Glad to see the mention of Houdini. It’s one of my favorite dark rides. I’ve operated it for a handful of seasons on and off now, and it’s such a cool experience watching the guests get off this thing. Also glad to see someone not saying JD is terrible.
I don't ride NJ's Houdini often since I ride the one at Six Flags New England when I'm there.
@@CanobieCoaster if I recall they are slightly different. I haven’t ridden the SFNE one in a long time.
@@CanobieCoaster same
Loved houdini. Great ride!
50% of the time i go on houdini it often breaks down so i tend to not go on it.
I actually felt Kingda Ka going up into the top hat when I was going up on Zumanjaro it felt so weird but it was so cool
I need to experience them running simultaneously, but I have rotten luck with Zumanjaro.
Great Adventure is very much a thrill-centric and coaster-centric park, but this video does a great job showing some of their other offerings. It's possibly the most well rounded park in the Six Flags chain.
The safari makes it super unique and they have more than just coasters.
@@CanobieCoaster also has a water park lol
As one of the biggest amusement parks in the world, six flags great adventure is shocking how many rides it has. From the absolute insane collection of roller coasters to the well advertised themed rides lol. This park has a lot of elite coasters, the fact that they have a Intamin Strata and Prefab and B&M Hyper and RMC and B&M Flyer, those are all elite types of coasters. It's impossible to get board here and it makes NJ a destination to go.
Don't forget the safari!
They are buying up more land to build more. I live right near it.
I love how honest this video is 😂 like the description for Skull Mountain. But that’s what makes it a good video cause it’s both 🙂
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for making this video! I plan on going there tomorrow for the first time! I plan to ride nitro and kindaka
Enjoy!
Can’t wait to get back to this park sometime next year! Toro and kingda ka are 2 rides I can’t live without
They're great.
easily the best rides at the park
I went on El Toronto today and I can still gell the steep drop I didn't have enough time to go on king da ka I'll have to go back this summer
Yup you're right with the safari. I personally don't like going on roller coasters, but I live close enough to the park where I try to go to the safari once every week in the summer. It is a great experience.
I love it.
It seems like jersey devil gets a lot of hate, but I like how you put it at 2nd, I know el toro deserves the first placed, it has much more airtime than everyone says it does. It’s an amazing coaster and one of my favorites.. It’s not that forceful but it’s still a great ride. Thank you for posting more and keep uploading love you’re vids!
You're welcome!
Yes my home park! It’s such a great park with so many top tier rides. PS riding kingda ka in the front row in 50*F temperatures is amazing lol
Kingda Ka in dense fog was my favorite. You couldn't even see the tower from the launch track.
I’m late but I had a night ride on ka last October-ish with decent fog and it shot into my top 15
I can agree on that after getting so many rides on JDC the back is such a elite ride experience with you being whip on the drop is so good I have this ride #2 in the park right behind Toro
The back on Jersey Devil is great.
You've been everywhere and your channel is amazing I have been following you since you had about a hundred and something subs I'm jealous of everywhere you went but your channel is amazing I love these type of videos the off-ride videos not so much.
Thank you! I know the POVs and off-ride footage aren't as exciting, but this is the only channel I have to post them.
Super cool to see our videos used! Great Video!
Thanks!
I've been going to SFGA ever since I was a kid, going back to the early-80s. I haven't been recently, so I haven't experienced JD yet, but I absolutely LOVE both El Toro and Nitro, and have high regard for both KK and Bizarro (née Medusa).
One amazing flatride that I've never seen since and haven't seen since it left SFGA: the old "Sidewheeler", which looked like the inner workings of a luxury watch and rode like a Scrambler inside another Scrambler. That ride had INSANE seating (could take 100 easily), which may have been its downfall as it always looked empty ... and placing it near the kiddie section did the ride no favors. Doubtful we'll ever see anything like that again, which is very sad.
Did you mean Super Sidewinder? I just looked that ride up and it was massive. I wish it were still around.
Reminds me of Cyborg Cyber Spin!
