I've just binge-watched 10 of your videos, love the delivery, no-fluff-straight-to-the-point style and really valuable information on starting this business. You're awesome, thank you!
Thanks for sharing Greg. Greatly appreciated.
perfect explanation i'll follow your steps thank you !
Excellent, thanks for the comment. If you run into questions just let me know 👍🏼
PlaceIt is definitely a great tool for Print On Demand, thanks for sharing Greg!
Agreed! Thanks, I’ve got some good videos in the works too. If there’s anything specific you’d want to see more of just let me know!
Sound great! I've been working on getting regular sales on Amazon Merch, perhaps I can use more help on this one, especially during Q4 @@GregGottfried
This was a great video
Thanks for this.😊
Welcome! If you have any specific questions just let me know 😀
Hey Greg, you are doing a great job!Learned so many things from you. i wanted to know 2 things.
1. Should i add the exact keyword found in the merch informer in the title and description to be ranked or use T-shirt at the end of keyword since Working with T-shirt?
2.About creating 10-40 designs per niche. Like in the other video you said about hiking. So should i create 10-40 designs on hiking that came from keyword search?
Thanks in advance ♥
Thanks Greg for all of this amazing information! Question, how do you get rid of the gradient feature in Placeit? I'm changing the background to transparent, but the gradient won't go away!
Hi Greg question,
i've started POD 2 weeks ago on teepublic and made some designs, but havent made any sales yet. Should i already be uploading my designs to more POD websites or should i stay at teepublic for now? How long did it take u for ur first sale and what was the strategy u used when u were first starting out? Anyway awesome video! :)
I hope this video was helpful! Here's the discount code link and the video link mentioned:

Great video, Greg. Question - Can I create a t-shirt slogan using a word that's copyrighted on its own but not when used in a phrase, as indicated by Merch Informer? Thanks.
Hii Greg what are your thoughts on kittl? Apparently you can you use other people's templates on their website as long as you change the font and colours on the design but I don't think this is true
Hi Greg, would like to ask you about this crazy mockup situation on one f the biggest platforms out there- would be really interested in your opinion. Please make a video on that, I am sure many POD sellers would be grateful.
what Royalty Percentage do you recommend for zazzle?
Thanks Greg for this information. I do have a question, what is your recommended number of T-shirts to post on the different print on demand sites when your first starting? Should you post like 50 all at once at the beginning or should you post like maybe one or two T-shirts per site And wait a few weeks and then post another one?
Great question! Nowadays since the rise of AI and bulk uploading tools, I highly recommend uploading slowly in the beginning on a new account. 1 per day per site, then up to 2 per day, then 3, then keep going until you reach your max capacity per day. There's no set amount but I'd do 1 per day for the first week or 2, then 2 for the same amount of time, then keep increasing. Hope that helps!
Hi ,
I have one question
What is best web for designing a t shirt palceit or kittle.?
Hey Greg do you still use tee spring?
Hi Greg, do you only sell T-shirts on TeePublic or other platforms, or do you tick all the other options for Hoodies, sweatshirts, baseball T shirts etc? Thank you
Thanks for the informative video Greg. One question I haven't seen answered yet, do you typically open a new shop for each niche or sub niche you sell in, or do you keep everything centralized under one shop?
Great question! No, I upload them all to the same account because they all market them individually now on their marketplaces instead of on a storefront basis 👍
@@GregGottfried Another question. What do you do in a situation that a well-selling design on Amazon, really isn't possible to be made on PlaceIt. Either due to lack of clipart, or inability to fully customize a design, like Canva allows?
❤❤❤❤❤
🙌
How many prints would you suggest per niche or sub niche to make this successful. You did say in one of the videos but i cant remember wha you said or find it. Please help
It's a great video it really helps me out. but can you make video on how to change our account category on tee public .
my account is apprentice and I don't know what to do
This happened to me too. But after uploading around 60, I didnt even need to send them an email requesting a change of my account status.
They changed mine automatically from apprentice to artisian and let me know via email
Thanks! This will change over automatically for you 👍 The only way to make it happen is to keep uploading good designs and it will happen on it's own.
@@mahafatima7392 on which platform you make designs
Excellent content ! Question: When opening a new account with one of the POD vendors, how quickly can you safely "scale" up your designs for each vendor?
I'd recommend starting slowly on a brand new account so they know you're a real human and not using a bulk upload software. Over the course of a couple months is ideal 👍
If the sub niche I'm going for is "math teacher", I know I'm supposed to add that keyword for my title and description, but would my main tag also be math teacher or would I put more general niche like "teacher" instead of the sub niche as main tag?
Great video. Thanks for sharing the information. I have a question. How do I find the best platform to share my niche designs? For example I have designed hiking t short designs. Where do I find people who love hiking? Where do I post my designs? Thanks to anyone who can help.
