I've been noticing it's been Rock/Metal in general lol...
its not a huge mystery. The stuff they sing about is more relevant than ever, and they just released a new album, and they just released all their old stuff for free at high quality. Not to mention the algorithms.

that begat A Perfect Circle, and then Puscifer.. all 3 the brainchild of one brilliant man.. I freaking love you Maynard! !!! now the trick kids is to go out and make something that causes Maynard and the rest of us to go hmmmm... in his own words, " now go out there and make daddy proud"!!!

Tool is amazing. Don't hesitate. Just jump head first down the rabbit hole. You won't regret it! The way their rhythm section transitions from one riff to the next is so seamless, you hardly even notice it.

10,000 days is my favorite album of all time. It's worth listening to the whole thing all the way through.
it is another level of musicianship. The lyrics are fucking incredible top to bottom.
the whole group is out of this world.. but that guitar player and his crunchy tones are epic!!
My recommendation: listen to the whole Aenima album, the whole Lateralus album, the whole 10000 Days album 😁 full of absolutely amazing songs. Legendary!
If she thinks this song is good, anything from Aenima is going to make her head explode.
You left out Fear Innoculum. Another great album that was too long in coming.
While you're at it, listen to some of the songs on fear inoculum. It has a few funky grooves on it

Personally I prefer Instrumental Rock like Joe Satriani or Paul Gilbert. Sometimes lyrics bring me down a bit. I stay happy that way. When I'm angry I go Japanese Metal Ningen Isu and Grindcore 88Kasyo Junrei plus American Metal. A of bit "Grit your Teeth" music.

@@uncleouch9795 FFOTD the root of pneu/pneum refers to air and is conjugated to to mean different things with different suffixes. So you seem to be dead on with the assessment of peuma meaning breath
But can also be conjugated to things like pneumatic meaning "powered by air"
That was by far the best physical and facial reaction to a song I have ever seen on RUclips, Tool is intense and you let it take you over. Props for putting yourself on camera and letting it all hang for this song. I have rewatched, just to see you feel this song. Great job!!

HELL YEAH! Pneuma is next level!
After much deliberation I am convinced Pneuma is the best song ever written in this generation and the best Tool song.
It was tough to unseat Lateralus but I can't deny the power of that song (Pneuma).
You get a great big like just for being able to move to the insane beats of Tool!! The best most of us can usually manage is a funky head wobbly thing. You go girl!!

Those are terrible songs for a new Tool listener.. the later stuff is more palatable. the new stuff is good once you know Tool

Yes Tool! Ticks and Leeches is a very heavy song by them, eulogy, right in two, 46 and 2 among others...just gotta keep in mind that tool is a very cerebral band.
