I don't sell any shirts on redbubble. I have 1 design that made me almost $300 since Nov 1st. I sold so many throw blankets, a few phone cases and a few zipper pouches. I made the design a year ago ish, and it didn't start selling until like 6 months after I posted it. It definitely motivated me to keep adding designs because you never know!
@@DetourShirts Great video Juna. Ballpark do you remember your profit with those 500 designs? And was that from Amazon or Teepublic (still haven't gotten approve to sell on Amazon).
Thank you so much for your transparency, Juna!!! It's amazing how many people claim they are making $100s of dollars and clearly, they are lying to get views!!!
Well, I believe some people do, but they have probably, either, been doing POD for many, many years, or they are great designers, or hire good designers, and they found a niche that exploded early. I believe it is possible, but you have to work at it! Also, if they have been accepted into Amazon, they have a leg up.
I uploaded 13 designs on redbubble 4 months ago. I didn't upload anything since and i got my first sale last month. And after a week i got 2 more. It motivated me to upload more designs. Thank you so much Juna. your videos and facts make me motivated every time. you're doing a great job and keep going. I really love your transparency. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Juna for always being so sincere with your students! it is within my expectation. It takes time to show the result, 45 days is too short. Really appreciate your sharing, Juna!! Your videos are very educational.
Very good video. Thanks for sharing the info, and also for pointing out where to find the stats in the various platforms too (where to look for the data), and for comparing the platforms this way, with the same designs, and comparing results. That is helpful. I also appreciate the pacing of your video (slow enough to absorb the points you are making, and to watch the cursor moving to different points on the screen shots.

Wow! Thank you so much for this recap. It is very refreshing to see someone like you being honest about their numbers. So many POD sellers make it sound like people are making thousands of dollars a month, and the implication is that if we're not earning that, we're doing something wrong. Your 31 designs are FANTASTIC and the fact that they didn't sell better is surprising. However, this reality is encouraging because I feel like my designs are okay too (not as good as yours!) and they're not doing as well as I'd hoped. All that to say, thank you for being honest and truthful and not over-hyping your numbers. Your suggestions at the end of this video are great too. Thank you, Juna!
Thank you..... I just wanted to be clear you actually can make thousands of dollars a month but as you saw in this video it would take a lot more than 31 designs... if you uploaded 3100 designs instead of 31 your profit could be 100 times or in the example in the video $50x100 or $5000

Hi Juna! As always, love your videos. A Customer purchased a POD shirt from my Merch store and it doesn't fit. Does Amazon allow them to exchange for free even though it's a custom POD?
Hi Juna, love your video's. You mention at the beginning of your video's that you've been selling t-shirts since 2005. I was wondering if that's how long it took you to create and upload 1100 designs? Plus, you mentioned in this video that Redbubble sells lots of stickers. Do you have any information about designing specifically for stickers? I know you're a t-shirt designer, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I love how you always explain everything in clear, easy to understand language. You give away for free, more useful, actionable information than others provide in complete t-shirt courses. Thanks again, John
Yes. I have a bunch of sticker videos.... here is one..ruclips.net/video/E2NWOei9Zko/видео.html and this one...ruclips.net/video/JqE0KFMeTMc/видео.html.... I been selling online since 2005 but it only took me 3 or so years on RedBubble to get to 1100.... it's not too hard.... It also helped that I had a bunch from other POD sites already so I just transferred them over.
@@DetourShirts I'm finally in tier 2000 now.. I've been starting prices at $14.99, and then raising them as they make a few sales and get (hopefully 5) star ratings. Sometimes the sale rate seems to slow once I get it a bit higher though. You have really high quality designs though, so that factors in as well I imagine. I'd like to boost the overall amount I make each month while I scale up. Ideally being able to make a full time living some day. Started experimenting with a lottery campaign as per Cameron Scot's recommendations as well. Would you recommend going $19.99 on most designs, even if relevant competition is priced lower? Or would it all depend? Thanks very much!

I don't bulk upload... but I do upload one after another manually.... that seem to help rather than designing 1 than uploading that 1 and then designing another one.... I design about 10 or more and then upload all 10
Hi, can I ask you a question? I have great keyword research, a great title, bullets, and description, but somehow after my design went live, I'm not able to find them on Amazon. I can click on the product link from my Merch Dashboard, and I can see the product, but it is not available from the search bar. However, it doesn't. Is this normal? It has already been two days, and the situation has not changed.

