@@hannahebeling I’m not on social media and Redbubble canceled my account without ever giving an apology or an explanation as to why they ended my account. All my art work was original. They never responded to my questions as to what I could have possibly done wrong. They did send me a generic message saying that sometimes accounts do get caught up in their bots by mistake but they never reviewed my case nor did they get back to me. I would like to give amazon a try but I feel really hesitant to trust anyone at this point. Would they likely turn me down since I’m not selling on other platforms and no longer have Instagram or Facebook accounts either?

I didn't have any luck, it might be because of my age though, I am over 70, I used to sell on Redbubble until they had a purge and cleared out loads of artists because of server fees, it was a shame because I had just started to start selling around 3 or 4 artworks every week and it was getting better, I had over 400 followers as well.

Hannah , thanks so much really learned a lot from your videos I plan to binge watch them all 😂 I just applied and you made the process simple. I have a couple questions. Can I buy the shirt to see the quality and send it back like a normal order? I would like to see several of my designs and trying to avoid spending 100s. Also, these are Amazon shirts correct? Basically I will not have to integrate a middle man like printful?Sorry new to this❤
Great questions! No need to have a middle man which is awesome and makes everything smoother. You can certainly order any of your shirts. I have done this many times. However, you’ll definitely run into problems if you start returning. Amazon may even ban your account for something like this since they are eating the cost every time.

I don't think it's a good idea to return your own products at the risk of getting suspended., instead you could only get a couple of your favourite designs, model them yourself (or ask a friend) and then promote them on social media. You can easily order more when you start making sales.

Great question! Everything is done on their website and platform. For something on your own website I would highly recommend using Printify (linked below) integrated with a shop on Shopify.

Hey Hannah, I just applied last night and got an approval this morning. I used tips from your video and added my own personal touch. A few things about my situation:
- I live in Mexico so I used that as my country of residence
- I'm a Canadian citizen
- I'm a tax resident of Mexico (which I disclosed)
- I have an American bank account (Wise)
Even with my complex situation, I was able to get in on the first try. I just wanted to point out that there is still hope for getting in.

Hi Hannah! Great video! I was just wondering is there any pros or cons to signing up with a new account instead of your personal account that you've had for years? I would like to use my unofficial business name and it's own email with the name in it ,which would be the new account. Does it really matter either way? Thanks!
Question. If you have 4 stores , do you need 4 emails? Also do you use the same credit card for all 4 stores, like an PayPal credit card, or a PayPal account is all you need, or?

I can’t speak directly to if this would hurt your chances or not, but if you are applying as an individual, I think it’s always appropriate and safe to put your full personal name as the “business name.”

While it’s certainly easier to use a computer, there’s no reason you can’t use your phone too! I know Amazon gets very bogged down and busy during Q4, so I might wait until the new year for the best chance of getting accepted. While courses are great, RUclips is definitely a great place to start. I have a catalog of lots of videos to get you started and so many others do too!

If it doesn’t have to do with design or POD, I’d hesitate to add it, personally.

Great questions! For both of those things it’s totally personal preference. Using a brand name vs personal or using your KDP email won’t hurt or help your chances.
Dear Hannah, great video. Just few questions. POD, print on demand. The individual provides the designs and Amazon, does the rest? I mean, your designs are advertised and when the buyer places the order, Amazon does the printing, and fulfillment (packaging and shipping), am I understanding correctly?
You have not mention about pricing if there is any or otherwise. I thank you ever so much.
I was wondering… Is it wise to use your personal Amazon account? For example, if for whatever reason your merch account gets terminated, does that mean your personal account will as well?
So your advice is to just fill out the application? Got it.
In all fairness, and from what I've seen and experienced, I believe that the Amazon application review process is automated and mostly depends on factors like location/tax info. I've seen graphic designers with large portfolio's and a lot of experience, or people who are successful on other platforms being denied multiple times and people who have absolutely no experience and write half-assed application being accepted on the first try.
With that, Amazon Merch is most likely getting 100s if not 1000s of applications every single day and since Merch is only a small part of the big Amazon brand, it most likely doesn't have a big team connected to it either. So logically they just don't have the time to treat all those applications AND check all the manual reviews AND maintain Merch AND do all other things needed to be done every single day.
No, the application process is in my eyes definitely automated. I do believe at one point all applications were manually reviewed, but that time has passed. There is simply just not the time for anymore.
That’s a very interesting take and could definitely have a lot of merit to it! While I have no certainty to back this up, I imagine that it’s a combination of both automated and manual reviewing-somewhat like Merch designs themselves. I think there are things that flag applications for automatic rejection, but also think there is some human review aspect in there. With how often things change in Amazons processes though, it’s hard to always know what they are doing at the moment. Thanks so much for watching, commenting and providing your insight.
@@hannahebeling Since Amazon doesn't share their processes freely, everything is speculation. I can never be 100% sure of it either. I'm just basing it on what I've seen happening and it made me pretty sure of it. And I believe that Amazon at this point sees it more valuable in giving people from countries that have tax agreements with the US a bigger chance than people from countries that don't. Which from a financial viewpoint is very understandable.
Anyway, as said, in the end it's all speculations. We will never truly know unless Amazon decides to share it. Which will most definitely never happen

I have applied over 60 times in the last 2 1/2 years. It's just bull that anyone is actually reviewing the applications - it's basically a lottery system. I sell on multiple platforms including KDP, have 20+ years in graphic design and another 15 in retail - I have over 1500 designs ready to go and still I get turned down. If you get picked on your first try (or even first 10 tries) consider yourself lucky.

I didn’t and I don’t really think it’s necessary. You can say you sell on other platforms, but I don’t think you have to name which they are or your monthly sales.

I don’t think you should wait. Amazon won’t check on any of this stuff, so you’re better off starting sooner than waiting.

I sell multiple different items including mugs. I have a few other videos highlighting the best types of products to sell besides just t-shirts.

Is Organization Name or website important? Or have long term implications? Changeable later? If it is not changeable then this introduces more research into if it is trademarked or not.
You can use your own name and then change later if you want.
