Thanks for making the perfect video I can now show to my disciples to help them get into this heavenly sport.
Ah jesus thank you for skating for our sins. 🙏 (that video was beautiful ;D)
Legend.
thank you, I look forward to seeing you again at your second coming
bro jesus what board do you have?
Lord, I'll skate with you till my wheels fall off. Please bless our battery life amen.
Another important tip is to remember that you don't always have to be with your board or on your board. What I mean is that if you have to dodge an obstacle last second and it would be too dangerous to slam on the brakes or accelerate out of the way; just get off your board. Even if you kick it to the side and it gets damaged, it's just an object end of the day. The important thing is that you don't get injured. I see a lot of people that I group ride with just stick with their board. You can stop the board and sprint in a direction to avoid direct impact, you can jump off your board and pick it up if it's at a low enough speed, practice different ways to dismount so that you have more than just 1. I'm regular stance and I'm more used to my right foot coming off the board first, but I'm also comfortable with my my left foot coming off the board first too.
thats a great point - used to do the same with my dirt/mountain bike.
MAJOR TIP (from experience): Know the places where you can go to recharge your board. You’ll definitely want to know these places when making longer trips or when you’re in a rush to get somewhere. It’ll save you the stress about running out of juice in the middle of a trip on a place you don’t know. I recommend fast food places, libraries, some parks, some gas stations, stores and public buildings.
*or have a spare battery*
GOOD TIP
Or have a small portable power station!
I recharge my board in my car, so its no problem at all. ;)
Great video, love how you started #1 with a helmet and mentioned riding in the rain. I hope people hear what you're saying. Nearly two weeks ago I bit it hard while riding in the rain trying to beat the lightning. I fell backwards at 20mph+ and bounced my head off the pavement and skidded to a stop. I luckily wore my helmet that day and so I am only dealing with road rash on my back, hip, elbows, hands, wrists and knees as well as bruised and swollen elbow, and a concussion. For the last two weeks I wake up feeling like I'm severely hung over and it lasts all day. But my brains are still in my head and not on that pavement! People of RUclips: Wear your helmet, ya?
Sorry to hear about the fall, glad you’re okay!
Ok you convinced me...
I ordered a motocross helmet to protect my teeth as well. Get well
@@stevegass2146 lol
Theres a reason you never hear arguments against helmets lol
I just bought the cheapest board (meepo v3). It’s coming in a week or two. Wish me luck
Good luck, have fun, stay stoked!
How’s the board?
Fabrizio Frata xd it’s so fun. until your going 25mph down a road and hit a rock and fly off your board and break your helmet and get a concussion. so yeah that’s what i’m dealing with right now :)
Scuffed Rayven holy shit, hope you’re alright. I just ordered a wowgo 3 a few days ago, you’re a few days in you got any tips?
Shit dude
i think gloves are important because i always tend to land hand first when i crash. For night riding i would suggest reflective gear i would suggest something like a PT belt they use in the military becuase it saves lives.
I agree
Ive ridden my Inboard M1 over 800 Miles! I used to skate as a kid so the fundamentals were mastered long ago . When riding a standard street deck I focused on what was right in front of me. Electric Skateboarding is different in the sense that one needs to focus 8 -10 feet in front of themselves. Because in less than a second you will be at the point you focused upon. That should be in the basic tips.
I have only had one major crash and it was a result of a combination of factors. 1. The remote for the Inboard M1 has a switch that one holds down on the front of the remote to allow the control of movement. "its like a deadmans switch" you pull your finger off that switch and no power is being sent to the hub motors. 2. I was doing a long brake from about 22 MPH and leaning back in an extreme angle rearwards. I shifted pressure on the deadmans switch ever so slightly and that was enough to stop all braking and the board jerked forwards with full momentum. This launched me forward at a high rate of speed. I landed with the side of my body hitting the ground. My shoulder absorbed the brunt of the injury when I smacked. Trip the ER revealed that I slightly tore my Acromyoclavicular Joint. Known as the AC joint. This was extremely painful and made more so when they sent me home and told me to take advil for the pain. (Thanks alot ! ) This was due to the American obsession with Opiod abuse. Pain in that area of the shoulder for a minimum of six months. I was back riding my E-Skate a week an a half later though.
I know it can be scary to lean forward when you're going almost 20 mph, but speed wobbles are scarier so lean forward. I ride a short e-board (25 inches) with loose trucks and still don't get speed wobbles at 20 mph. Part of it is that it also just takes time and muscle development. Eventually you'll subconsciously neutralize the small movements in your ride that can become speed wobbles. leaning forward just helps more.