Thank you!
I have added 17 designs till now, will add more but to be honest I have no idea if my designs are good enough or not. In my country Amazon merch on demand is not working
Almost 2 years into print on demand, and i still dont know what to create, i spend all of my time looking for the perfect niche that doesnt exist, i see that you jumped into big niches with some great designs, is the quality of the design the most important factor ?, should i jump into big niches with creative designs ? I dont know what to do, what is your advice on making designs
There is no real perfect niche.... you will just have to create unique designs that people want to buy.... the trick is to find the audience and design for them.
Please, when I upload a design in teepuplic, it tells me that the export failed and try again... And I make the size of the design exactly and in png format and transparent background and everything is correct? Why is this a reason!
So, I’m assuming at that tier you are at the top level. Is that correct? Did it take long to jump up in the tiers? I know that to start with you can only upload a small amount, but as we know SCALE is where it’s at.
I'm not at the very top but I am up there... tier 100k... it took me about 3-4 years..... scale is where it's at for the higher tiers... don't scale at the beginning
Hi Juna..I have a quick question, do you think people like to buy if i do some other design other than tshirt? Like baby clothes, pillow case, blankets etc... Do you think i can earn from those instead of tshirt?

I've been active on redbubble for more than 2 months now, and it has always puzzled me watching videos like this.... how? On one of my stores despite more than 500 graphics, using appropriate tags, creating descriptions and titles and using niches I managed to sell only 2 things.......... for that the number of hearts is currently growing 2.4k. Do you advertise your products somewhere?
I didn't advertise for either RedBubble or TeePublic.... but as yo saw in the video I didn't make a sale on RedBubble... I really think it's the audience.... We are probably not creating designs that the RedBubble audience wants to buy.
I honestly do not know how people get sales on Redbubble, I have had my shop for over a year with 0 sales, even removed all the older designs and added new ones, but still nothing and almost 0 traffic... I need advice on my shop so badly, I must be doing something wrong
Yes you can... if you made the design it is yours to sell where you want... the only exception is if it's not tied to a fan art brand or something that is only on that POD site
@@DetourShirts I've put on hundreds of designs ofn TEEpublic, they don't show certain shops so no work shown. Christmas on Redbubble made $280 Teepublic maybe $4. Teepublic a waste of time. I'm not wasting time uploading to a group that doesnt promote me.
No... Amazon gets the returns (if they even get returned)..... the only thing that happens to me is that I don't get the profit from the sale because now there isn't a sale ... 0 profit for a return.
Unless you are selling from your own website, customers are not buying from you. You are only the artist. The customers who buy from Redbubble, Teepublic, and other similar sites return the unwanted items to the company they bought them from--Redbubble, Amazon, etc. We are only artists. The companies we allow to use our designs are the ones who take care of order fulfillment, complaints, problems, and returns.

I thought every platform will look at those design as copyrighted .. Thanks for info.. I'll upload in other platforms also.. I was just uploading on redbubble only..
Put up your best researched 10... most likely trends... get some quick sales to get out.... if something doesn't sell in 3-4 weeks.... replace it with something else.... if something sells keep it up and do more ....and keep doing that process until you make 10 sales
I've just made 6 sales on Redbubble, this demoted me to leave and stop designing and i have 800 designs, can you please tell me whats wrong with my store?
Thank you!! Question: how do I organize my process to actually create & upload 10,000 designs? I know it’s a multi-year effort… so is there an effective strategy? Cause even with 31 designs in 31 days… that’s a LOT of years for 10K designs! ANY advice is greatly appreciated. ❤
Good question! Well, to get to 10,000 you will need to make like 20 designs or so a day. That can easily be accomplished with a bunch of scaled designs.... I'm working on a like of scaled words you can use for these ideas.

