Oh wow I was just in Amarillo a few days ago! I slept in the parking lot of the Big Texan for a good 2 or 3 nights while seeing the sights and left my own little smiley face tag at the Cadillac Ranch before moving through. Glad y'all had such a great trip!
I am so happy I found your channel! You Both are so refreshing! You have fun, you tell it the way it is! I'm watching your videos from the beginning and enjoying every minute!
Dave gave it a good try.... but, on the up side, you can make some delicious stew with the leftovers! I hope you two have a slow cooker on board! Sit it in your sink, and you can cook while you drive. Put a liner in the slow cooker for easy cleaning. Don't forget to add a half cup of red wine! 😉

Hello! Just reviewing the video 11/04/2022 (didn't peek). I believe Dave will win! Go Dave! With Tanya and the kids by his side he is already the ultimate winner. Being together as one solidifies eternity! Go team! Now back to the video to see the outcome!
Hi Tonya and Dave I live here in Las Vegas. I watch you guys all the time. I love you I think you’re great one of the things you might want to do next time you’re touring around look up places that guy Ferrari has eaten that on the TV show diners, drive-ins and dives and you’ll be eating a lot of good food. Did you ever think of that?
I just wanted to tell you that I have been subscribed for awhile now. I was watching this video and saw I wasn't? I resubscribed so I'll keep a watch on that. Love your videos and really loved your Halloween broadcast. Keep turning it up for us.
Loved the trip......so many new things to see and appreciate. Every stop was so interesting and fun. Can't wait for your next endeavor, you can make anything fun. Thanks for the trip!
Re: Cadillac Ranch...there is a similar exhibit in Goldfield, NV on 395 north of Las Vegas. Love that little town. While you are there stop at the Santa Fe Saloon and meet the the "Meanest Bartender in Nevada". Tell Laurel Jane says hi...just don't test her reputation. Ha Ha
I ate there during a road trip in 2016. Did not try the challenge; knew I’d never finish, let alone beat the clock. But the steak I had was plenty big and pretty tasty. The biggest challenge was getting there from my hotel; I was staying at a Super 8 a few miles further west and the access roads to either side of I-40 are one way. I turned a street too soon the first time and had to circle back. It’s kind of a tourist trap but the food is good, better than Outback or Longhorn. And plenty to see there.
Great try going after the 72oz - it's a beast. Would have loved to see y'all as I live in Amarillo. If you ever come back through Amarillo, make time to visit Palo Duro Canyon. It's the second largest canyon next to the Grand Canyon. Breath taking scenery, great hiking and mountain biking and beautiful camping/RV spots. If you come in the summer they have a very entertaining outdoor musical that is a can't miss. Safe travels!
What a fun video 🙌🏽🙌🏽.. I really enjoy your videos soooo much.. you guys are so much fun to watch 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I am ready for your next trip..🙌🏽🙌🏽🥰🙌🏽🙋🏿♀️🙋🏿♀️.. thanks so much!!!
Naah, Dave was just eating dinner. He was not thinking about the time or the competition. He was talking too much to focus on the meal😅. 10 minutes was gone while he was chatting and cutting😂.
I bought my travel trailer in Tulsa Dec 21. I dread driving the panhandle due to that wind. I live in Roswell NM so it’s hard to bypass that drive. Btw, come visit our ufo festival around July 4th of every year. Maybe you might feature our festival sometime. It’s a lot of fun. Bring your own tin foil. It’s hard to find around the festival time.
In other news.....I'm a little under the weather, and starting a new chemo journey for a chronic condition. Not going to lie..... I'm a little nervous. Safe travels, you two! 💜
Y’all are such a neat couple! And you’re doing the thing I plan for me and my hubby when he retires- hit the road in a RV for 9 months-1 year and see the USA!!! What are your FAVORITE places? Do a video with your top 5 or 10 places for a visit!
I love that peoples wanna go try that but then realize the salad, potato, and a roll comes with it 😂 BUT there has been a lady of very small stature finish it off. Okay now I gotta watch this and see how Dave does.
I Love Texas and its longhorn style shuttles. You guys are hilarious and really enjoy your adventures. Congrats on your 6 month journey! Btw, I like the name Winslow for your bear. ❤️ 🐻 ❤️
earlier for dinner i trimmed 2 new york strip steaks that i bought on sale and the precooked weight was a little over 21 ounces , i was STUFFED there is no way i could do this - congratulations
I've eaten there several times but never did the challenge. Park where you can see your vehicle, that area around the big Texan is subject to a lot of automotive and truck theft.
That is the best of the best steak places in TX. I go there and more steak in on trip than I do all year. I've having fun reliving my favorite sites around the country until I can get out on the road again! Ahhh, you didn't show the whole plate when he was finished! There was a restaurant in LA county called Farrell's. They had a challenge called the Pig's Trough and double loaded banana split. Shamelessly, I ate it, all...twice on different visits! Whew, those were the days!
That's a whole lotta steak. How did you have it cooked? I'd be full for a couple days after that. Thanks for bringing us along and I hope you "got your kicks on Route 66."
Great job! I live in Amarillo but always enjoy someone else’s point of view of our town. You will need to come back to visit Palo Duro Canyon. In the summer they have the play “Texas” which is areal treat in the canyon.
Enjoy watching your adventures. Those steaks are h humongous great place to eat. Do you guys have a home in Las Vegas. What RV Park do you like there. Thank you for all your tips and information and fun. Sending positive energy 🙏🏼❤️🤙🏼
So loved this video , it was just like our trip out west! We actually stopped at the restaurant in Amarillo But couldn't find a parking stop and if I had known that it did the 76 challenge id have waited ,,so much was closed as this was the beginning of covid ,,Winslow was awesome and we ate at the same place, then drove hours and stayed outside the petrified Forrest ,which was closed as was the entrance to the grand canyon ,but we did circle around and got to see it from the other side,,loved our trip,,started out to be 2 weeks to Cali and back ,,we got home 6 weeks later ! Have fun guys , Great video!!
