This is the best RC airplane video I've watched. The way Buran ejected from the plane was done remarkably well. Very nostalgic.

Its a pitty Russia has fallen to terror, corruption and evilness while it could be such a great nation filled with great people doing great things. The Antonov 'Dream' is a great example. probably the reason why it had to be destroyed :(

Впечатления всё же что пропорции нарушены хвоста ну и машину типа тяжолую на крыло заваливать. Можно было ещё и фюзеляж хоть тросиком протянуть что-бы он не играл при пасадке.

Absolutely amazing, never expected the shuttle to detatch and land independently of the Antonov, great control
That shuttle landing has to be one of the smoothest RC landings I've ever seen. No ballooning, yet almost no vertical speed on touchdown.
I'm surprised how they can control them so smoothly
On the other hand, the Antonov's flying is not that great. Non-coordinated turn, like he was flying a trainer, and the landing was just a slam to the tarmac.
Hence the term Decoupling Singular
Bad landing for the antonov..speed was high on landing when he flared the plane was almost taking off again and he reduced speed too late the plane actually stalled

Посадка бурана была такая же как и у настоящего, аж глаз радуется. Так же мягко коснулся бетонки, пробежал по полосе и затормозил
Нет настоящая посадка бурана была в два захода там при посадке буран заметил что ветер с другой стороны и компьютер изменил направление посадки. Искусственный интеллект в 1989 году
I have seen some incredible rc aircraft before, but this has got to rank as one of the best ever built, no exaggeration! The An-225 alone is amazing, but paired with the Buran, I am truly stunned! What a triumph of engineering skills, not to mention the flying skills of its owner, which are fantastic! The only possible improvement I can imagine would be to install a functional drogue 'chute on the Buran.

Very smooth flying and I was impressed to see how the Buran shuttle pilot greased it onto the runway landing incredibly smoothly. The Mriya pilot showed very nice control and performed his routine with considerable skill.

Мне даже кажется, именно Буран как стал главным героем после отделения. Когда начал смотреть впервые этот ролик, я не думал даже что он самостоятельно полетит, думал что так и останется на Антонове до конец.
@@RusNovgorod и в таком исходе вышло бы не плохо. Честно я сам хотел посмотреть на посадку вместе с Бураном. Но отдельное приземление Бурана завораживает, даже слезы чуть не текли
@@mozasaurus мелодию подобрали в самый, не побоюсь сказать в кайф на момент отделения Бурана!) И я даже в тот момент вспомнил как с помпой у нас показывали полёт Бурана по ТВ в те года.
Интересно какие там двиготеля на каком топливе они работают,и это что турбовинтовые или что оно там такое?)

@@ГригорийВирски Я там не был, за них сказать не могу, но у нас с правами точно плохо, одни обязанности. В армии помню деды спрашивали, как хочешь жить по уставу или по человечески (т.е по понятиям) и сразу давалось понять , что правильный ответ по человечески. Вот так всей страной и живем.

I first saw the Antonov 225 at the Paris Air Show when it was revealed to the Aviation world. This incredible and magnificent aircraft stole the show.

Along with a pair of IL-76s, I worked with the 124 here on contract and had the chance to go through it. Amazing engineering.
Did not really expect to see anything in the way of full or R/C on this one and now with the horrible situation in the Ukraine the only flying example is gone.
I never seen this RC fliying wt Columbia. Then disengage on air. It really superb, fantastic, incredible & enjoyable. Well done both pilots 👍✌. Columbia landing really smooth. Thank you too to the cameraman. Wonderful scenes !!

About 2 minutes into the flight I was thinking how cool it would be if they could make the shuttle seperate and land on it's own. Then it happened. AWESOME. glad I watched it.

I would have been disappointed if the space shuttle had just stayed on the carrier plane and then to see it eject and do a perfect landing. I give a thumbs up to the builder and flyer. Also I love the wheel assembly underneath the big carrier jet. It must have an engine(s) with a lot of power to get that up and flying. Favorite for the day.

Goes without saying that the Germans are a fastidious nation.
@museack I get where you're coming from, but being fastidious over model building to this standard had little to do with history, it was more about the way they embrace technology.
That is Switzerland, not Germany. Language is similar in some swiss areas, but a different country.
museack They didn’t drop the ball, it was a harder ball to kick.
When you have the world on your back then you will fail.
On the second occasion they didn’t have the resources to buy because of their new independent sovereignty, no international money.
Whereas the Allies were funded by the banks through printed money and a whole generation of war debt.
Germany didn’t run up a war debt, they were hit by reparations post war.

Actually the man who built it believed at the time that he was building the aircraft for a super intelligent breed of hamsters. The chemical imbalance in his brain led him to believe these hamsters would destroy planet earth if he did not help to advance their clandestine Hamster Space Program.
Ultimately the imbalance was diagnosed and successfully treated.
And the aircrafts remain for the amusement of all!
