I remember when we were told to roll sleeves again. That was a great day. Also, the four hour long session teaching the junior Marines that never rolled sleeves how to do it was a good time.
That was my drill instructor! Sgt.Bryant
His sleeves are the best in the Marine Corps! He is a badass dude.
He was mine too I thought this was a joke
Manuel Amador that's awesome
Manuel Amador that is cool
I roll way better sleeves then that lol u don’t need to flip
@@icebourgsimpson9868 you never served snowflake
The most motivational and educational video ever to grace the eyes of man.
First off, thank you for your service. Great tutorial for Marines and civilians alike. Always wanted to get that clean look when rolling up sleeves on a button-down shirt.
Why would you roll your sleeves on a regular shirt?
@@Dandan-vf9kr Because it's hot and/or he's not wearing a jacket over the button-down shirt? Have you ever worn a button-down shirt?
Step one: Lay out blouse
Step two: Realize you can't do this and give up
Step three: Ask your roommate to do it
@@SmartAwsomeChannel Step 4: Find out he can't do it, get shitfaced instead
Step five: find another buddy who can show both of you how to do it
It sucks that this was actually a lost art. This was a source of pride when I was in. Glad to see it came back.
My boyfriend is a Marine and boy I tell you those rolled sleeves really do something for you...
Lord, i just did, rolled my sleeve like a boss, took me a while but I did!
Thank you Sgt.
A boot tutorial. This is fucking beautiful.
I have drill next week better learn this quick...
- boot
Yeah, where are you now?
He's still a "BOOT"
Crazy how it’s been nine years, you could be anywhere in the marines by now, and me a current boot being stuck at MAT for months. I doubt many ppl even know what that is
@@danielbolanospadilla812 I completed my time in service, then became a police officer 😅 wow time flies. Good luck out there and stay safe🫡
@@swat007jp *Ahem* What MOS were you in, where'd you deploy, how long were you in, was it a good experience?
FOLD

SCREAM THE FUCKING DIDDY WHILE YOU'RE DOING IT
Damn it wood you came here too
Never new there was a diddy-pvt Austin III
Lol yessir
I remember the first year of ROTC, our First Sergeant had showed us how to do it and I tried it at home and several times I would get the sleeve so tight that I had to have someone help me take it off lol
I'm currently a Cadet Sgt in MCJROTC and I never knew to roll my sleeves that way. I do not know if it was because we were short on time and had to learn the camouflage uniform in 5 minutes or if I just didn't comprehend all of it. I always did a decent job, but it just wasn't what I wanted. Now I can look the best in my platoon and teach them. Thanks for the lesson! Semper Fi.
God bless the USMC. Thank you!
In a Marine corps ROTC program and I'm still practicing it. I've almost got it squared away. This way is much more simple. SEMPER FI
Where are you now?
Have you mastered rolling your sleeves yet?
@@IIlIIlIIlII hes some officer now if he joined the marine corps
I was taught to do it the old way back when the marines still had the old school woodland cammies. This seems to be far more efficient though.
haha I knew this was coming, pay attention boots, and btw why didn't they show the part with adjusting the sleeve's width, not all marines have the same arm size
Because most of us just shoved our arms through and got a buddy to help us get it off.
Im in the MCJROTC program at my high school, I've been doing my sleeves in a different way from what my upper class men showed me my first year. This I'll practice.
Arizona Brony Do the way you know man, These videos are to help you get into rhythm of perfecting your sleeves.
I have mcjrotc and for our cammies they showed us a different way which seems more complicated
Luis Padron are you in park view HS?
First I wanted to ask how your doing now since you’ve probably graduated since then but yeah I agree. I’m a freshman in high school and I’m in MCJROTC and we did it completely opposite and it has to have a pocket inside the fold so if it’s too small or big we can just tuck it.
Amazing! Ididn'really know how to fold up a sleeve until I watched this!
I had the best sleeves in my unit thank you so mutch
I have to admit, I do like the NBC roll that the Army uses to the one we use. I was required to roll my sleeves that way while I was stationed with SOCOM and not only does it not make the roll stand out (especially notable with woodlands) but also makes sense for when you need to unroll them quickly. Always hopes the Marines would adopt that version but I suppose not.
Believe it or not--Back in 1982/83, Marines in Okinawa were required to do the NBC roll like the Army. I believe it was CG III MEF that directed the change.
I was with 9th Engineers at Camp Hansen at the time and woodlands were just becoming available.