Thanks for the tip! I got my first E-board today and wasnt expecting the speed wobbles. Now I know they're common and how to handle them 👌
Brilliant!! Thank~You!!
It's all about your stance and how you keep your balance. I've been skating since I was a kid but using an e-skate for the first time was definitely a bit tricky. It's so easy to get thrown off of that thing while braking or have the board fly out from underneath you if your stance is wrong and you hit the accelerator wheel too quickly. But man is it awesome not having to push.
Thanks for the great vid of tips! I will surely use them. I'm 65 and have my first board coming this week :) I am so stoked I can hardly sleep waiting for it to get here. I figure it'll be a great way to get me out more! Your material and presentation was awesome, thanks again . Geo
Incline your body forward when accelerating and backward when stopping
DRONIX-AR this is an important tip! I think that getting used to the remote goes hand in hand with your tip.
Yess been skating my whole life and this is a good tip
Had my board a week, and as a complete novice this would have been useful. Managed to figure most out, but have fallen on my arse once. Some extensions to the video could cover checking the trucks, where to position the feet, and how to deal with uneven surfaces. Those little lego style bumps where cycle paths meet the road, pot holes, cracks, etc wouldn't bother me running or cycling, but bane of my life now.
As someone who just got a WowGo 3, never have touched a board before, and been using it as a way to get around my Oklahoma town...all these are exactly things to know.
My issue has been hella speed wobbles. Wiped out hard today behind a local Walmart. Pretty sure it has to do with my piss poor balance on the board.
Bought elbow/knee/wrist pads right after.
I'll add one more: Don't give a fuck how people see you. Especially if you're a beginner; hell yeah I picked up my board to walk across a busy road. Fuck death.
You should tighten your trucks
Board stance, weight distribution and Stiffer bushing on your trucks and re adjustment should sort that right out... may seem stiff at slower speeds but it won’t try to kill you when you open it up!
@@tomwilshaw7512 I've gone 400+Km since that post and you are right on the money.
I've been working on my stance and see my balance/weight distribution is quite off sometimes. Learning to dig my front foot more, trying not to lean back when I should lean forward.
Haven't touched the bushing just yet; not really got the funds to start doing that. Adapt or fall on my ass is what I say lol.
wildfireXzero yea to be honest bushings are more of a ‘final tweek’... best thing you can do is just keep at it, if you learn to carve up a board that’s not particularly best ‘set up’ for you, then when you finally do get yourself set up exactly on a board you can unleash beast mode!
Stay safe and enjoy bro!
wildfireXzero ok la o ma!
Thanks for this! Just bought a meepo v3 after starting college and this definitely was a great watch before I get my board.
Ronnie thank you so much for this vid. I haven't been on a regular board for YEARS and just got a backfire g2 so plan on definitely practicing all that you've mentioned. I'm an e scooter rider so many of your tips i could relate to already. very comprehensive- well done. JB
Number 10 is definately a life tip. Put that on a Tee shirt.
Very good video Ronnie, I actually thought about creating one because it’s super important. I think you’ve hit every point I had in my head including the triple backup plans :) 👍👍👍
Thank you, Aviram. Can't wait to see your next crazy costume :)
wonderful video. ive skated for years and am waiting on my meepo v3 and a wowgo knight for my brother and this still taught me loads. can't wait to be on my board
Great advise Ronnie, I've been skateboarding for over a year now and I've gotten too cocky that I don't wear my gear anymore but after this video I am starting to wear it again tomorrow. Thanks Bro! NYC skateboarder here. Peace.
yep speed wobbles suck. thats how I wiped out really badly on my longboard for the first time. broke my helmet and got a mild concussion then a bunch of road rash :(
WOW!!! Such great advice! I love that I was learning and laughing all at the same time! About to get my first electric skateboard! I'm so glad my sister suggest this video to me!!!!!💛✌😁
Just bought my first eboard! Went with the x1pro and I'm super excited to get it in the mail! Been watching a bunch of your vids and they've been super helpful!
Awesome Video, thank you. I just bought my e-Longboard some weeks ago and watched your video multiple times already and it really helps me to try the right things, but still it takes a lot of practise to get comfortable with everything.
Awesome to hear, man! Stay stoked!
Dude these are FANTASTIC tips and the video is so so so well made - the pace and flow, masterful man.