Perfect timing, as I'm gonna be at the park this Sunday and Monday lol
Are they running all the coasters during the holiday in the park? I've never been.
@@Spiderific all of them are except for kingda ka, el toro, bizarro, and runaway mine train
Enjoy! Hopefully the weather is good enough for Jersey Devil. That's the only one that's cold and wind dependent this time of year.
@@CoasterRoaster damn that’s awesome. Winterfest at Canada’s Wonderland doesn’t run any major roller coasters of flat rides.
Great list!
Thanks!
Great vid!!!
Thanks!
Had to wait till next year to Ride the Devil but I’d have to agree with El Toro as number one. Hopefully all they do is track work during the repairs/refurb and don’t ad any trims. It’s also an amazing night ride.
From what I've seen, they're just replacing El Toro's track. I don't think they could add trims to that ride or else it wouldn't make it back to that high brake run. It already is a valley risk with empty trains.
They just redid the tracks work for it and it's amazing!
They didn't fix the roughness which means they have to do it again...
I went to Great Adventure last summer, and I absolutely loved it! I got hit really bad by the rapids on Congo, and Kingda Ka is… well, Kingda Ka. I loved my trip and will definitely go back!
Nice!
Glad you put el torro at number 1…i tell folks that’s the best ride in the park. It’s so much fun
I love those 4 main airtime moments.
@@CanobieCoaster yes!!!!
I've been meaning to ask about the safari. Did they convert it back into Safari Off Road Adventure yet and if not, is there any word on when they will?
It's still a drive thru due to covid. I'm not sure if they'll switch back since they realized they can charge a separate fee for the safari and they can run that in hours when the park is closed.
Mervin Leroy (GA's designer) wanted mature trees for this wonderful park. The safari & themed park were to open separately. It was decided to open the whole thing at the same time. This lead to it being bought by Six Flags in 1977. The park opened in '74. AstroWorld was leased in '75. GA DOES have a lot of bragging rights. As with its coasters has had a lot of UpS & dOwNs over the decades, but still going strong!
The park is very good.
Warner LeRoy.
went to great adventure like a few days ago, i didnt know half of these were there!! i wanna go back..
Well worth revisiting.
I always find the airtime hills on Nitro and Kingda Ka to be underrated. I always have gotten insanely sustained air on both. Also the back row on Ka is no where near as bad as people say, while still rough I didn't get any headbanging at all. Overall both are extremely underrated.
Ka's camelback has speed, but it doesn't have too much airtime. Nitro is overhated by enthusiasts.
I have avoided Green Lantern for years. Almost everyone says it’s painful, on both your head and legs. You’ve been right about so many things. Why not GL? So I finally rode it today. I actually enjoyed it. No idea why so many people dislike it.
I think people don't set the restraint properly.
@@CanobieCoaster yes I just followed your advice, and the ride was enjoyable
Just wanted to say about your El Toro ranking yes it deserves number one but after the rolling thunder hill that doesn’t mean it’s just bad there’s a lot of other really fun elements on coasters besides air time
That's fair. Everyone will view that part differently.
I want to go back here soooo bad!! The one time I went, ka was down, and i waited 2 hours for Toro in the backseat (worth it)
Hopefully you can get back for Ka!
it’s worth it to get to reride el toro & ride kk haha
My mom, dad, brother and I rode the Log Flume and Run Away Mine Train in 1977. (My brother and I also rode Lil' Screamer which became "lil' Thunder in 1979, since then I've only been back with my dad and brother in 1981 and rode Lighting Loops and Rolling Thunder.)
Now the park as Kingda Ka which as the biggest drop on any coaster at 418' coming in 4th place in the park', followed by 3rd place: E; Toro which has the biggest Prime ride time (from the moment the train starts picking up speed the moment it disengages from the lift hill until it hits the end break run) of any B&M hyper coaster model (including the 4 with drops under 200' and the three with drops over 300'; yes, including Fury 325) and it also has nine car trains with the best ops (due to a long ride and high train capacity). It also has Jersey Devil which I'd waited to visit SFGA to ride (until El Toro went down) and finally El Toro: The best Six Flags roller coaster ever built (from what I've been told.)
