One thing I do find strange is how most of these power ups have those 2 simple oval eyes, but then you look in the background and see that the hills or other things also sometimes have those eyes.
There's something I really love about power-up design in Mario games. I can't describe it. There's just something so appealing to these colourful mushrooms and flowers, and their little eyes are so cute too. I wish I had plushies of those adorable things.
honestly the cloud flower had really great design, both visually and in terms of gameplay mechanics. it’s a huge shame the powerup never returned after galaxy 2.
honestly i think the bubble flower couldve looked a lot nicer if both it and the outfit it gave you was more like the cloud flower rather than just a 3rd recolor for the fire flower
“we never get to control them ourselves” wrong, in some levels, the propeller flower is found in blocks, and delivers the player to air-based subworlds you can move it slightly based on how you jump into it (this has no effect on the subworld)
i was shocked you mentioned the shiny variants of the fire and ice flowers from origami king but not the flashy variants from sticker star (and arguably the big versions from color splash)
I like this idea, but similar to the flowers, it might have a lot of overlap with creatures like the blue shell Koopa Troopas from Super Mario World that kick their shells back at you after you kick them at them.
Power Flower in 64 DS always interested me because it basically said “Who needs THE Caps when you can have the flowers and a different character” because it doesn’t work the same for every character in that game Yoshi gets Fire Breath Mario gets inflated into a Balloon……Again Luigi turns invisible And Wario becomes Metal Who knows what happens if any other character gets it
0:50 I just realized we need a Flower-Flower or a generic Super Flower. The fire flower can't be the most basic form of the flower power, by being fire based it is elemental and more specific. Bring me the original flower power 🗣️🗣️
Every single Mario and Luigi copy out there. There are a lot more than people of those might think. I don't think there's enough to make a 10-minute video of, though.
Every Suit Power Up (this might be a short list, but still a fun one) Every unique Koopa species (I'm mostly thinking Paper Mario, but there might be some unique ones in 2D/3D Mario as well) Every Shy Guy variant (again thinking mostly Paper Mario, with the spear boys, medics, slingshots, even general, but Luigi's Mansion also had ghost variants) Every type of dice (this one is heavily leaning towards Mario Party, there have been a lot of unique kinds of dice)
OK, I have to nitpick a bit for this since it sort of bothered me, and maybe it could help for if you do another video of this style. First, for the Fire Flower's appearance within New Super Mario Bros, it actually isn't the first time that design of the Fire Flower was featured, but rather, that was introduced in the Super Mario All-Stars versions of both SMB1 and SMB3, which gives it the modern look we see today. Second, I'd say you should probably have every flower featured by debut order, and saying there wasn't a new flower power-up until New Super Mario Bros Wii was *really* bothersome to me, it would've been a lot better if you had put the Ice Flower before the Gold Flower (and yes, I am well aware that PiT had the Ice Flower first, considering I did play it, and is very good info for someone whose new to the Mario series to know). Sorry that I had to nitpick for this, just wanted to give some constructive criticism for next time you do something like this as quite a Mario Fanatic to the series.

Because world is friend :)
Makes you wonder if you at hiking through the mountains then accidentally fall through one of their eyes

I'm still mad they made the Fire Flower (and Ice Flower by proxy) just basic circles jnstead of the cute themed petals and eyes they had in World.

IS THAT ME?
Ever wonder where snow comes from?
They taste like Shiitaki mushrooms, by the way.
Oh hey! It’s You!
"look at me! I'm the WONDER FLOWER! :D"
Hello there !
“we never get to control them ourselves”
wrong, in some levels, the propeller flower is found in blocks, and delivers the player to air-based subworlds
you can move it slightly based on how you jump into it (this has no effect on the subworld)
It's not just sub worlds. Sometimes, they just take you higher up in the main area to a high-up platform.
This I think is only used for one puzzle
All other times tilting is futile
Now we’re gonna need “every suit in the Mario series”
The first 3 that come to mind are the tanooki, frog and Hammer suits
@@jezierskioliwier2212 Classic! Cat suit, Penguin suit, and Bowser suit are my first 3 (played a lot of NSMB and Mario Party with friends)
@@kryzethx its not a cat suit, its a super Bell, disqualified
Wasn't really expecting this video to bloom out of nowhere

Wow there were some I had never HEARD of on this list. Every suit next maybe?
The tulip style design from Super Mario World is still the best.
How about "Every Single Shell in Mario Ever"?
I like this idea, but similar to the flowers, it might have a lot of overlap with creatures like the blue shell Koopa Troopas from Super Mario World that kick their shells back at you after you kick them at them.

Yoshi gets Fire Breath
Mario gets inflated into a Balloon……Again
Luigi turns invisible
And Wario becomes Metal
Who knows what happens if any other character gets it
surprised you used odyssey footage in the beginning but didnt even use the rocket flower which is a more active use flower than the propeller flower
I'd like to see a video on fruit and vegetable powerups.
Eyyy glad this channel is growing. Keep it up man, great content!
Thanks man!
Logically I think you should do every Star next, both the power-ups and collectibles.

I love the nerdy Mario talk
I think there's already like a 8 hour video about all Mario enemies
But all bosses would be really fun
Now do every other power-up and power-up adjacent in the series :trololol:
You should make a video on every leaf next.
You forgot the Rocket Flower from Super Mario Odyssey.
I think the boomerang flower actually first appeared in mario bros 3
Actually it was the hammer suit that appeared in that game. Similar concept, but different execution and powerup variety.
How about Every Single Suit Power-up in the Mario Series?
So good
Maybe Every Collectable Next???
You're a mad lad
I know my limits lmao
now do every star
Do everything flying type power ups
why did blud include the talking flower as a powerup💀
