I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope that you both and the kitties are OK, that's what counts. Desert Storm can be fixed/replaced, you cannot. Sending Love and Hugs to you both Tonya and Dave, and the kitties 🤗 ❤️
That is a Ford chassis. There should be an impact rollover switch under the floor mat on the passenger side, it'll have a little red button on it. Press it till it holds down. That is given you didn't damage the fuse box on the driver side which I don't believe you have from the pictures. You can also Google rollover switch Ford and it will be readily available. Most likely it is a common fault in order Ford's for the button to pop up with slight jars. It could also be located on the side wall towards the door of the footwell if you have your owner's manual they may cover it s location Sorry for your misfortune. Hope this helps also, the sound may have something to do with your automatic leveling system if your vehicle is factory equipped that parts. Just a guess
So sorry guys! We have AAA roadside for RVs, now you have me wondering about towing in the event of a collision. Not for nothing you have brought awareness to your views. Hopefully Dessert Snow is repaired quickly and y’all can get back on the road. ❤
I am so sorry, guys!!!!!! I do hope the kitties are okay. That must have traumatized them so much. Boy, when it rains, it pours. But now everything is over and you will pick up the pieces and get on like you always do. Have faith. Everything will work out.
I AM IN TEARS😢😢😢😢 RIGHT NOW. OH MY LORD !!! You two have been thru so much lately especially after that break in. I didn't finish watching this but I will retry now. You two must have the best blood pressure readings. I'd be cursing and throwing rocks. Come rain, blizzard, gynormous pothole, collision, you always make the best of it and turn it into a cozy little adventure. I used to curse a lot driving to work, the potholes, the traffic, but I'm learning to stay calm from watching TUIW. 😉 Good luck with desert snow! Brady and Bailey look so cute.
I love your positivity; your patience is amazing; a perfect example of “accepting the things you cannot change “. Absolutely loving this channel! Praying your baby gets repaired sooner than expected 🙏🏾
Thank you, yes, it really was a surprising amount of damage, we were pretty shocked by it. We were going very slowly - you would be surprised. Desert Snow is a 10,000 pound camper van and we slid downhill into an immovable pole. That pole did not budge, whoever put it in hats off to them because they made it rock solid and our front just crushed into it.
I am glad you guys and the kitties are not hurt. Accidents happen. You guys are irreplaceable. Desert Storm can be fixed. Sending good thoughts and vibes!!! Wishing you better days ahead.
Sorry about your accident and insurance fail which made you camp on the side of the road. That's very tiring mentally too. Glad you made it out and are safe. :)
What I adore about this couple is that they are fully comfortable with each other. Nothing pretencious and they seem to genuinely enjoy spending time with themselves. What a breath of fresh air.
Maybe it's just me but I find it ridiculous that there was nobody to help you on the weekend. Do accidents only happen during business hours?? I'm glad you and the kitties are ok. I felt so bad for you guys. But you guys will be up and about in Desert Snow in no time.
i am sorry you had the accident. Gravel roads are so unstable. I hope your ankle is a lot better. Every time something bad happens to me I always meet someone who has a far worse problem. Dave is such a terrific husband, you are a wonderful couple. I am sure as long as the cats are with you, they will be fine. Everything will work out. 😊❤️🙏
So sorry. I felt your pain. As beautiful as it looks like it was there, I can't imagine going all weekend without being able to get a tow. Happy you guys did try to not dwell on something that was out of your control. Then to realize you hurt your ankle, I would have been bawling all weekend. Glad the whole family is safe and sound.
Sorry to see & hear this Dave & Tonya. Accidents do happen & many of them do happen because of potholes & loose gravel. Thank God nobody got hurt. The RV is repairable/replaceable. Your insurance will cover this. Get an accident report from the local authorities. Get Tonya's ankle checked out by a Dr. It is an accident, they will come out & tow the RV.
Exactly, how fast were going in that turn/entrance for you to slide on the gravel? I mean, I'm glad you're ok. But you had to be going faster than 25 mph.
Sorry about Desert Snow, but I am so happy you guys and the kitties are alright. I pray that everything goes more smoothly, you guys are back on the road real soon, and Let'sTurn It Up World. 👍🏽 😁
I was thinking the same thing. I was driving to fast in my van an pot holes will send you. Even 15 miles per hour can be too fast on these drive ways. Im glad their are ok.