Thanks! Here's a video going over exactly that: ruclips.net/video/oWh4PP68RsE/видео.html Hope that helps!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. @@GregGottfried
ive been following you for a few months now and have been using placeit, is there a way to save the designs at the 4500x5400? ive been using canva and adding elements to my placeit designs and saving files at the 4500x5400px there, can it be done on placeit or do you need a separate tool to do so?
-Also Shout out Juna at Detour Shirts
You absolutely can do it on Placeit 😀Here's a link to a video showing how: ruclips.net/video/DvWFwKSEByw/видео.html
Is there product merch other than tshirts like mug or tumblers? I would love to see that.
Yes there absolutely is. You upload the same design as the Tshirts but choose to also offer it on the other items
♥️👍
🙌
Hello greg, I have question, what would you reccomend to promote from tier 10? Put 10 designs in 1 certain niche or 10 in different niches ? What is your opinion ?
Hey great question. I made a whole video dedicated to this because it’s a really good question. Let me see if I can find the video link on my channel for you!
I think this is the one: Merch by Amazon: How To Sell More Shirts
ruclips.net/video/SKomqkV_i_A/видео.html hope that helps!
@@GregGottfried many thanks !!!
Thank you GREG question , after we make all these tshirts whats the best way to get teepublic too like them and put I on their levels , I have 100 tshirts and they won’t put me on their graded levels WHY !
Hey great question! It’s all up to them and it’s automated so we don’t have to do anything extra for it to happen. It’s usually after 50-100 designs uploaded that they switch from Apprentice to Artisan. A bit of a waiting game at this point 🫤
Ahhh so it’s volume or design or both coz I should be at 100 designs
Hey there, thank you for the advice. My only question is that "are you advising that once we get the correct slogans from chatGPT, that we simply just copy and paste them on our t-shirt designs in placeit? Or you're saying that we should rephrase those correct slogans into our own words and then paste them in placeit?" Because just copying and pasting means that we our copying a whole lot of long words. In your full POD tutorial, you simply just copy and paste straight to placeit as well, without telling us whether we can use our own words. Thank you.
Question. So I'm planning on making 5-10 designs per sub niche before I move on to a different sub niche. but so for example if my sub niche is "math teacher" would I add that to all of my 5-10 designs in the title and description after the slogan, or should I try and find a different sub niche word that's not "math teacher" but still related to math teacher category for every different design I make in that niche. I'm not sure if this makes sense or not.
Makes perfect sense! Yes, I recommend using each low-competition sub-niche exactly how it says it on merch informer. So for this case I’d be focusing on Math Teacher in the title/description as my main keyword. Hope that helps!
@@GregGottfried my main keyword would be math teacher but would my main tag also be math teacher? or would that be something more broad like teacher?
I think I've got to the point where creating amazing designs isn't a problem, however it seems like most of my designs aren't noticed. Only a small fraction of my designs sell, so I think I should try to actively market them
That’s half the battle right there, nice job! Now I recommend finding the low competition niches and making designs in those rather than trying to market your existing designs. This will get your designs ranked on the first pages of the marketplaces because there are far less designs to compete with. More on how to do that here: ruclips.net/video/RUv8uT8Xh_E/видео.html
@@GregGottfried Thanks! I'll try my best.
This is not a knock. Just a question. I watch a lot of your videos. Great advice. Curious why you don't wear any of your best selling designs in your videos? I think that would be a great idea?
Great question! I used to show my best sellers here on RUclips and they were 'ripped off' and copied hundreds of times over.. I stopped showing my personal designs and accounts since then. Hope that helps shed some light on that!
@@GregGottfried That sucks. Some people are just scumbags. You give great advice. They should just follow it and make their own. Sorry that happened to you.
I know there are copyright issues with AI software but i couldn't help but ask if
:retract Ai, doodle from clipdrop, paid midjourney, dall e 3, Leonardo and ideogram
Are still a major red flag to use ?
I’m still not a user of the AI generated art tools. Phrases I like because you can check for trademarks, but all the AI tools for art I’m still afraid of getting copyright infringements on my accounts and getting the whole account banned.
@@GregGottfried thankyoouuu. I had to ask as I've seen very successful pod sellers use these websites and some of these websites claim to have a cc licence
Just because you ask Chat GPT for copyright free slogans I don’t think you’re guaranteed that it will generate slogans that are copyright free.
That’s 100% correct. I didn’t want to get too off-topic in this video, but here’s the video explaining this step in more detail:
ruclips.net/video/RUv8uT8Xh_E/видео.html
Where are you posting your tshirt for print on demand? Etsy? Amazon?
This should help I think: ruclips.net/video/oWh4PP68RsE/видео.html and also this one too: ruclips.net/video/fJY9f9dY_nQ/видео.html Let me know if that helps!
