Hands down the best review out there, for people that are actually using the GoPro how it was planned to be used. For me, I use it for extreme sports like Motocross and Cliffdiving. Especially for Motorcross the ND Filters are going to make the footage way more appealing. That the GoPro now automatically adjusts everything for the best looks with the ND Filters is super because the changing weather conditions with clouds and sun on the Tracks.
There’s a lot of chat about the cameras not brining a “wow” factor. I think people forget what these cameras are for especially in light of the price point consideration. In reality, all of the cameras are hitting a “plateau” in a general sense of what is possible with action cameras. And people are so polarised, armchair tech complainers. The GoPro is so epic, the updates are so cool all things considered. But not one of the new cameras is going to blow anyone out the water- at least not for a while. Lord, people love complaining about their free content 😂👏🏼 epic job Chris!

I watched a few other videos before yours and was dead set on not needing to update (I film with a gopro professionally doing FPV drone work). After watching yours though, I'm torn now. Well done on actually showing why it's a good upgrade
Very good review on how these features work. One thing that seems be overlooked on every review is the ability to do multicam shoots with 2 or more GoPros placed at different angles. This is the only action camera that has built-in timecode that can be jamsync'd to either a QRCode or LTC. This makes it so much easier in post to align all the videos. In fact, I use a 3rd party software from FutureVideo, called Multi-View HD Pro 2, which allows me to playback in complete sync all angles at once to review or make a presentation, without the need to do any rendering or waiting for proxies to be built. Worthwhile to look at!
Great review. It is exactly what you said at the start, a review coming from someone that is actually using gopros a lot with lots of great practical tips. Getting the best results is not just about higher specs but also a lot about knowing how to use it best and the 13 seems to make this easier to achieve for many. thanks! will buy your luts.
Yes, I plan to purchase the standard version of the new GoPro Hero 13. While I bought the Max Mode (One) when it was released, I didn't use it extensively due to its 2.7K resolution. @@JrFarren_ did you even watch the video 🤣🤣🤣
@@ChrisRogers Have waited for your video to watch the review, since 13 was released last night 😁 Really like your work man!!
@@JrFarren_ appreciate it dude! I may or may not have unreleased action cameras from other companies, so potentially expect and seriously in depth comparison in next few weeks 😏
I have the go pro 8 and I haven’t seen much updated on the processor, image sensor, and still have heating issues on go pro 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13. 😢😢
I’m testing the DJI action 5 pro for a couple of months. I’m hoping that the DJI action 5 pro won’t let me down like my go pro 8. Would like to thank my buddy for letting me use his DJI action 5 pro. 😊
You've just about convinced me ;)
Any feedback on photos?
The Macro lens makes me wanna upgrade from 7 to this.

Wow❤❤
Is it still recording in REC709? or REC2020?
There is a new HLG mode - that standard includes 10bit REC2020 color gamut and hybridlog gamma.
Мassive upgrades for the new Gopro camera and as always perfect and genuinely roaring, thank you :)
No a sponsored review, but the camera was announced today and you've already had it for a couple of weeks. So... It is a sponsored review.
@@Garthgoyle sponsored means the brand paid the creator…
I was definitely not paid for making this 😂
