Careful when doing that, just go with it. Whether pressure is building forward or behind your neck you don't want to fight it bcuz it could cause it to tilt in the opposite direction, this could hurt someone.

Funny how the first drop on the video looks so tame and almost flat. In person it feels like a cliff. These videos make it so much easier to eventually go on the rides which look terrifying from the ground. Nothing by smiles and clapping from the whole train at the end of each ride.
Ik the videos are good encouragement and then u go on and you enjoy it

When I first got on it I didn't expect to be that crazy, that first and second drop is insane, and some of the turns are so hard that it gets to a point you can't scream or breath. IS CRAZY
yea but the best part about it is tht its soo smooth. Which is amazing cause most wooden coaster are usually bumpy
i got that exact feeling! I don't scream on rides but there were parts where it was so quiet and eerie because nobody could make a sound lol!

I came all the way from London to new York just to go to six flags in new Jersey. This rides are well worth 3'000 miles lmao. This ride on particular is fantastic because it gives you more than you expect. We were proper screaming at some points haha and I'm not ride light weight

When u hit the very first drop it feels like the life is taken out of you. BUT THIS IS A GREAT Adrenaline RUSH. This is totally worth it afterwards you'll feel so happy ^^ enjoy

When I was 11, my brother convinced me to go on this ride. I hadn't noticed the first drop until we were in the middle of the line. It was terrifying to me. I tried to hold on to the bars in front of the seats but my arms were too short 😂😂

I've done something similar. See, Six Flags used to have a park in Holland. My family made it their goal to hit every Six Flags back when I was a kid and grew tall enough for the rides at my former home park (Six Flags Great Adventure, it is now Six Flags New England) so for winter vacation 2003 we went over to their Belgium and Holland parks (I'd previously gone to the UK that time in 2002 and experienced Thorpe Park) and I rode some wooden roller coaster and I screamed "JAN KEN PON!" (Japanese for "rock paper scissors") on the drop.
Seriously the best freaking coaster in the park!
My gym teacher went on this 11 times in a row in the back row.
I went on this in the back row with my tech and careers teacher during our class trip to Six Flags.
11? Haha, I was on it at least 35 times on one day, only back row and I could stay in my seat 5 times a row without getting up!

No way, standing on the runway for Ka was one of the most terrifying things I've been through. Definitely worth it though.
El Toro is no joke!! I finally got a chance to ride this a few days ago and the ride is wickedly intense. There is not one moment of boredom and you are immediately captivated!!! I've never been on any roller coaster this maddening and fun!!! Don't even think about keeping your arms raised for the entirety of this ride because it will be impossible given the brutal force. As far as wooden coasters go, this has to be among the best ever! Bravo!
This ride is waaaaay scarier than it looks in this video. I got on it last year, best way to describe it is as if I was pushed out of a high story building window. I screamed like a lunatic the whole ride! I'm 😂😂😂😂
Went to Six Flags recently and made the mistake of riding El Toro before anything and I got a headache the whole day. It was the most intense ride I've ever been on and I didn't get to ride the other roller coasters because I was afraid my headache would get worse (thought I was having some symptoms of aneurysm because my brain moved around from the ride lol!) I loved it, though. I would make sure that it's the last ride of the day when I go back ,though.
The first lift was very fast, and the first drop was so steep I thought I was going to be ejected off my seat. My neck was being whipped back and down, side-to-side and nobody could even scream on some parts of the ride because it was too intense lol. Definitely give this ride a try, but do it when you've pretty much had your fill of the other roller coasters if you're not used to riding them xD
Also, this ride is the fastest I've ever been on!
It was my first ride I went on at the park, and I rode every other ride. That's the power of being a guy who rides way too many coasters.
You should try Kingda Ka... It goes 128 mph
advice Next Time Try to Prepare For Turns and lean Into Them Id ride this In back Seat
+Chii Junchu, Nitro was the first one I went but I rode so many of them the first drop of Nitro never gets me any more. Probably because riding Drop of Doom so many times. Slingshot and Dare Devil felt like nothing but the view was great. Having a conversation w/ the guy next to you that works there because you have to launch as 2 not 1 while we were in the motions was cool. Other people were screaming their minds out. I was like, why do people need to scream at all while on it tumbling. Probably because Joker as the tumbling was crazier but the scary feeling wasn't there.
I got sick 😷 after this ride and it’s my first time never ever again
We went on this ride when we were on holiday and my aunt fainted in the seat behind us, we saw her unconscious in the photo!

Went to six flags yesterday.. tried this one coz of peer pressure lol (my brother and sis in-law) came out of it as a new person! Someone who would never ever ever give into peer pressure no matter what! This ride is insane! It’s neck breaking! I kid you not, I woke up with a stiff neck and back!