Thank you, Cody!
awesome vid, just got a board myself, can't wait to try it out, thanks for the advice
ordered my meepo v3 yesterday and i may go insane waiting for it because i’m so excited😂your videos have been helpful and fun to watch! thank you!
How did it go?
Thanks. I'm an adrenaline-junkie, new to e-boarding and just stupid enough to crack my skull. I need all the help I can get. btw the Meepo V3 is sick AF!
Lillian I'm copping it, are there any disadvantages with it?
@@spyne.98 Two possible: (1) If you commute with it or shred on rough pavement a lot, the polyurethane wheels will wear out fast. Buy the 100mm wheel kit. I haven’t ordered one yet, but my wheels are looking ratchet AF. (2) A moron or two may laugh at you because the board has a built-in carrying handle; a hole. Screw those idiots. 10 years from now, they'll still be living in their mom's basements.
How long is the battery life for it?
Thank you for posting this video. Great advice that I will use daily.
Great tips for any rider. Thanks for taking the time to talk about them.
yes i was inspired by your videos. i just ordered my wowgo 2s Pro from china. cant wait to try it.
Another excellent video friend, you make mention of so many good points! Ride safe all!
Very useful video dude. I know a few riders who can benefit from watching it :) Awesome content as always.
Great vid bro, don't have an e-board but I longboard and skate. Loving ur vids at the mo. Stay Stoked
Great tips and reminders. Keep it up and God bless:)
Thanks so much for this video makes me feel more confident, I just got an exway flex.
Great tips and video! Love number 1 and “DON’T RIDE IN THE RAIN!” I’ll be sure to send this video on to some friends who are new to eBoarding.
Thanx 4 tha great information!
Thanks for all the help, just got my first board, a backfire g2 black
Just ordered a carbon gtr, 4 days ago had my first trip today got in 30miles. Amazing weather. and the best feeling ive had since my old longboard broke 4 years ago. Looking forward too many great experiences. Great video earned a sub and a like from me bud.
Jus got my board and thank you for the great tips I'm 45 and haven't had a skateboard since I was in my 20's looking forward to this adventure and enjoying your videos while planting my feet
Very good tutorial, thanks!
Seriously been loving your videos. You kill it, man. Solid ass content
Appreciate that, miles!
Getting ready to order my first esk8 board and I am EXCITED 😅
Always, if you are passing a car, make sure you do it on the driver side. This will make the driver see you because is more common to look on the left mirror of the car than to look on the right one
this is KEY!
Hey there. New subscriber here. I have been watching your videos for the last two weeks, and it has motivated me to buy my first board. The Ikon Edge. I wanted to sat thank you for your easy to watch and super entertaining educational videos. Thanks!!!!
thanks for the tips dude! Gonna have fun riding my new board, still waiting for it to arrive ;D
Awesome! I’m stoked for you!
Great Video! Would be cool to have a video on what to know about tightening and loosening trucks. Impact on ride at low and high speeds. Perhaps a list things to know about adjusting trucks. Honestly, I struggle with that.
Hey did you get some advice about trucks tightening. I'm new and got me a E board
I am getting a board today morning. and got this video. got a lot of ideas. thank you so much. ❤️
Just ordered my exway x1 can't wait!
Your tips were extremely helpful. Thank you.
Nice video Ronnie like always
Picked up a used Boosted Mini X today! Excited to receive it on Friday, I’ll be riding all weekend!!!! 😁
Hey this was super helpful as I am starting to use mine to get to school and these tips have helped a lot
Damn Ronnie, I literally just ordered a meepo v3 and I see this video in my sub feed. Sweet video and awesome timing!
How is the board I'm thinking of buying the same one
Vernesha Britt get a skatebolt tornado pro, same price range and imo better than meepo v3 and you won’t be waiting 3 months for it to ship from China, takes that minimum from every friend I’ve known that has one
@@loganmatthewolson99 imma check that out then
about to buy an eboard online and this is the best piece of information I've seen all week, thank you
haha, nice dance moves on the board! just fell off my mellow today. No visible damage, but i thing my knee got hurt #stillstaying stoked!
awesome video -- thinking of upgrading my old vision gator to one of these
i just got an eletronic skate and im about to go out on it when i saw this, this vid has helped me alot thank you
This video is SO FCKN awesome! Thanks for the tips and good vibes!!💋👊
Killer tips dude! And those shades!
thank you brto, great vid! be safe! god bless
Rule 10 rocks! Gotta have fun and share the knowledge.
it's something too many people break!
come on! another great vid from Ronnie!
