the first one was the most perfect RC landing I've seen!
Hyper-realistic performance except landing gear, it's incredible, that scale of model didn't influenced into plane behaviour as it happens in many other RC planes.

I actually worked on the F4s --- Cs, Ds & Es in the U.S. Air Force as a Crew Chief [which is like a working "manager" to keep these 'birds' flying]. I was also stationed at the *Thunderbirds* "home," Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV.
Fantastic!! The only thing that doesn't look scale are the main gear tires, they look too thin, other than that, everything else looks awesome! Very well done.
As an American I always thought the nicest F-4E schemes were the various German and Japanese schemes and Greek. And a German does a Turkish which looks similar to the U.S. SEA scheme. Interesting how everybody sees things differently. Really loved the way he flew.
love to see this f4 racing a fast car doing 150+ mph on a dessert road.