I'm not at the very top but I am up there... tier 100k... it took me about 3-4 years..... scale is where it's at for the higher tiers... don't scale at the beginning
Interesting video, but any idea why there's all those returns? looks like around 10%
I have a guess.... I think most of that could be people knowing Amazon's return policy
Please Can you do More vidéos about Teepublic
Yes... I'm planning on it
@@DetourShirts Thank you 🙏🥰
Merry Christmas
Just a quick question.. as you sold a few on Teepublic does your designs appear in search results?
I just check and half of the ones that sold appeared for me in the search results the other half did not..... I'm not worried about it
@@DetourShirts
I pm u on messenger
Hi Juna..I have a quick question, do you think people like to buy if i do some other design other than tshirt?
Like baby clothes, pillow case, blankets etc... Do you think i can earn from those instead of tshirt?
If you are one of the best sellers of those products I'm sure you could earn a lot.
@@DetourShirts im starting to make a shirts that i learned from your videos...and im also want to try some new prodects to design.
Thank you for all the videos .i learned a lot. Keep up the good work Juna 😊😊
6:44 Where do you get your ideas to make so many designs?
Ohhhh.... I followed my Shirtober list.... I just came up with 31 random topics that are popular with t-shirts.... look for my original post
I don't get it.... you said no sales on RedBubble but your report says 2K?? can someone explain?
No sales for these 31 design... I got sales for other designs on my shop
@@DetourShirts oh ok... so you've actually been doing this for a while? you didn't just get started with these 31 designs? makes way more sense.
Did you put ads on the other two: redbubble and tee…? 8:29
Nope.... no ads for those
I honestly do not know how people get sales on Redbubble, I have had my shop for over a year with 0 sales, even removed all the older designs and added new ones, but still nothing and almost 0 traffic... I need advice on my shop so badly, I must be doing something wrong
RedBubble is a tough one to crack.... I have to try lots of different things and not all of them work
My design are not showing up on Teepublic marketplace. What to do?
Don't worry about it... keep adding more stuff.... they will show up eventually
what's thedesign size and format do you use ?
I use 4500px x 5400px
I uploaded 126 designs to redbubble during last 2 months. But haven't any sale yet. Why is that ?
If I had to guess, you are probably not creating designs that RedBubble buyers want to buy..... getting sales isn't a guarantee.
If you upload designs to Amazon, etc. Are you still allowed to use that design to sell t-shirts etc in your own online store?
Yes you can... if you made the design it is yours to sell where you want... the only exception is if it's not tied to a fan art brand or something that is only on that POD site
Not fair we can't all get on MBA.
Not fair Teepublic don't show everyone's work.
Just doing Redbubble, wish it was Christmas every month.
Yup.... POD isn't fair.... but guess what... TeePublic doesn't show my work sometimes... stop worrying about what's not fair... just keep going
Someone can explain the requirements to sell in USA from Europe ? Taxes, banks, etc
I wish I knew the answer to that one... this is a good question for my Facebook group
@@DetourShirts thanks, Can you bring the link to the group?
Do the returns come to you, and what do you do with them.
How do you fing key words
I mainly think about what is related to my design and I also check what words others in the same niche are using
🦋💖🎄✨
Thank you
Can i upload same design on both the platforms? Will that gives any copyright?
When you create your own design, you can upload it to as many POD sites as you want
@@DetourShirts Ohh thank you so much... I was just not uploading designs because I was thinking these platforms will give me copyright even if I created... I thought every platform will look at those design as copyrighted .. Thanks for info.. I'll upload in other platforms also.. I was just uploading on redbubble only..
Hello, what tips do you give people who are only T10. It's really bad with trying it out. I would be very happy about a message.
Put up your best researched 10... most likely trends... get some quick sales to get out.... if something doesn't sell in 3-4 weeks.... replace it with something else.... if something sells keep it up and do more ....and keep doing that process until you make 10 sales
@@DetourShirts Thank you, may I write to you on Instagram? If I have questions ?
Please can I sell the same art design on all these platforms at the same time...???
Am creating account on all of them now, wish me success. 🥰
Yes, absolutely
Any tips for cafepress beginners ?
Yes.... look into fan art.... those can get a ton of sales
@@DetourShirts But for those i have to apply ?
Redbubble own teepublic that what everyone needs to know.
Yes... they do but they both have different audiences
@@DetourShirts That is true.
Could you do a video talking about if you were i tier 10, what you will do+working with your calendar 🗓️ that you put on your site
I do have videos for that... here is the playlist....ruclips.net/p/PL9VPE8huwuiB-H-LOSAvHVwRlzaMs25eF
How to reinstate redbubble account? Where and what to right?
Not sure... I've never done it before... I would imagine you write to RedBubble and explain what happened
@@DetourShirts ohk and where to write to them?
I've just made 6 sales on Redbubble, this demoted me to leave and stop designing and i have 800 designs, can you please tell me whats wrong with my store?
I'm guessing your designs don't fit the RedBubble audience
@@DetourShirts I think my designs don't get views because of too many tag spammers, because of them my designs never get any views
Can I upload my redbubble Design on Teepublic, I mean the design I have on redbubble, can upload them on Teepublic?
Yes you can
Thanks for your help, your videos as been so helpful for my print on demand business
Thank you so much!! It truly helps.
I bought clothes a month ago and still didn't get them 🙃
Oh no.... I would email them
