      Can you talk about Red Bubble? They have me (I just started yesterday) on a 'standard tier' which means that they charge me a fee out of my sales. I was just surprised, but I understand the logic.

    Hi Greg I really appreciate your videos, it’s helps me alot, but I don’t want to spend alot of money on websites like merch informer. Because you are my favorite POD youtuber and explain thing very very well I will highly appreciate if you can make a video where you dont need to spend money so a 100% free to start POD turtorial. Hi Greg, do you think that endless research other POD gurus are pushing is overrated? You're the only one (or one of the rare ones) that doesn't advise to go look at other bestsellers and designs in order to get ideas how to put your own spin on what's alreday selling well or what's trendy. Your only research is GPT & merch informer. Am I missing something?

    Hey Greg,
    Your videos are very good and helpful. However, I think they could benefit from more detailed information about profitability. For example, how many t-shirts should we focus on producing to achieve a monthly profit of $10,000? Additionally, how many t-shirts does someone typically sell when they first start, how long does it take to really make money from it, and how much effort should one put in to get started?
    Thanks!

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  9 дней назад +2

      Thanks! I’ve got all that info between several videos on the channel but I agree that it should all be in one video. Let me see what I can put together for you 😀👍

    • @gregellis4913
      @gregellis4913 4 дня назад

      I agree, as I'm a bit confused and discouraged at the moment (after being very encouraged). I've watched almost all the videos on POD but then I watched "How Much Do Print On Demand Sellers Really Make?" and learned to expect $1 per month per design per site uploaded. So $3 per month ongoing per Tshirt for Amazon, Red Bubble and Teepublic ($1 x 3). Even at 100 designs, $300 is quite disappointing for monthly income. I thought in another video Greg mentioned $5 per shirt sold, which sounds much better (if just one shirt sells on just one site 10 times, you are already at $50 from that one design and that one site. That sounds like much more potential). Also, Greg, I only found 5 of your products on Teepublic and none on the other two sites. I hope its because you are using a different name and different shirt names than in the videos so you dont get copied by viewers? Otherwise, it looks like maybe you arent really pursuing this yourself or making any money doing it. Which makes me extremely hesitant to buy your course for $500 (Full Affiliate Marketing Masterclass that I was 'looking forward to') but now possibly regret the $10 download I bought (Key Phrases) and the two paid memberships at Merch Info and Place It (which appears be non-refundable at $100 spent). Lastly, concerning making a new 'complete' video.... it really would be great if you could cover everything again up-to-date and that way maybe eliminate the need to watch so many videos that do have a lot of overlap. Just MHO.

    The issue I'm having is that placeit doesn't always have specific graphics that correlate to the low-competition niche that I choose. For example, I'm doing bluegills for fishing but placit doesn't have any bluegill graphics. Any Tips?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  8 дней назад +2

      Hey great question. I run into this too but there’s a couple quick fixes. Sometimes the graphic library is limited by default (for some reason) so I add another graphic at the bottom left and search again and the whole library shows up again. Second if I still can’t find something specific then I either use an alternate graphic like a fishing reel or as a last resort I find one that’s copyright free and commercially usable outside of Placeit and add it as an uploaded graphic. I hope that’s helpful. Generally it means you’re making a design that has super low competition because they don’t have any designs for it yet 👍

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  9 дней назад +1

      Thanks! Hmm.. I've used a bunch of research tools, some of them being free too, and they don't give accurate results so I think you'd be better off just analyzing Amazon's marketplace manually. In a pinch though, merch informer has the 3-day free trial so you can get a bunch of work done during that time. I hope that's helpful!

    Greg,
    Placeit is great, but I've been wondering the best way to turn photos into cartoons or avatars etc... and can you upload them to your own graphics folder within placent?
    I've been using the website for a few days and wish they had a few more graphics tools to do the tasks like that. I designed in Microsoft photo draw for years along with Corel draw. Is there a simple way to fo that in placeit?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  9 дней назад

      That's a great question. I don't have any personal experience with cartoon/avatar specific tools outside of Placeit, but to the second question, yes you can absolutely upload them to Placeit and use them in your designs. Placeit has some good avatars in their logo section, but it's not going to be a tool I'd primarily use for that. I'd have to do a bit of digging to find a good avatar/cartoon specific resource, but I bet there's one out there.

  • @JohnNeely-z2n
    @JohnNeely-z2n 9 дней назад +1

    If you already have a design and phrase can you copy it as is to Placeit, and make changes and save?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  9 дней назад

      You could remake the design on Placeit, but you won't be able to upload your design file and move pieces, change colors, etc. on placeit (or any design tool that I'm aware of). This is because the design file is only editable before downloading, and once it's downloaded as a PNG file, it cannot be re-edited. I hope that makes sense!

      Thanks! Yes, you can actually do the entire POD process from a smartphone. The designing part specifically is actually pretty easy from a smartphone, and Placeit has an app too. For a while I was making a lot of my designs from my phone when away from home so it's definitely possible. I hope that's helpful 👍