Wow. Yes i agree they were probably not driving as slow as they should have BUT WOW! What a bunch of know it all couch experts you are! I’ll bet these two are SUPER glad to have you all to tell them how to do things after the fact!, What a bunch of jerks Just sayin stuff happens. Perhaps some simple sympathy might be in order? 😂😮
Someone may have mentioned this, but many/all cars have a fuel cutoff switch that is triggered when they are in an accident. Somewhere there should be a button to reset the fuel pump. Might check the owners manual to confirm this. Hope they get you rolling again soon.
I am so sorry to hear about Desert Snow’s unfortunate collision. I know he will soon be back in top top shape. The love between you two is palpable and I always enjoy coming along on your adventures. Bless the two of you for staying positive even when life throws you a curve ball (or pothole). Stay well and positive.
Impact may have cut off the fuel pump. That may be why it doesn't start Looks mostly sheet metal but repairable. Good luck. Should've called Matt's Offroad Recivery in Hurricane "The 2015 Ford Transit does come with an inertia based fuel cut off switch. This switch will automatically activate in the event of an accident so that the fuel pump does not keep sending fuel into the lines since that can lead to a fire hazard. If You need to reset this system the switch can be found in the passenger side footwell next to the kick panel on the right side. This is one of the most common reasons why Your vehicle's fuel pressure will be low. If You have reset this system and Your engine is still not getting any fuel then the next most likely thing is that there is an actual problem with the fuel pump.
Oh no I am literally in tears right now. I hope everything works out well and remember I’m always here for you guys tanya I hope your ankle is OK but overall I’m glad you guys wasn’t seriously hurt hope Desert snow will be repaired and I’m also glad the kitties was not hurt love and hugs and prayers❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🐈🐈⬛🐾🐾
Talked to Progressive Insurance about this yesterday. Similar to what you found, they said their roadside assistance (and most other RA plans) exclude accidents. They told me we'd have to work with the claims adjuster to get towed out. What if you're in a dangerous situation, I asked? Go ahead and arrange a tow on your own, and then file for reimbursement through the claims process. That seems a bit sketchy, but that's their process. Surprised that Coach-Net pulled you out. Was that tow at your expense or theirs?
Accidents are always scary and when it happens in something that is essentially your home, it's twice as upsetting. I'm glad you and Dave are alright and that Desert Snow is being taken care of.
Ah, the wild pole jumped out in front of you! All kidding aside, I am very pleased that you both are physically ok. I know mentally, you are probably not doing so well to put it lightly. Just know that this accident has prevented you two from something much more devastating. I know this because you are good people, and this would not have happened for "bad luck" reasons. Just know you guys have all of us followers sending you good vides, best wishes and prayers. We got ya!
They had to be moving pretty fast for it to send the vehicle to the other side of the road and into the gate. If you can’t get slowed down on gravel because your rig is heavy, then you’re going too fast.
It was an accident plain and simple. What amazing strength, and grace you both show. If it means anything to you. My granddad used to say. If you never meet the devil head-on , You must be walking with him.
So, did we really hear that Progressive told you - too bad, wait for normal business hours then call back??!!?? How does that help current policy holders or how does it bring in NEW customers? EDIT - just saw an ad on TV for Progressive boasting about: 24/7 financial protection. REALLY?
RV can be replaced. Are you and your husband and cats ok. We can’t be replaced. But machinery can. I had a double blow out in a large MBZ SUV. NEVER REPAIRED RIGHT had to sell. Be well.
Thank God you guys are ok. AND the kitties. Desert Storm will be up and running in a few weeks, and I can't wait. Im so glad you have your husband Dave Tonya. I love how he made you laugh right when he needed to. Like I said you two are such a beautiful couple and I love watching your videos. God Bless you both and see you soon whether your in Desert Snow or not I'll be watching ❤ 🙏

I’m glad the 4 of you are ok. Hopefully, the RV can be fixed or replaced. More adventures to come. I’ve been stuck before due to an accident. It’s not fun!
Hi I enjoy your videos and thank you for sharing your adventures. It’s not my intention to be rude or disrespectful. When your title says “destroyed” and I find out you’ve had an accident, I feel like your dramatizing for views. Of course the situation is upsetting and difficult, but destroyed? I look forward to seeing you back on the road.
I hit a pothole and damaged two tires were damaged; I submitted the damaged to the state and they reimbursed me. Did you guys submitted damage as well to cover costs? SORRY for the hassle you guys endored.😢😢😢
A lot of vehicles these days have an automatic fuel pump shutoff when it detects a crash. Yours may have tripped. Since the damage looks superficial, you may be able to reset the pump to get the motor running. Yes, I know this is 5-days late. Just saying if it ever happens again.
