always keep a can of pumpkin puree, it helps kitties and dogs poop
Just cant see myself taking that kind of chance in my motorhome....Would rather spend a nite at a crummy rest area before chancing going through mud like that ....Seems like a scenario that would turn out bad more often than not....Glad you got through it....Travel safe, be well....
4 wheel drive rv would be nice in situations like that and some wenches in the front and back of the rv. i'm like you, i would rather be safe, then sorry.
Me too! I am so clean, that it would annoy me to have all that mud on my home. Also, perhaps some of the mud getting into some vital mechanical components. But that is just me.
@@draco4540 I agree - 4x4 is recommended - but I would think winches are more practical than a couple of wenches!😂👍

Oh Lord, I hate it when my fur babies don't feel good just as much as I hated it when my human babies were sick. Glad he is feeling better.

Wow! That was some trip looked very fun and exciting. Hoping Brady is feeling better, and he is in my Prayers.
Dave is always such a good role model on how to be a supportive husband. I always catch him controlling his own emotion outwardly and reaching out to rub/pat a back and give a reassuring word. Best wishes to all family members! Really cool to see the caravan and the area. I live in AZ so this isn't too far for me to check out. My trailer won't make it in there though lol. The hot sauce lineup looks amazing! Have yall seen hot shots on youtube? I got some of those sauces, da bomb is legit insane! First time I've seen RV mudding, that was awesome!
You can ask the vet about feeding canned pumpkin with meals, even with dry food you can just mix in like a table spoon of pumpkin and it can help with both diarrhea and constipation and it's perfectly safe for Bailey to eat too. Just make sure that the can says the only ingredient is pumpkin, no sugar or spices or anything. If they ever have any upset tummies canned pumpkin can help with that as well. Another option for upset tummies is meat baby food jars, like single ingredient being turkey or chicken, with no spices and especially no garlic or onion.
The benefit of these is that it adds some water to their dry food, as well as helping their tummies and poops haha. But, none of my cats really like the taste of either one. My dog loves pumpkin though!

Yes! This was one of the easiest ways to help my kitties because they like the taste. I mixed a little pumpkin with their wet food and it really helped things get moving along 🥰
We learned about the benefits of Canned Pumpkin for our dogs. A good tablespoon or so will push through swollen anal glans that some dogs have a problem with, as opposed to squeezing the gland fluid out.

Poor Brady he hurt his back area I'm glad the vet gave him some pain medicine so he could have some kind of relief... You can always tell when your pets are not feeling good... I'm glad he's better now!

Broke my heart that Brady wasn't well. I have two fur babies of my own and when they are sick, my entire world is turned upside down. I can certainly relate. As a fellow cat owner, I am praying for you and Brady. We lost our orange boy Zhan 4 months ago to an undiagnosed heart condition. He was only 1 1/2 years old. I hope Brady gets back to himself very soon.

Prayers for your boy. When my boys had those symptoms, they had kidney stones. I started giving only filtered water and prescription cat food. Poor Brady. I do hope he is all better now.

We felt your pain when it comes to having a sick animal while traveling. Our 3 pups are our babies and if one became sick we wouldn't hesitate to drop everything and rush them to emergency. So glad Brady is doing better. You're great people and we love watching your adventures ❤️

I was stuck for 2 1/2 days in Burro Creek at Clay Hills. I dug myself out after the wind dried the clay. I made friends with the local burro that hung out near me. He marked his territory by my camper in the mornings. I have lots of pictures of him. It gave me more time to collect more rocks, which is the reason I went there.

Thank you Eurka, yes, our kitties are definitely family and it was hard to see Brady not feeling well! Fortunately, Brady is feeling much better now.
Our family rented a huge Winnebago RV (1970s). It be came stuck in sand while checking out a campground in Canada. Because I was the skinniest (at the time), and mature enough @12yo, I had to crawl under it to hook up the tow line. No of the men could fit. Yeah that was not scary at all!
So emotional when fur babies are sick. Love you guys. Keep as strong and beautiful as you are. Sending love, light love and many blessings. Great group adventure.

There is no way in hell I’d put my camper through that . I live in Vermont and know the damage deep mud can do to a vehicle and the cost of all that damage. I hope your kitty feels better .
I have an EKKO too and do a lot of off-roading. Keep in mind, these rigs are configured to handle most off-road conditions with little risk of damage. Everyone has there own limits though…I get it. I don’t off-road by myself. It’s always best to travel in groups so if anyone gets stuck or breaks down, you can help one another. It’s also a must to have recovery gear such as winches, tow lines, shovels, etc. It’s also wise to have a Garmin GPS and In-Reach device (or similar) so you don’t get lost and have the ability to contact emergency services.
No Ekkos were damaged in the filming of this video. We had an amazing time. The worst of it was taking a pressure washer to the rig for about 45 minutes to remove the mud. I was the 5th rig through the mud wash and didn’t make it through the first time. I full time in my rig so was doing my best not to hurt anything.

Try keeping Olive oil or Coconut oil on hand to help with their pesty fur balls. They Love the oils, and it can help keep things moving. Best wishes with the babies 💜
Yes , little traveling companions come in the forms of a pouch or kitty becomes part of the family over time and sometimes need to go to urgent care just like us. In fact, after 16 years a little gray cat became my child. Peace.
It is so hard when our fur babies are sick. I just had to bring our 14.8-year-old cocker spaniel to the vet last week. I thought we were going to have to put him down. Our vet, who is amazing, put him on some meds, I swear that he is like a puppy again. My fingers are crossed, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

OMG! I was holding my breath when everyone was driving thru the mud. I hope your baby is doing better. Our fur babies are our family. We had two chi dogs that lived long lives and it was sooo hard when it was their time to go. I would love to have another dog but I just keep thinking about having to let him go. Give your babies a kiss for me.

Cats are so stoic, if you see something wrong, it's so often very wrong. Male cats can get urinary problems too with blockages and have to have a vet or experienced person do some kind of maneuver to remove it. Also kidney stones. We caught a very very sweet feral older kitten, and he became our granddaughters little love and he was having problems with going both 1 and 2, vomiting now and then.. $4000 later (our son paid for it) after ultrasounds, antibiotics IV fluids etc finally he's ok. Hopefully no more episodes like that.
Hope Brady is ok. There so much a part of r family. We have 4: miss kitty, boots, sassy, & baxter.Baxter. Hope y'll have power washers with you. My heart was pounding fast too.

I have seen people train cats on a leash to let them get more movement. Just a thought to let them come out for more movement each day. This could help. Motion is lotion.
