What a beautiful story, and such an incredible way to honor the sacrifice of so many... Sempre Fi, my fellow Devil Dogs!!! (RIP LCPL Foster, A/1/8, who died during a training accident in Okinawa in 1999.)
Misfit Actual, it makes me proud to have young men and women that still want to serve our Great Country. GOD bless you, America, and oooorah. an Old US Marine
+Misfit Actual, it was my pleasure, and now I see that it was more than worth it, because in my old and beat up age, there are brave young Americans that are willing to hold up and protect our American way of life.
+Misfit Actual I had a traumatic car accident on 2005, a Realtor was on his phone, I was stopped in traffic, he cruhsed my car at over 60mph, so memory was lost from the prior years. I just remember that I was a forward observer(radioman) for an artillery battery. I can't recall the MOS number. I'm going to have to Google it.
Civvie here, I wanted to do something like a 30 mile ruck with 60 pounds as my commemoration for veterans day/armistice/rememberance day (Nov. 11) Got hit with COVID right before it and have been sick as a dog, and despite it getting colder and colder and me not being at my 100% (I've been getting some nutty bronchodilation with the cold weather and very light exercise) I still want to train and do that 30 miler for the amazing veterans I have as friends and the many more I've had the honor of meeting I love them dearly and hope that I can make them proud
Whether Vietnam, Grenada, 🏜️ Shield and 🏜️ Storm, Iraq , Afghanistan or Syria, Force Reconnaissance and Battalion Reconnaissance Marines and MARSOC Raiders STILL keep It 💯. Semper Fi, Marines!!🇺🇸🦅🗽💪❤️

+Tre Reyes Pal,I'm already a hungarian soldier,I serve in the 88th Light Mixed Battalion as a paratrooper,I love my country and I respect my fellow soldiers more than anything,I just say that it's a shame that we have such good soldiers who have cheap ass and old gear
Another Officer that thinks it's ALL ABOUT HIM. That's why people always ask me, are you sure you are a Captain?? Yep, but I'm HUMBLE about it because I was a Corporal first and know what it means to be enlisted. Semper Fi my brothers in arms...
havingfun1968 I have a question. I've heard it's possible to transfer from enlisted to officer once you reach a specific rank or something, do you still have to get a degree if you do that?
Bill Clinton Yes, you still need a degree unless it's war time like they did back in Vietnam. You also have to be tested because if you ate smart enough, and you qualify for Intel, there are a lot of doors that can open for you. But the degree is still necessary. Plus, today you can get one on line, so it's a lot easier.. Good luck brother and Semper Fi.