I went on this 2 times and I had no idea how intense this was before riding it, I waited 30 min for this and it definitely worth it. That first drop feels like your jumping off a building, its terrifying. Right after the drop, you feel like your being crushed and a second later, you feel your going off a ramp and these forces repeat 2 times, then there’s a turn and then a drop and then just straight track. then the ride turns left into the next drop. This part was so intense and forceful that i thought the ride had derailed at that point. Then you go into the last turns and they bone-crushing. The ride ends and you are left in shock. Definitely one of my favorite coaster. The only bad thing about this ride is that it’s pretty rough
I went on this yesterday, and it was insane. It builds up and up and then you brace for the drop and it’s not there for like 5 seconds, and then you see the drop and you know your screwed. That first drop was utterly terrifying.

This ride is fast and one of the best wooden roller coasters I’ve ever been on. It’s rough as hell! The wind kept pushing my head down. It really does fit it’s name, El Toro. Definitely recommend it unless you don’t like rough rides.

I'm so glad they created this ride. For as long as this ride is here, the line will ALWAYS be long for this ride. It's been here for awhile and it still rides smoothly. Its definitely better at night. I LOVE EL TORO 😍 . My 2nd fav ride here.

I went on El Toro first when I was 10 years old. I wanted to cry so bad it was so scary. Now, I would do it in a heart beat over and over and I'm a lover of thrill rides. Definitely recommend this ride!!!

Flew to New Jersey a couple months ago just to go to Six Flags Great Adventure. This became my favorite roller coaster of all time. Amazing! I miss it!

Haha yes!! I was screaming " oh my GOSH!!! AAAAH!!!" down the drop itself. My BFF was screaming louder than I was and she didn't like wooden coasters all that crazily. Lol I thought I was going fly off this coaster. The ejector airtime is wild and makes it fun. Over hills we are still screaming loud together. Good times.
P.S. I liken it to falling off a cliff. It's terrifying and I'll never free fall in sky b4.
Loved it went on with my sons for the first time.
When me and my sister went on it ,it was my first time to my sister is 16 and when we got to the top she started to scream and the drop didn't even happen, people keeled saying this is crazy fast I was so scared and when the drop happened I felt like I was gonna fly out I had my eyes closed the hole time

Best six flags ride out of all the parks
I went on this today and I have to say it was x10 worse in real life. The first drop was very steep and I felt like I was gonna die. After the first drop, you can pretty much handle the rest because it's not bad. It was extremely fast and bumpy. I hurt my back and neck but it was worth it.

God his ride hurt lol. The first drop is nuts, way scarier than in the video. You're constantly lifted out of your seats but damn this ride throws you around. My rib was aching and my knees were bruised until a few days after the ride lol.

Great video, but no video can ever do this coaster justice. I'm so glad this and Ka are at my home park. I recommend El Toro to anyone - it's an experience. The speed, the way the track roars with the train clinging on to it for dear life at the top of every hill, the breakneck banking and the crazy low headchoppers make this easily my #2 favorite coaster of all time (right behind Nitro!),
This was my first ride I went on the first time I went to six flags. I didn't think a wooden roller coaster would be so crazy.... That wooden roller coaster was awesome.

After I got off the ride, my sister and I watched from where the small lake is with the view of the ElToro (the one where the Runaway Mine Train was) and saw paper flying from people's pockets. Money.
Also my sister saw a phone floating on midair while we were on it lol.

I rode on this about a year ago and I’m telling you I was legitimately terrified! Like I’m never going back on here ever again! I enjoyed it afterwards of course but I would never do it again! I still remember being frozen in fear, white knuckled and no sound coming out of me and praying for it to be over in my head! Had a good laugh about it after wards and went on the kingda ka lmaoo
This was my first ride!! I was 8 or 9 years old. I remember we went to six flags to see Katy perry and after that we went on one more ride and Katy went also on it. She was in the cart before us with her boyfriend... I forgot who it was.... Hahaha definitely the best night of my life!
I know the question wasn't directed at me but I feel I can answer as well. I have ridden both and must say El Toro takes the cake. I have been to all the 6 flags and El toro still ranks as one of my top rides anywhere. I am not just a fan boy though. I defend this opinion by claiming that the smoothness of the ride rivals any steel coaster you can go on and the forces applied even without inversions make this a more intense ride than any other in the park. Drop is better than kingda and nitro's.

This place has the best coasters I have been on ever! My cousin was next to me and he was bellowing in my ear.. AAAAAAAAAGH!!! I came of Kingda Ka half deaf in my left ear, but I still had a blast!👌👍

Favorite coaster in the whole park, by far.
On a not so busy off season day at GA I rode El Toro three times back to back. My friend I first sat in the front, then somewhere in the middle, and finally in the very last row of the Thani. Would you believe, the most thrilling ride experience was the back seats. You feel the drops more and you seen to have more airtime.

I woke up the next morning with a HUGE crick in my neck, but that's because I tried to resist the headchopper effect the first time I went on it. You won't get hurt on this ride, just go with the flow. Love this thing :)
