A couple of years ago I saw one of these helos over Norco.Cal, it was neat! I hope they're never needed here, or anywhere, but it was great to see it! AWESOME! I also remember as a youth hearing and then seeing the first helicopters in Southern California, that was a thrill! How they have improved!
Funny how easy it is to piece a video together and make it look fun and Rambo style.. real life it’s long, boring and takes forever and everyone is bitching 🤣
I think it is based on rotations. MEUs conduct new cycles every 6 or 9 months I think. A new infantry battalion will go through an intense 6 months of pre-deployment training to he certified as Special Operations Capable (SOC). And they get deployed for 6 months. When they come back, the battalion gets released and about 2 or 3 or few more months the MEU is resting before going through a new training cycle.

2000-2001 Alpha company 1/8, 2001-2002 Force Recon company , 2nd Mar Div
Oops, 2001-2004
And the senior NCO's are yelling at you 😂
That Guy you were in force recon?
I can tell u, in real life, those Ospreys would have been shot down before they could land.
Do 0111’s go on meu pacific?
The hardest part of vertical assault is clearing the LZ. There was no countering fire from the LZ so this vital step was not needed.
Bringing ospreys into hot LZs not really a good idea.
Usually there’s a cobra and a a Huey suppressing followed by the assault force from the choppers which will have to haul as to assert fire superiority
just 6 more months!
fra N how's life as a marine?
@@santiagogarcia1194 Too busy for the internets now I guess...
They are firing blanks, correct?
aux99139Their rifles have blank firing adapters on them, so yes.
Yes but you always train like you fight.
do all infantry battalions deploy with a MEU? or just specific ones?
bossalanatorIt depends. You might get to go to a combat zone if you're lucky, but with the way things are now, likely an MEU.
