    I lived in Dearborn on and off for years. Great 4 th of July celebrations. I noticed a stationary drone hovering above the city ( 7 years ago) a tiny spect in the sky. Sadly Mayor Orville Hubbards statue was removed from in front the old city hall . Still a wonderful city.

      @@LIVINGINDETROIT honestly, you have to come back and try more. Turkish Village opened and is delicious, the kunafa menu is unique by itself. Modern Greek is one of my most favorites. They have large portions and are always a hit. Both Indian restaurants, The Himalayan and Paradisio are yummy. Tilliani is on par to Mint 29 and even more so for special occasions. La Cantina has unique mexican dishes. One food truck did so well that they opened a small restaurant called Corn on the Corner. Burgers are best at Taystees imo.
      Breakfast: Al Tayeb made one of the top restaurants in USA, so delicious and unique, and try Avenue Brunch House for savory or sweet, Michigan Faygo flavored beef bacon anyone? Everyone loves to hang out at the Commoner but I must say the coffee house scene has exploded. We had to find an alternative to Starbucks so we opened several of our own. Detroit Perk is a hidden gem, and good luck getting a table at Jabal or Qahwah House,. All have a different vibe, great decor, serve different drinks and delicious desserts. Gosh, i can't forget Gateaux French Pattiserie either. Rose petal cheesecake, biscoff, macaroons.
      These are the new meeting places for sure. Always buzzing after 5pm and now that summer is here even busier. By the way would you believe that every restaurant that I mentioned in this list doesn't serve alcohol except for La Cantina?
      We don't need booze to enjoy good food and each others' company. That's the community here, it's wonderful
      While you were talking about education look up Fordson high school and see how many graduates have received full rides (Brehm Scholarship) or achieved high GPA to get into Harvard, U of M, Yale and MIT. We value education and push our students.
      Come back and try more good eats.

      Breakfast, the best is Al Tayeb on Warren Ave. It made it as one of the top restaurants in USA, so delicious, and try Avenue Brunch House for savory or sweet, Michigan Faygo flavored beef bacon anyone? Most are in walking distance in West Dearborn which is lit up and has outdoor spaces in the evenings. Our town is beautiful, has history, and has so much to offer those looking for culinary treats.

      @@LIVINGINDETROIT oh my gosh there are just too many to name. The restaurant scene is incredible . My favorite is Modern Greek. Portions are large and they are consistent in food quality.
      There are two Indian ones and both are good but my favorite is the Himalayan Flame.
      Sheeba has fall off the bone tender meats, Tiliani is upscale Italian, Corn on the Corner was once a food truck that took their menu and put it into a sit down restaurant. Just as unique is Taystees Burgers which started in a gas station and now is a franchise! La Cantina is good for Mexican, the Commoner is popular but I love the menu at Avenue Brunch House, Faygo flavored bacon strips,
      grits, savory and sweet items.
      Hard working families turning their crafts into a business is what Dearborn can be proud of. The new Turkish Village is authentic and have a whole menu for Kanafa, La Galata has authentic Turkish breakfast too and don't miss the coffee houses. Jabal, Detroit Perk, Qahwah house. We don't hang out in bars, we made coffee places the hang outs. Always packed. Dessert? Gateaux. Beautiful decor and fresh French patisserie. You have to come back and try more.

    Amazing city. Thank you for the video and the info. What is the average price of Bungalow there ?

    • @LIVINGINDETROIT
      @LIVINGINDETROIT  Месяц назад

      The average price in Dearborn current for single family is in that $275-280K range. That should be about right for most of the bungalows in that area as well. Maybe a big higher. Currently 1,500 - 2000 sqft goes up to to $320K. How this helps!

      Great video. Thx.
      Dearborn is the home of Henry Ford, the infamous museum and Greenfield village and home to Americans. The best food and restaurant scene and hospitable people. Low crime rate, close tight knit society.

      @NadiaDakroub 4 месяца назад +1

      45% of Dearbornites are not arab American and enjoy living here still. For those that are racist like you, good riddance. Americans are a melting pot, some 4th generation, some first. So we are all what you call "average Americans"