It was weird at first, but actually it makes more sense and in the end we just got used to it.
But it was nice to get back to CONUS and roll 'em tight.
The woodland cammies we had in the Reserve Seabees, they told us NOT to iron them. It would make you show up like a spotlight at night with an infrared devive.
they didnt know what they were talking about. back when we soaked cammies, before the digitals, in starch, some guys burnt the starch making it shine; this would reflect the ir light back into the nvgs. kind of.
You ain't rolled sleeves until you did it in on heavily starched utilities back in the day, now that was a job...those were some badass uniforms...Semper Fi kids
I go to NOMMA && we have this uniform, but in green. This helped me a lot because I was having a hard time rolling my sleeves.
Hello, Boots. :3
Scott Parker vs. the World hi
I’m just gonna leave my sleeves down, seems easier
You can't fucking do that jackass
@@joshuapeters567 yeah he can, he just does it lol
You could do that, but you'd be punished. You'd ikely get NJPd (non-judicial punishment) for at least disobeying a direct order. Enjoy restriction (basically house arrest), demotion, forfeiture of pay. As a member of the armed forces you are not free to do as you like.
Besides rolled sleeves look awesome.
@@wikdipr2944 only if you have the arms for it 😏
Amazing video using this as a rotc gadget
*cadet
And across the nation, a collective sigh of relief was heard from boots all across the world
See… Seeee… I told you it was three folds!! Worked for me 46 years ago!!
its sad that we need videos to do this now, I remmember back in 09 my Heavy Hat had sit in a school circle and showed us how to do it.
United State's Marine's God Bless Thank You all For Your Service..🇺🇸🌎🌍🌏🇺🇸🇬🇧🌹
Everything's a badass when the real heroes do it!
I needed this video lol I'm going to boot camp on Sep. 22nd! Well it's not "set in stone" but yeah that's when I to(:
MrHardstyleFreak14 -you don’t roll up sleeves in boot camp
!
well 7 yesrs later, still went? whats your rank
It’s been nine years, you still In?
Thanks 👍 for your service
I can't believe there was a time where my beloved Corps never rolled there sleeves!
Thanks man, you helped out A TON
And don't forget to hydrate
I owe this dude
I hate rolled sleeves. I don't have to wear them but as a Vietnam era Marine they just don't have the sharp look of starched and pressed utilities. When the Corps gave up the buttoned cuff they lowered their standards. Oh well, Semper Fi and happy 241st birthday.
wilhard45
As the one person every one ask to do their sleeves for, I’ve learned to just send this video to them bc I’m sitting here doing 7 different blouses and I’m glad it wasn’t 10 bc I sent this video to the last 3
Semper Fidelis, Sergeant Bryant, USMC. I have been Privileged to have worn rolled sleeves on My Woodland and 🏜️ Camouflage Pattern M81 BDU,both in the Marine Corps and Army. 🌞 Up 💪 Up, Semper Fidelis and This We'll Defend!!🇺🇸🦅🌎⚓
this video helped me sooooooooooo much
Outstanding! Now let's blouse some trousers.
very nice video clip
Nice initiative by the Corps.
I like the air force way of rolling up sleeves because it maintains the integrity of the camouflage pattern of the shirt. Also, I would wear a brown t-shirt with desert cammies. Details. Details. Details. Thanks for your service and sacrifice. No disrespect intended.
Eric Mares -this is the corps way
If they had sewn the outside material to the inside you would have the outside pattern on the outside when the sleeves are worn up. It would look neater.
Bout God damn time.
96-06 FFF is a new way everything else looks damn good!
I miss the BDU where had to press the uniform and spit shine boots to show pride in the uniform...to distinguish yourself from others..now only spit shine Jump Boots for the Military Ball.
Pro tip: Never check into a new unit with fucked sleeves. If your NCOs can double fist your sleeves, expect the next hour to be rerolling them.
Sincerely, a fresh boot who hadn't rolled his sleeves since boot camp.
Similar way to how my dad taught me..I like it!
I remember being in the Corps and startching the hell out of them letting them settle and pressing them out. Sharpest sleeves. Semper Fi. Stay Salty and always Stay Disciplined Devils.
This helped me alot with my MCJROTC camis uniform. But I do want to be a marine
I'm in marine ROTC this Helps THANKS !!!! SEMPER FI 💯
Fold flip flush. Got it Boss!
Thanks I never did it right before.
I ended up being the guy in my unit who had to do this for all the younger guys.