I'd've gone there instead of Canada Wonderland almost 4 months ago if El Toro hadn't gone down, but at least I managed to ride the top 3 B&Ms there when I'd never ridden any B&M hyper yet. But Six Flags Great Adventure is the place I want to visit next!
It makes sense to wait until El Toro reopens. It should run like a dream next year with all the trackwork.
Ive had a soft soft for rolling thunder it was my first big roller coster
It grew on me in my rainy final rides.
never realized that that was the last topspin, i've never actually gotten around to riding it so i really should get on it when i go again, in about a week or so
I would in case it gets removed soon.

The seating position of Jersey Devil was painful to me, especially since there was no line and I was able to keep riding. I did get several rides in the back, and I noticed the strong airtime, but the pain in my knees kept me from fully enjoying it. I have it # 7 in the park, behind 5 coasters and Zumanjaro. Kingda Ka is such a surreal experience. It's easily my # 2. Nitro is my 3rd favorite in the park, and 3rd favorite B&M hyper.
Being able to lap Jersey Devil is when that seating position gets to you. Same with the other raptors.
i completely agree w this, kingda ka is amazing & the only ride i like more is el toro, it’s my #4 at all the parks i’ve been to & el toro’s my #1 at every park
what are your thoughts on jersey devil compared to the smaller rmc raptors?
The smaller ones are more intense and faster paced.
i went on nitro and it was horrifying! in the first drop, it feels like youre abt to fall off bc nothing is holding u as much so its pretty scary. i closed my eyes the whole time and it felt like i was on this ride for eternity, it was never ending!
It is a nice long ride.
The lap bar is secure. You're not the only one who thought that. I love teaching facts about rides to GP (general public) thru out the park.
my top 5 are
5. jersey devil
4. zumanjaro
3. nitro
2. kingda ka
1. el toro
i’m just wondering why you put jd over kk, i like both of the rides but the launch on kk is one of the best ever imo, especially the time i got a relaunch or whatever you call it - but i’ve never gotten the opportunity to ride jd in the very back so that may be why, i do agree with what you said about el toro though, pretty good air time & way smoother than i originally expected from a wooden coaster
I like the length and airtime of Jersey Devil.
I rode Skull Mountain in the Back, and It was intense I will Recommend Doing it .
I love the drop.
Fr tho people infront of me be acting weird on the ride 😭
Not many people use my videos or even ask I think you are the first one thank you it makes me feel happy
Thanks for allowing me to use them!
My top 5
5, Nitro. The more I ride it, the more I enjoy the ride. This ride is elevated when it gets dark.
4, Batman the Ride. I love B&M Inverts, and sheer intensity.
3, Jersey Devil. I really enjoyed this Raptor and much like Nitro, the ride experience is elevated after dark
2, Kingda Ka. I love intensity and that launch is just that. Night rides on this beast are epic.
1, El Toro. This ride lives up to its name, and is my number 7 overall.
Such a stacked lineup.
Wonder women is my favorite and I also like all the roller coasters
Wonder Woman is a fun one.
@@CanobieCoaster I agree. My friends and I went on it, and we were screening so loud when it went up high.
Why does SFGAdv have two top spin like flat rides, two frisbee like flat rides, a starflyer, and a drop tower, but nothing else.
They have some spinning rides too that didn't make the list.
Of the B&M Batman invert clones, which one do you like more, Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great Adventure or the original Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America?
Probably the Great America one, but it's close.
What are the differences between the bike seat high and the bike seat low?
Groin pain and no groin pain.
Green lantern should not even make top 25.
I really like that ride, but I get it's not for everyone.
LOL. Funny. I thought the same thing 🤣
I think many found the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure to be painful, and you, Canobie Coaster?
I find it enjoyable.
At Six Flags Great Adventure, what do you think about Skull Mountain, Runaway Mine Train, Superman Ultimate Flight, and Nitro?
Nitro is the best of the bunch, but I'll ride any of them.
Nitro will always be a favorite
It's very fun.