This must be the week the gods have chosen to demonstrate that making a van your home carries some significant downside risks. Chrome of VanCity Vanlife just found out that his transmission is totally shot and will need to be replaced. Right now he is stuck in British Columbia with no obvious place to go to get his van fixed that doesn't involve driving significant distances with a transmission that can totally fail at any moment. I'm currently having some vehicle problems too but that doesn't involve my home. It is predictable that accidents and mechanical failure are constant risks for any vehicle, and particularly for ones frequently driven off road.
Accidents are tough! Definitely the pot hole didn’t help, but it appears you were either going faster and/or merely not fully paying attention to the road. ( and ya, given how the vehicle maneuvered into the gate, the airbags didn’t need to deploy) Accidents happen along with pure human error. Maybe a little less video while driving and eyes on the road.
I’m so thankful it wasn’t worse and everyone is ok. Stay safe and thank you for passing on your lessons learned about what you’ve gone through (although I’m so sorry they happened!).
Hi just found your channel!! I'm loving it! I hope you guys all the best! I hope you are thinking of switching insurance companies once this debacle is complete! Have a great weekend!
I’m not in agreement about the karma part but I do agree about the clickbait part. Not a fan of that. Thankful this was a minor incident. It could have been much worse. From the angle you showed it appeared the aforementioned pothole was not in the road but on the side. 🫣🥲 I too am curious what speed you were traveling. 🤔 I’m sorry this has happened regardless if this is of your fault or not. I’m sure you are kicking yourself enough as is. 😢
@@RobinsNestEggs karma is real my friend, these people are lying all the time to the people they make money from. Of course I don't wish bad upon them and yes, that was very minor even the ankle strain again big drama. Crying and stuff. Nothing dramatic happened again here and yes the pothole was on the side of the road, I won't be surprised if they made something on purpose just to get views. They are still with the old energy thinking bad drama sells. Pathetic
Pothole was on the right side. Seems you were going a bit to fast for the road in; which caused you to way over steer to the left..it wasn't the pothole. Hitting the pothole would have caused your RV to go toward the right, not bounce with such force to the left.
dont be mad at me, thats a problem for the campgrounds , there responsibility! to have save roads at all times!, i would get a police report to show the pothles,? . if this was a pothloe on a city, county, or state highway good luck with a claim , but this is a CAMPGROUND, YOU PAY TO BE SAFE, ! i would call the police for a report and map of the road with your pictires and theres, for the insurance company to fix and have the campground pay for the damages ! i glad your ok, but this is a time to fix and repair the rv. THIS A MUST , IM NOT KIDDING , IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU DID , SHUT UP, TO THE CAMPGROUND, OFFICER, ?YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT? THIS SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME 1 YR. BACK IN YELLOWSTONE, I DAMAGED MY TRAILER WHEN THE ROAD SLID OUT FROM UNDER ME, THE CAMPGROUND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ROADS IN THE CAMPGROUND? I HAD TO SUE , AND WON, THE JUDGE SIDED WITH US, C/G IS LIABLE. DONT LOSE THE PAPERWORK FOR ENTRANCE FEE OR THE SPACE YOU WERE IN.
So sorry to hear. This is RV life of the unexpected. We are out west doing the Route 66 and the Grand Canyon train ride. Had to make a detour to,Fredericksburg TX to see my sister. On the way back close to Amarillo TX, 36 miles from our next park, we had a tire blow. It was 106 out side and had to wait 4 hrs for someone to come change to our spare. Then it’s impossible to find big 5th wheel tires. Got all that done, went on with our trip and heading back home to OH. Got close to our last stop near Sullivan, MO and had another tire blow. Now finishing up with that by Thursday and going home. We have 2 fur babies with us. Guess this is part of the adventures and the journey. Hope everything turns out for you guys. Love your videos. Stay safe out there.😊
I'm so sorry that you all were in an accident and are stuck there. I'm glad that no one was seriously hurt. Hopefully, the soreness you're feeling will be better very soon. Love your videos!!❤❤
I know how you feel I was in an accident this winter in Yuma and my promaster was in the garage for a month and a week. Im from Montreal Canada so a long way from home… I stayed in a Nissan rogue rental all that time it was not fun… but it got me thinking of being prepared for losing the van and how to get prepared for such a eventuality. Good luck 😉
This is why I canceled my Progressive policy. Completely unhelpful! What do I pay you people for?! I use AAA; never had an issue with them responding to a flat, dead battery, etc. They have insurance specifically for RVers. Better luck to you both. ❤😢

Amazing how we pay so much for insurance and then when we need it we find out that we're not covered the way we think
When needing insurance for this type of vehicle and usage, that's something you should always be very specific about.
