I followed your advice when setting up my TeePublic account and was given the status of Artisan right away. I created a banner, album categories, and linked my TeePublic account to my personal blog. Are my designs perfect? Definitely not. But I think TeePublic understood what I was trying to achieve with my store. I wanted to create with a purpose. Have I sold a lot of designs? Another NO. But, I am okay with that. I am working on developing my craft and style. I am grateful for the information you have given us today and hopefully it will help me create better designs. This video made me turn 27 designs inactive and left with 138. I hope to get the Artisan title and make some sales because it's exhausting honestly. But in all honesty, one's designs truly get better with time, especially if you are ready to learn. I'm happy with my improvement so far. Thanks Juna👍

I was an artisan and got downgraded to apprentice account after I uploaded 10 design with same background but different cats. I removed them the moment I got downgraded. Hope to get back to artisan. Thanks this is very helpful!! More power Juna!!

I have a qustion about quotes. when i make 5 designs with the quote for example "100 days of school" and i make each on of them completly different, other fonts, othe styles, other graphic elements etc... would it be spamming for them and apprentice style ? Yes... I believe TeePublic doesn't like that either... just a guess but I believe they want each design with different words and graphics.

I would put it in one store. Running more than one store is tough

Nice vid Juna - thanks. Just one question, if Teepublic have already decided that a store looks like a apprentice store would you recommend opening another if they have already said that it will never be reviewed? Or can they be asked again to review it? Any advice appreciated - thanks
Shops can be reviewed again if you update your designs and follow what they are looking for in an Artisan account. If you think you have improved and added 20+ "Artisan" designs I would ask for another review.

Nope... it's more about quality than quantity

If you have an apprentice account, you need to do the marketing yourself to make sales.

Some apprentice accounts do make sales but it from their own marketing. If you are adding designs that match what TeePublic is looking for then you will be moved to Artisan right away.

You can make designs for as many categories as you want
Can we change the price and royalty in Teepublic? Can I use the same design from merch?
You can use the same design but royalties on TeePublic can not be changed.... It's $4 if you an Artisan and it's $3 if you are an Apprentice

It all really depends if you can connect with the audience... there are no guarantees

hey june, i have a lot of my design in different colors because i thought is nice t o give customers more choice to choose which color style fits mire to them. Do you think that these designs are hindered from getting more presence or being promoted on TeePublic because of this? Do you think that if I delete all but one color afterwards, this design will then have a better chance of being sold? cheers from bangkok
No. I think multiple colors are fine. Just pick the best color for the main color or primary color
when i joined tee public they automatically put me as an apprentice. I got out of the first tier with amazon. I sold 12 of the same shirt. Should i keep the price the same and see if i can get out of the 2nd tier? Or should i gradually increase the price? Seems like red bubble has really slowed down?
If the price is working I would keep it.... it's more about number of sales in the beginning until about Tier 200 or so

Yes... just make sure to follow all points in the video... you can still create nice, creative designs with AI and text.

I have two stores one of which got artisan straight away but after months of not touching it, it got downgraded to apprentice. The other store is about quotes with nice designs around but it is repetitive (not the designs around it, they are different for each quote) I don't know if it is possible to make to artisans for my quote store. If it is then how can I possibly make it artisan?
I don't know either... I would think an artisan shop would need to have more art
The one that got downgraded has 101 designs but I'm making more now because it's the holiday, and the quote shop has 62 (2 sales only). I guess my question is, is it possible to make a lot of sales (3 or 4 figures monthly) with an apprentice shop with just social media traffic?
Hi Juna! I uploaded 6000 designs before this change happened and I used to do very good money in monthly sales. Now I am an apprentice and I make a few bucks. Should I open a new teepublic account to aim for Artisan?

I uploaded 4 design intially and they reviewed my account then I became an Artisan.I have only 17 designs and no sell cus I don’t market them and not getting enough time to upload design cus I am student. Is their any way to get sells without marketing?
Yes... if you are creating designs that TeePublic likes, they will market them for you. Figure out the audience
I'm a little confused. If a couple of their popular categories are Movies and Television do they not care about copyright violations? I all of my designing years, we have definitely been told to stay away from copyrighted stuff. Not only because it's illegal but it also unethical.
Yes, I would stay away but I guess they are a little more relaxed with the whole copyright thing vs Amazon
Is teepublic more flexible when it comes to designs related to songs, shows, pop culture?
More flexible than Amazon for sure but I still would be careful

It depends... I would make sure you are creating designs that people on TeePublic would want to buy and when you have like 20 of those I would email them to take a look at your account

Apprentice accounts don't show on search results............. You need to have an Artisan account.
It's probably the apprentice category thing

Focus on good designs... you will need to design like an artist and create designs that the TeePublic audience will love and want to buy

Hard to say without seeing what you are uploading but be careful with copyrighted stuff, trademarked stuff and spamming the platform with simple AI stuff

Not exactly true... but I wouldn't mass upload AI designs.... make sure to add to it and make it look like a t-shirt design and not an AI design if that makes sense.

It can take a while to get to Artisan... My guess is you are in the Apprentice Category

Well there is no set number of sales or uploads but if you continue to get sales and create designs that the audience wants to buy I'm sure it will eventually happen

Nunca he visto Airbrush Action. Ve mis diseños de alien, me invente y tengo los originales. Los pinte con acuarela y por ende uno queda protegido por Copyrights en USA. Fijate, aliens by Ramirelli en Teepublic.

A design where you do basically the same thing but change out the word... Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear, Sister Bear, etc..... It can also work with years... Born in 1973, Born in 1974, etc.

I would start with 20....on your way to 100
From what I've picked up..If my account is not Artisan..my items won't show up in searches ? How do you expect sellers to make it worth our time ? My items are still not showing up and have the exact same titles as many on purpose to test ? I'm very skeptical now and after 5 months on Etsy..I may go back to focus more there when you state my Images are Spam and not worthy ?? I work hard and I'm not a Adobe expert or professional image creator so takes me more time. Pretty disappointed to say the least
I know....Those are the new TeePublic rules. It is harder to get sales for sure and it could take a while to get the right designs to sell. You are right to test it for 6 months or so and if it doesn't work then try something else. It will not work for everyone but it does work for some. I think it's all about finding the right audience and creating designs for that audience.
@@DetourShirts I may be wasting my time and not having much luck after 5 months anywhere. Decided to try TeePublic and easier to post then Etsy, however may be the Rules but certainly doesn't support new creators. I'm also becoming more disillusioned with Etsy..more money going on than coming out after 5 months.
Does this mean we can't use AI images? Because i was an artisan before i got demoted,i mostly use AI images
Same thing happened to me, but I am appealing their decision and have made certain changes that Juno has detailed in his video here, so hope to get back into the Artisan category.

It's not about AI art specifically it's more about what I said in the video... I use AI art all the time and I'm fine. I'm using AI with purpose and still trying to design really good t-shirt designs.
