Like a classic chain lift. Too the boat hitting the side's on every turn scraping by. Love log flume rides. Before coasters it was the adrenaline high at amusement park's but I still love them so much
You can see in this video what they did the last two years. From all the cold winters and warm summers the ride was breaking down. Not only the mechanicals but the flume itself. The flume is no longer blue but brown where they replaced fiberglass to stop the water from leaking out. They also bolted on plates to hold pieces together. I am glad they saved this ride and restored it. On a hot day in NJ it is a lot of fun to ride. Even the ride managers are nice!
I love this ride . Reminds me of my childhood . Classic flume and one of the most scenic rides in the park in my favorite themed area. Best of the west is my favorite dining spot also
Man I remember going on this so much when I was younger, my brothers and I would always get on and before a drop we’d just yell “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIEEE” just to get a reaction LMAO
If you go to Theme parks in Europe, you will never see people posted along the flume route (ie: top of lift hill) standing there silently staring at you are you go by. They only have workers in the loading station. Here in America, it's like ""big brother is watching you" LOL
The audio is clipping on this video. I've been on that flume and not once did it shake like that. Also, there are other videos of this same ride and there was no lift hill shaking, nor bad audio clipping.
Great POV! Could I please use this with credit in an upcoming video ranking the Great Adventure rides? I will be sure to provide credit and a link back. This ride is rarely open for me, so I have zero footage of it.
I remember in the early 80s they used to announce this had about a 45 minute wait time and people thought that was crazy. Who would’ve ever predicted the shit that goes on at Disney World
My sister put me on here when I was 7 and bcz it was my first time at six flags and I hated the feeling of dropping and that’s when I knew I didn’t like rides
@@CoasterChaos I checked earlier today while at work. it turns out that great adventure did indeed have a spillway drop on their log flume. The other parks to have them or Fuji q highland, Busch Gardens Tampa, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg in addition, of course, to Kennywood
Not for nothing but at the 2:00 mark when you passed by that pretty looking girl employee, if that was me I would've shouted at her and said "Hey there pretty lady, care to join me??? There's plenty of room??"😇😇😉😉 But that's just me. Anyway, oh man I love this ride!!! I sure as hell miss coming to this place!!💦💦 I might just hitchhike one day when I become too desperate to wanna come back here to Great Adventure.
Every park in the US, is getting rid of rides that anyone can go on! Cedar Point only cares about thrill seekers, what about generations, who've come there for years? Just sad!!
I went on this in July....1984

Yeah and usually it’s closed during winter
@@that1strangerthingzfanpagee Of course, it would freeze and damage the ride even more! They empty all the water out in the winter!
@@Buc_Stops_Here Yeah they need to pay a little more attention to water rides and other rides that can be damaged in certain weather conditions.
So refurbish it, don't get rid of it
Yeah. This happened in 2023 in nj so yes this was happening and it’s the reason this was closed down.

LOVE BOTW- awesome burgers!
Yeah!!!! Mine too!!!😉
This was absoleutly pure fun! I enjoyed every minute of it especially on a hot summer day.
I've enjoyed this ride as a kid, with my kids, and hopefully one day, grandkids. Great ride!
My other favorite rides there are Congo Rapids, Skull Mountain, and Runaway Mine train! Great rides.
def perfect for a hot summer day even in a heatwave
Standing on the bridge got you wetter than any ride in the park as a kid
I was here the day it opened this year but didn’t ride because we were short on time.
There’s no thing to hold on to and I felt like I was gonna die on the drop-
Inside the log on both sides there is there’s a pole ur supposed to hold onto it
So much fun riding on a log flume way up in the trees. Great ride
still looks the same my last ride was in 1980’s
Really good drops. Great water all around 😊.
2:04 sounds like a god damn bomb went off
In summer 2016, I used to smoke Disco Spinach 420 (jazz cabbage) and ride this. It was so much fun.
Man I remember going on this so much when I was younger, my brothers and I would always get on and before a drop we’d just yell “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIEEE” just to get a reaction LMAO
LMAO my sister did that too! Brings back such good memories 😭

