Anyone who doesn't think that Tim is authentic hasn't been watching the videos. Maybe it's because there's a lot of people reacting to videos, generally, on RUclips. If you see him watching Nina Simone, Metallica, or any of the other music maybe you would understand. This kid was not raised with anything but rap, he said himself. He absolutely has a beautiful pure love for music, I would call him a conduit because he is some kind of filter. For another person who loves music like me, he is so proper, so on point. I worked in the radio industry for 15 years, saw a lot of things heard a lot of music, met a lot of people. Tim respects music, is emotional about it, and understands the effort going into it. He sees the number of likes and understands those songs are hits. Also, if you don't understand the reaction to this video, you're likely not a Tool fan. I'm defensive of Tim because I feel like he's a friend at this point. If you just dropped in here to be negative, you likely have other things going on, so I wish you well.

I think the first time I heard Tool, I had a similar reaction. I was like "What? Heavy rock music can be... melodic? And beautifully arranged? And poetic?" And everything, from the bass line to Meynard's vocals and lyrics, are just masterfully done.

No need for apologies, no ones gonna argue with someone praising Tool, they’re pretty much universally venerated and for good reason, there are very few more creative bands out there

Bryan Mack Si-Fi Crimes is perfect and I stand by it. I love that album, easily my favorite Chevelle album. Though I like every Chevelle album, Hats Off to the Bull is great too.

The studio version of Invincible is probably one of their BEST songs both lyrical and musically, literally up there with Lateralus (song). Pnuema packs a great message and 7empest won a Grammy for a reason.

if you like Tool, you ll LOVE their song Lataralus. It uses the fibbonacci sequence in the syllabus of the lyrics and the drum pattern. its just an amazing 9 minute song.
The mixing on this song makes Maynard (when he yells) sound like Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time.

Very unique group. Love that rich dark sound and the unsettling places the music and lyrics often lead to. Some of their videos really push boundaries. I especially appreciate those produced by the band's guitarist Adam Jones, which showcases his multi media genius level artistic abilities. Maynard's voice is addictive too. He also sings with bands A Perfect Circle (which I love) and Puscifier.

Maynard James Keenan, the singer of Tool, is still my favorite singer, for the past 20 years. He's also the lead singer of A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Cool to see you getting the genius of the music and singing right away.

For me, what makes Tool so brilliantly perfect is how they make the incredible complexity of their music seem so easy. The albums are like full soundtracks to a movie that goes through continuous transitions between calm/mellow and upheaval/chaos intensities. Lateralus especially.
MJ Keenan has a hell of a library with all his different bands. Lots to enjoy.
