    Hi Greg! Thank you for, yet again, another great video! That is a great way to find low-competition sub-niches. My question for you is, after you find those sub-niches, how do you research the demand for them? Do you do it within Merch Informer or do you use other tools? Thank you again and have an amazing day! ~ Jackie

    Hello greg! I have followed your advice and uploaded on teeshepring, teepublic and redbbubble.
    Now my question is:
    1. Should we still follow the same strategy for teespring as per your old videos?
    2. I am not showing up on teepublic (now I dont want this to happen to merch on demand by amazon and redbubble either) how and when will my designs show up on the pod websites?
    3. Do we need a social presence for the above to happen?
    Thank you so much for your time

I have a QUESTION - Regarding niche research with Merch Informer Tool, suppose a search with keyword 'linemen' showed up as low completion in the results, but there were 'linemen shirts' or 'linemen sweatshirts' that showed up as high competition. In such a scenario, will linemen be a profitable low competition niche? Thanks once again

    Greg, I LOVE your videos! I have been trying to set up my print on demand business for at least a month and by far you have the best videos explaining the process and giving great tips. Thank you! Question: I came across a video of yours from a few years ago taking about how to sell your t-shirts on Instagram. Do you have to make separate stores on the POD sites and Instagram for each niche? Can you have multiple? I currently have designs in different niches but I haven’t made any sales yet and I’m wondering which way is best to generate more business. If you could do another newer video on this topic of setting up social media business profiles and how to approach multiple niches, that would be amazing!

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад +3

      Thanks for the support and great question about social media and niches. A couple years ago it was crucial to use your own marketing to get the first few sales for a website called Teespring. They required that you got the first few sales before they started doing the free marketing for you (kind of a vetting process). Now Teespring has somewhat fallen off so I recommend using Teepublic instead. The good news is you don't have to do any social media marketing for Teepublic (or any of the other sites I use and recommend on the channel currently). You can have as many niches as you'd like, and you don't even have to separate them by storefronts anymore because the sites market them all individually. I hope that helps!

    Hello greg , what do you think about holidays?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад +2

      Great question. Holidays are always going to be good for sales, but also always going to be competitive. The edge you will need is finding specific things within the holiday to design in. There are slang jokes and smaller sub-niches you can design in that are less competitive than the overall general holiday. The good thing of course is that they will continue to sell around the same time each year like clockwork! I hope that helps!

    Great tips as always.
    For copyright can’t someone put a TM on a phrase and be the first one to use it to trademark it to? Perhaps that’s too far in the weeds

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад +3

      Hey Rick, great question. Yes, technically someone could formally trademark a phrase on Apparel and it would be theirs and theirs only to use for print on demand. For a really great selling design, it may even be worth it to do to be able to guarantee no one else can infringe on your phrase. You'd still have to actively monitor the sites to see if anyone uploads a design with the phrase on it, and then request the takedown (it doesn't happen automatically just because it's formally trademarked). The drawback is the process to file the trademark comes with something like a $500 fee per trademark. I've done it in the past but didn't find it worth the time and cost. I hope that helps clarify!