I like how sleeves up is only in non-combat. As if the milimeter thin sleeve is gonna stop a round
Think it's more protection against the elements and keeps your arms from getting sunburned out in the field.
Somehow, I don't think their reason for rolling up sleeves is to stop rounds. Lmfao
My sleeves were always on point, I was a locked on third phase double rat recruit yut
This is a good video, but would it have killed you to have used a more stable table?
Fold, Flip, Flush... Now say aye aye Staff Sergeant.
I can hear them sayin this in Quantico already.
I'm a mcjrotc cadet and it's inposbe we spent 40min learning how to roll up our sleeves and l still can't it also stupid if you ask me
When useing the head don't forget to fold wipe and flush .
To DANTHNAN .....that makes sense. Thank you for your reply
Master Chief you're right bro! I'm just tired of doing it man. Have to start lifting again ha ha!!
Look cool, Stay cool.
I really HATE doing this
Saved me
Ha ha ha. Sun's Out, Guns Out.
I have a question im in jrotc in 9th grade we wear uniforms on Wednesday and i wanted to know can i wear this out of school or would it be a bad idea
xXAxiomaticTV Xx
Don't
I am on of the second generations Marines to do that. Also a "Panton fury" Marine

... The Fold of our Sleeves
Nasty rolls
does a triangle have to appear on the cuffs, or no? i heard that's a new mc o p 1020.36745775g
Geez... I rolled my sleeves for 28 years, and it didn't take nearly as many steps. Put blouse on hangar. Roll sleeves. Wear. And what's with ironing the blouse? When I retired in 2007, ironing your cammies was a no no. As always, the Corps evolves. Pretty soon they'll find a way to spit-shine boots, rolling back years of progress on our combat uniforms.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!
Can someone tell me what the idea behind folding part of the sleeve 1 third underneath? I'm in the Irish Army and have never been taught to do it that way and was wondering if it makes a difference?
If you don't fold it in it won't be as tight, thus will look like it wasn't a Marine who did it.
Amen
i just found out i have been saying semper fidelis wrong
And now, no rolled sleeves... again
ramO 1995 says a soldier!
Went to boot when sleeves were still up, after mos school they were gone
Im 16 cant wait to join the 03 field any tips
Talk to your recruiter...get good on your IST and ASVAB...and stay MOTO
+Brodie miller you missed the war
I'm in JROTC school and the teachers taught us a different way. I don't know which to do?
Just make sure the folded part is underneath your arm.
Ok thank you
+Jeff Browder
I honestly have NO idea as to how and where the fuck that came from.
why are you telling me
Jeff Browder
You know, the ability to read is actually a very useful utility in life. I suggest you use it.
is this applicable to other clothing as well?
YES SIR
i thought ironing the digitals was unauthorized. i know many do but when they designed them they picked a material that was wrinkle free.
You ever pull your cammies from the bottom of your c-bag after going.... anywhere? Sure, they were clean and fresh when you packed them, but now they're just a wrinkled mess, and you've got formation in 10 mins. An iron never hurts.
i sure have. we did that survey to pick the new cammies in 99 or 2000 that was one of the things everyone wanted. so when they came out there was a maradmin saying ironing was unauthorized and something to the affect of it would ruin the material or cause it to breakdown faster. if i remember correctly. and it worked IF you didnt put starch on them. also, i never seen an iron on the boat so most of us just spread them out under our little matress. but those were the old woodlands that had lots of starch...
ironing is unauthorized too.
just no starch light iron ok starch increases IR reflection. but we did it any way we just did not mix garrison and field gear. inspection gear was always starched to look its best.
just no starch
I'm still gonna be in woodlands thx to fuckin Bridgeport.
lucky for you theres not as much snow there right now.
***** Regardless, that place has a shittiness factor which rivals that of the stumps.
didnt they remove rolled sleeves months ago??
I'm sure just like this Sgt, most Marines today weren't taught how to press their cammies!!
nah the marine corps still forces people to iron cammies and teach it, i had to do it every week for about a year and a half then came down to a mechanic shop and nobody here does it. it all just depends i guess
Welcome 👢's!
Thats proper folds
Does the army do this to?
I just cut my sleeves off so my TATTOO'S can show....lol
And dont forget to hydrate
Nice 👍
Thank u sir
jeffer Jefferson? Are you the jeffer version of me?

Is it possible to do this roll style with the Army Scorpion OCP's?
