    Hi Greg.
    I love your videos. They provide very useful content.
    Could you tell me how to check slogans for trademarks? I'm confused about whether to check only the entire slogan or also the individual words and phrases within it.
    For example, if I want to use the slogan "JUST ONE MORE MINUTE," and the phrase "JUST ONE" and the word "ONE" are already trademarked, does that mean I cannot use them in any context within my sentence? Some words that are trademarks are very common, making it difficult to avoid them.
    Additionally, if a whole slogan is trademarked, such as the famous "JUST DO IT," does that mean I cannot use the phrase "DO IT" as a standalone slogan or as part of my own slogan?
    Thank you for your help!

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад +2

      Great question! You will only need to check the entire phrase, not each individual word. With that said, obvious trademarked individual words (like brand names ie. Nike) cannot be used at all. I hope that helps!

    Hi Greg, I followed all of your advice for POD beginners but once I got started it's been down hill so far - Merch on Demand did not like my request to be a vendor and turned me down. We used Placeit and Canva to make designs so we went to Redbubble, our 2nd day of listing we were suspended - they don't have to tell you why, so we don't know why - so we have gone through the hoops of Redbubble to try to get unsuspended - so we are totally uninspired right now - but want to move forward - Etsy is next but we need a POD - can you advise us please?

    Hi Greg, do you think 200 designs are good enough to have steady number of sales for each store or niche or should we aim for 1000 designs

    • @ffstyle
      @ffstyle Год назад

      Assuming all 200 designs of yours are exactly what your customers are looking for online, then, you will have good regular sales. However, that is not easy to do. Therefore, just keep doing research and create as many good designs as you can on multiple POD platforms.

    Hello Greg. Just curious about POD platforms like Teespring, RedBubble, etc. Is it possible to have multiple store fronts on these platforms, each featuring different niche products?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад

      Hey great question. Yes, on most sites you can make separate storefronts, however in recent years it's become just as effective to have all your different niche designs in the same storefront. This is because the sites market the designs so heavily individually, and the actual storefront that the item is listed in is more hidden from the buyer than ever. Makes it easier for us anyways! I hope that helps!

    • @CarAccessoriesStore
      @CarAccessoriesStore Год назад

      @@GregGottfried Great and helpful answer. Ok, follow up question; if I decide to have all my different niche products on one store, won't that confuse the potential customer if, when they arrive on my store with the intention of buying a Yoga shirt, they find also E-books, Motivational Digital Prints, etc, all in my one store?

    Hi Greg can you direct me to one of your videos that talks about how to copyright a design on Place it, so it is not used by anyone else . Thanks

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  Год назад +1

      Hey thanks for asking. I don't have a video specifically on it however if you made the design yourself, you technically own the copyright to it informally by being the original work creator. In regards to Placeit, as long as you are customizing the templates, and not just downloading the templates as-is from Placeit, you informally own that copyright on that specific design on each site that you upload the design to first. This means if someone copies your design on that specific POD website, you can email the POD website and report it. They will look to see that you uploaded it first, and that it is in fact a copy, and they will remove it. If you wanted to go further, you can formally protect your designs for about $500 each with the government.. I've done it in the past and I dont recommend it.. The only difference is if you need to go to court (would not likely ever get to this point), you would be able to show proof of formal protection filed. And since Placeit is copyright-free, anyone can still technically make the same design as you, but if you uploaded it to a POD site first, you will have the informal copyright. I hope that makes sense and helps!

    Hi Greg, I've been using Placeit and I don't believe that all of their images are copyright free. I've made designs with Placeit and had 3 designs removed each from Redbubble, Zazzle and Teepublic. What's so weird/funny is they were all 3 different designs which meant each design was approved on 2/3 of the platforms. Also, they all had fonts/phrases which were already on the image or approved from Merch-Informer. Is there a way to let Placeit know about these images? Anyway, thanks for of the videos and info about POD.
