The Marines were built to be a superior fighting force, and we are. I was at boot camp in Parris Island for the 197th birthday in 1972.It wasn't a party, and the Drill Instructors made sure we understood the importance of that day.
I know of Paris Island...& Camp lejeune. My father was a drill instructor there and went on to become a Chief Warrant Officer II in the Vietnam war. I have many stories written over the years of his missions, that I hold a very dear. He was a true Marine Hero 💪 ✈️. I miss him SO!! Semper Fi 🇺🇸✌️🫶 daddy.