Watch the video "How to ride B&M stand ups " to know more. Your key is the bike seat low or is the bike seat high?
Low
Groin pain is if the bike seat is high, or if the bike seat is low?
High
At Six Flags Great Adventure, what do you think about Superman Ultimate Flight, Green Lantern, Nitro and El Toro?
Like all those.
Hi, did you here about the recent El Toro accident? I hope (but I think it's likely) it doesn't shut down permantly.
I did. Hopefully it can safely reopen.
I really want to try the jersey devil but the reason I dont want to go on it because of the first drop. The reason I dont go on roller coasters is because of the drop. Idc about the loops or turns I just care about that first drop. When I went to Six flags with one of my friends on December 18, I promised her I would go on Nitro because she really wanted to go on it the last time I came with her but I was to scared to go on it because of the drop. I remember when I was crying and balling my eyes out on Nitro. But now its my favorite ride lmfao. I need to know how the jersey devil is like D:
Definitely try Jersey Devil towards the front since the drop is a lot mellower up there.
The drops are usually the least intense part of the rides imo. Especially on Nitro...Nitro's first drop is tame but some of the airtime hills and Especially the helix is intense.
Yay, my home park! This park for some reason receives some flak, probably b cuz it aint the most appealing looking. To me though, I dont mind it, great ride lineup, and that's all I care about.
It's a very good park.
When I first saw the title, I thought to myself, "I didnt know great adventure has 25 coasters" lol
I like to include more than just coasters.
I'm sorry but this list is wild lol. El Toro is absolutely rough. King da ka and wonder woman top 3
Jersey Devil and El Toro are easily the top 2 for me.
@@CanobieCoaster I like jersey devil just haven't found the right seat. Those harnesses are odd. I like your videos tho. I got diamond passes for me and my gf. We will be checking out New England and Maryland later this year. We've only been to great adventure
Imagine reriding the B&M stand up coaster at the park, if the bike seat is high...
If the bike seat is low...
If the seat is low, I enjoy Green Lantern. It can be painful if it's high.
aint no way blud done put justice league above superman that shit is dead last 💀
Personal preference.
My dad went to the safari when he was younger. He said the car in front of him was getting attacked by the monkeys
I've heard stories similar.
An elephant stuck its trunk into our SUV once.
At Six Flags Great Adventure, I think many found Green Lantern, the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster, to be a painful ride. And you?
I like it.
Dang, 4 of your top 5 were either closed or nonexistent when I went to the park in 2019.
You need to give them another try.
@@CanobieCoaster absolutely.
@@CanobieCoaster I did and now Great Adventure is one of my favorite parks. Kingda Ka is the best ride there.
Home park gang wya
My top 4 at the park are as follows
1. El toro
2. Nitro
3. Jersey Devil
4. Kingda Ka
Can’t judge Jersey devil since I’ve gotten one ride in the middle so it could change since I have a season pass for next and this year
Jersey Devil is way better in back.
@@CanobieCoaster yeah I gotta ride it again definitely
Rn I’m in Orlando gonna pick up some credits at universal and seaworld maybe funspot and bgt too :)
If Great Adventure wanted to shock the world, they’d get rid of the Safari and the animals and build some world class jawns on the land. We gave up our memberships this year, and took a baller ass trip to Knoebel’s instead. GA is only 40 minutes away from us too, just didn’t dig the vibe anymore.
The safari isn't going anywhere. The park has plenty of spots they could use in the main park.
A lot of these rides are not there anymore. Skull mountain hasn't been there in years. Teacups were gone too...
Skull Mountain and the Tea Cups were both there in 2022.
Skull Mountain at least is still there; I went to Great Adventure a couple weeks ago.
'The drop on the skycoaster is scarier than any element on a coaster at SFGADV'. *Kingda Ka's 400+ foot 270 degree twisting vertical drop enters the chat*
For me, the skycoaster drop is scarier than either that or Zumanjaro.
Toro's first drop: Am I a joke to you?