I don’t think it’s insurance. I think it’s warranty from the manufacture
@@Icum4u I think you come for er’one. Stupidity?be nice.

I hit a pothole and damaged two tires were damaged; I submitted the damaged to the state and they reimbursed me. Did you guys submitted damage as well to cover costs? SORRY for the hassle you guys endored.😢😢😢
Sorry that happened to you guys, glad everyone including the cats are ok ...that' s what's important . Hope all goes well !!
A lot of vehicles these days have an automatic fuel pump shutoff when it detects a crash. Yours may have tripped. Since the damage looks superficial, you may be able to reset the pump to get the motor running. Yes, I know this is 5-days late. Just saying if it ever happens again.
So very sorry for this accident!
Thank you!
So sorry to see you've been in an accident. You all seem to be well, safe and you have each other. Love your journey. Thank you for sharing. 😊
What! Progressive doesn’t have anyone for collisions working on Sundays?!?? That’s some bs. Accidents can happen 24/7.
Right???!! We just bought a new travel trailer and got Progressive insurance last week. We will need to rethink that decision!
Wouldn't the campground be liable since it was caused by their lack of maintenance? They are being nice, but also hoping you don't sue them.
It was nice meeting you guys at the westgate on the 12th. Sorry about the accident, but it is only a temporary set back. Enjoy life!
I will send two dollars, and if just half of your subscribers send two dollars, that should cover the damages and more.
I’m so thankful it wasn’t worse and everyone is ok. Stay safe and thank you for passing on your lessons learned about what you’ve gone through (although I’m so sorry they happened!).
Good morning, I'm new here. Sorry to do that. Things just take so long ... but enjoy your content ✨️
Oh no! hope you are all okay. it’s devastating when something like that happens!
Shoulda called Matt’s off-road recovery. They aren’t far from that area
I’m so very sorry about your RV. Glad there were no major injuries and you and Dave were alright!!
Thanks so much!
Hi just found your channel!! I'm loving it! I hope you guys all the best! I hope you are thinking of switching insurance companies once this debacle is complete! Have a great weekend!
You always create fake drama to click bait so maybe that's karma making it real.
Glad all was safe but I would be finding new insurance asap my insurance would have immediately taken care of us
Towing an all wheel drive vehicle should have been done on a flatbed tow truck. Check with your mechanic.
No worries loves, God has you guy’s, i will be praying for your speedy repairs. Love you guy’s. God Bless love’s 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
It's at the speed limit like 10 miles an hour and State Parks. That's an awful lot of damage
How did you come up with the name desert snow? When I get an RV I will name it "schooch" on in.
Sorry for what happen .i hope u guys keep making more video am think of buying a rv and having it built as a 4x4
so sorry for this ... the campground should help out .. that needs to be repaired it could have been worse ... Blessings to you both
Im so sorry that happened to you.i think that pole thing prevented yall from a more dangerous situation or place your rv could have gone
So sorry this happened they really should fix that road.
There build them things crappy with cheap parts considering the price! Thats nuts
dont be mad at me, thats a problem for the campgrounds , there responsibility! to have save roads at all times!, i would get a police report to show the pothles,? . if this was a pothloe on a city, county, or state highway good luck with a claim , but this is a CAMPGROUND, YOU PAY TO BE SAFE, ! i would call the police for a report and map of the road with your pictires and theres, for the insurance company to fix and have the campground pay for the damages ! i glad your ok, but this is a time to fix and repair the rv.
I know its been only a couple of days. Still saying prayers you guys are doing better. Take care!
Stay safe out there.😊
On the bright side, you were able to camp for the weekend.
YIKES! That looks expensive.....
I’m so sorry I’m glad your ok!!! 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜😢😢😢❤️❤️
Did you try to reset the fuel pump inertia switch? It may have tripped and need to be reset to start.
I'm so sorry that you all were in an accident and are stuck there. I'm glad that no one was seriously hurt. Hopefully, the soreness you're feeling will be better very soon. Love your videos!!❤❤
Am sorry too her at and i hop u are ok aobt at am sorry too hare at i hop u gat at fext am sorry too haer at
Just remember when you’re at the bottom, there’s only one way up and that is up and out of there and having fun
Thank for sharing our experience, we will let you know how everything turns out with Progressive!