Toe to heal. Like snowboarding. Let my son watch this to get educated since I’m a terrible teacher. Thank you sir! Interested in your board. Been riding a boosted for a while and thinking about trying something new.
Great video, thanks!
Im thinking to buy my first electric off road skateboard, but I'm unable to choose between these 3, perhaps you can make my decision a bit easier :)
1. Backfire Ranger X2
2. WoWGo AT2
3. Raldey MT-V3
(Im aware about ranger X3, but it's a bit over budget)
these are great tips as i consider getting one
Good instructions Sir.
Helpful tips kabayan! Keep it up 👍
Good advice, thanks mate.
Always a great video!
Thank you it's also a very helpful I just got my board❤❤⚡⚡
I ended up building my own board partially thanks to your videos and I’m now thinking about building a 4wd Hub board.
Great video for a new rider like me!!! Thanks heaps 🤩
#7 is very important. 2 weeks after I got my board, I got on really early in the morning, and it had rained the night before. The road was really slippery and I hydroplaned, fell off, and broke my arm. It wasn’t a bad break, it healed in just a month, but it could’ve been worse
Hahaha yes ive seen your videos and definitely inspired me to get my first E-Skateboard. The WOWGO 2s Pro. 🙏 Thank you
Spend the first few hours in an empty big parking lot learning to turn, getting used to acceleration. First push off and then accelerate, it's better for your battery.
Thanks.. useful!
Very helpful video i loved it bro, keep it up!!🫶
Great video
After a year of riding an eboard these were great tips
He never said don’t ride in the snow. Just remember that.
yeah. currently working on a exway flex with offroad wheels that have ice spikes for snow:)))
@@lauriturunen7168 dumb question but are the wheels working? Like have they ever failed you lol
@@inkylumine8967 i didnt put spikes in them after all, cloudwheels are amazing tho.
Thanks KId! I am 51 yrs ..I used to ride as a kid ALOT!!! I just got a teemo longboard and want to use it to get back in shape...Thanks for the tips...I will let you know how it goes!!
This guy know everything keep up the good work
Bought my board. Will arive today. Thanks for the tips. Just subscribed.
Have fun, ride safe, stay stoked!
damn i was about to go ride underwater just now, good thing i watched this first ! thx ronnie bro
Jokes aside, great video man keep it up 👊
Great video thanks man
I’m starting to relearn skating on a e-board and what surprised me was how I was more nervous to relearn skating than learning the first time so I just need some tips on how to push yourself to do it
Just got mine two days ago and went 20mph (I’ve went 26 the first day I got it so I was really comfortable on the board already), and while braking I forgot to lean back, and got launched off. I rolled a lot and pretty far, thankfully I wore a helmet, and the cuts went past my clothes and hurts whenever I do anything. Always wear a helmet.
Hi Ronnie* , great video and very much appreciated!! I orderd my first e~board on Monday, and my frist skateboard in over 35 years : ) haha.. feeling super stoked!! I have been thinking how some top tips would be super useful, this video is great!! Very muvh appreciated your links for the helmet and pads, look forward to seeing these. Any tips for lights!? I have ordered the Exway Flex, and loved your videos on this, so inspiring! !Especially how you show how much fun this booard : ) Big Thanks!! Chris 😊🍀🌟
Great video. I love electric skateboard vids!
glad you enjoyed it!
I didn't even think about getting e-board until I started trying out basic longboard. I didn't fall at all and practiced couple times and day and thought I was ready for e-board at that point. I got it, fell couple times and was able to ride after that. It's a fun experience and completely changed my life on how I commute around the city.
That's awesome to hear man, stay stoked!
Not a beginner but still nice to see these videos and remember what is important :)
Just picked up my Evolve Carbon GT on AT wheels 4 days ago and it hasn’t stopped pis**ng down with rain since! Downside to e boarding in the UK I suppose
Its been 1 year. Is it still raining?
How’s the board and how much was it?
great video😃
Just got my Meepo V3 this week. Awesome video!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for making this video. I just ordered my first electric longboard the Meepo NLS. I am new to skating too. 37 years old. I'm excited about it. How do I know what size helmet to order?
Thanks Ronnie...... YOU ROCK!!!
So tempted to get one to ride it to the gym and back everyday
Amen on #10, I know people regardless of their skill levels and needs who feel they have to buy the best brands & most expensive things. Love your vids Ronnie!
i’ve been riding longboards for 3 years, my buddy just bought one and that convinced me to buy one, now i’m waiting til thursday!
Thank you!