Visiting this park for the first time 3 days ago I had an amazing experience I did not experience their dark ride Houdini as it was closed for the day and when I went Jersey devil was running faster then usual as when I got in the back row I got insane ejector people have said the coaster was slow but I’m not sure as I got insane ejector in the back row the thing that sucks is that there is assigned seating on Jersey devil coaster so that’s a downside and great news bizarro is now back as Medusa!!! And sadly they slowed king da kas launch a bit as the noticed it went to fast over the top hat
Glad you had a great visit!
I think green lantern belongs above bizarro. It is more intense and my 2021 rides on bizarro had a bad rattle in the first half.
I agree Green Lantern is more intense, but Bizarro is more enjoyable (slightly).
Green Lantern headbangs much more than Medusa.
I hate green lantern. The headbanging is UNBEARABLE
I set the OTSR as low as possible to mitigate that.
I’m going on Saturday from 10AM to 8PM will I be able to ride EVERY single ride you named? (Anyone can answer!)
A few- Cyborg in particular- may be closed. If crowds are an issue, you may either need a Flash Pass or use the single rider lines.
@@CanobieCoaster ok thank you!
Would you like to go again to Six Flags Great Adventure?
Yes
Ok so this is the thing, (also as top thrill dragster) when I walk next to them or by them if I’m talking all I hear is my ears popping and screams of terror and the launch system so honestly kinda ka and top thrill dragster may be great but there to loud
I love the sound this ride makes.
Uh Not true, It's acuity in the Trenton metro area about 22 Miles South East from the State's Capital
comparing how long it'll take from New York City, it's only an hour away and no one can drive that far to work especially while living in an apartment downtown.
Ah ok, thanks for clarifying.
@@CanobieCoaster your welcome
The park services both Philadelphia metro region and NYC
Yes
SkyScreamer is so freaking good at night
I like it best at sunset.
cool! i like to ride it when its pitch black so all the light projects from the other rides. It really has a good view
Six flags is literally crazy town
Lots of great rides.
Cyborg Cyber Spin is actually being torn down
Did the park announce it's done?
1:48 Is this a dark ride?
It's a madhouse/haunted swing.
Twister will most likely not be going anywhere for a while
With all the parts it received from the chain's closed ones, makes sense.
Nitro is my #1
Nice!
At Six Flags Great Adventure, I think many found the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster to be a painful ride. And you?
Canobie Coaster would say: I like it.
If I ask you: Why do you like it?
Canobie Coaster would say:
I like it with my stand-up method.
By the way, the "poop" video I referred to is nothing like what the name may suggest. It's a lot of sentence mixing to make you say some kid-friendly jokes.
Ah ok!
I don’t really like roller coasters , but it’s a field trip for school so why not .
Enjoy!
@@CanobieCoaster lmfao It was okay , I haven’t been on a roller coaster in 7 years and my friends made me go on El Toro for the first ride of the day almost passed out Jesus Christ intense for me lol
Plz say sorry for not mentioning the Twix ad thing on the twister
Lol
I was 1 inch short for Kingda ka :(
Oh no! Maybe next year?
My new idea open this or water park in Jacksonville FL
Open what?
IM THERE
Nice!
I haven’t been on Batman The Dark Knight since it opened in 2008
I ride it once a year.
Imagine riding the Bolliger & Mabillard stand up coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure in an incorrect position...
It can hurt your groin.
Me and you have the same last three
Makes sense!
Wait, that slingshot thiing costs a separate fee? Dude, if I already paid to get in to use the rides, why is there a separate charge? I mean, I can understand separate charges for food, gifts, and carnival games, but for one of the rides? No way.
It's such low capacity, they make it an upcharge.
@@CanobieCoaster *shrug* Their company, their rules.
I wWould pick number six
A fun one!
I wanna go here so badly, but i live in Europe unfortunately
Maybe one day.
@@CanobieCoaster yes hopefully

Imagine reriding again, so what do you think about:
Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great Adventure
Batman the Ride at Six Flags St Louis
Batman the Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia
GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm
Raven at Holiday World
Roller Coaster at Lagoon
Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia
Steel Force at Dorney Park
Salama at Linnanmäki