I loved this ride so much as a kid but boy those hills are shakey! I’d be scared to ride that now as an adult I get nervous being so high up.
Looks fun I would definitely ride that
i would love a ride like this. nothing crazy but still soooo fun
I got on that once
ok
Im on it rn
For a log flume, it's a good ride. The problem is it totally lacks themeing.
Third seat is best! U can hold the 2nd seat back and the back person is a good seat back
this is my fav one

Went on this ride and my soul left my body on the last drop 😭
IS IT BAD?!?! LIKE HOW DID YOU FEEL, CAUSE I WANNA GO ON THIS RIDE
same 😭
The audio is clipping on this video.

I love this ride! It is smooth!
I came back from this ride lmao
Lots of fun!!!
I am going on this tommrow but I’m starting to get scared cause people sayin it’s runed down 😭
I want to go there and on this one day
I went on this today June 17 2019🥺😅
How did you find it? Is the lift hill really that shaky?
yea kinda
I love this ride but a few days a go it broke
Great POV! Could I please use this with credit in an upcoming video ranking the Great Adventure rides? I will be sure to provide credit and a link back. This ride is rarely open for me, so I have zero footage of it.
Sure, go ahead. Look forward to watching the video
@@CoasterChaos Thanks!
BEST LOG FLUME EVER!
Sadly right now that ride is closed but its gonna come back on the 50th Anniversary
So fantastic
i love this ride
Fun
How did you manage to make the lift hill that shaky
I don’t know man, I really don’t. ;)
Fun fact-
While riding this, I saw on the sidewalk of the park, there was a DEER.
This used to be closed in 2023 right, cuz of winter?
But on like a sign it said it was gonna open in 2024?
So ty for making a pov.
I loved going on log flume in coney island with my dad.
#The big Green bucket !
I remember in the early 80s they used to announce this had about a 45 minute wait time and people thought that was crazy. Who would’ve ever predicted the shit that goes on at Disney World
I remember going in 2014, and this was the ride with the longest line. The classics never get old.
Hoping i can make it there one day before it closes. Not sure how much life it has left
Lol I went on this ride with my brother on September 14th
My sister put me on here when I was 7 and bcz it was my first time at six flags and I hated the feeling of dropping and that’s when I knew I didn’t like rides
Nice water attraction.
How come they don't operate both log flumes??????????
This had a spillway drop, didn't it?
Not too sure, as far as I know Kennywood had one of the only ones on their log flume
Nice. Sad to see that these are a dying breed. Thanks for watching though!
That was hydroflume! They no longer have the second flume ride
The station before the second chute is called the Spillway. Not sure if that is what you are referring to.
Play to get on this ride but this ride was all broken no water was in the one of the big holes and the big drops were gone all water was gone
Something happened like an acindent at that ride
bass boosted log flume be like
I want to like to ride on a water splash park ride
i went on this today june 26
i rided this when i was 8 yrs old lol i thought i was gonna die because i never rided a roller coaster before
I.Love.It!
The lift hill is shaky in real life so if you want to go on it just know that
What place is this in
Um....it says where it’s at in the title of the video.
Great Adventure in New Jersey.
Six Flags Great Adventure
Six flags
And I also rode it!
i got stuck on the ride 😳
Yeah. I got stuck on Joker for half an hour on the lift hill when it started raining.
i got stuck 2x in one round lol
I got stuck on the dark night coaster for 5 min
Not for nothing but at the 2:00 mark when you passed by that pretty looking girl employee, if that was me I would've shouted at her and said "Hey there pretty lady, care to join me??? Nice story bro
You come on this ride with no health problems, and leave with vibration white finger. Fun times.
It's waiting not waithing
Looks rickety and dirty.
Many boobie squeezes happen on these rides, especially ones that go through dark tunnels.
lmao
It's loud

I did it with Woodglut.
This ride looks old and worn out…..it needs to be redone completely. Some of those safety barriers are bent and or broken….👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 5 thumbs down……
Ok Karen
I dunno, this looks kinda unsafe
