What's crazy to me is the accuracy and timing with his power to hit his pad or drum with the perfect ammount of strength to get a really great sound. Hes impeccable in every aspect, amazing transitions, control, and experience blends to make the beast that is The Octopus
@@pablerry Danny isn't nearly as technical as Peart was... There's a reason he was called "The Professor", he was a technical master. Danny is a powerful player, with impeccable timing and speed, but he's not nearly as technically proficient as Peart was.
I dont know Pearts stuff as well as Carreys but creatively speaking, I think Carrey has more tools in his arsenal and plays TO THE MUSIC better. This song is a perfect example. The way he accentuated the sharp abrupt bass and guitar punches with this hard stop symbol was genius. And then on top of that the rallies back and forth with the guitar in the chorus and the poly rhythmic trance during the bridge. Its insane how intricate and nuanced this song is. I am convinced it is the most creative and intelligent song written and performed of this generation.

There's no such thing as the best drummer or any other musical instrument. There are people who are at the top of the craft in whatever genre they happen to love. Most of those wouldn't be comfortable playing some of Danny's stuff and Danny would likely struggle to play some of their best stuff.

Once at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas at their Amphitheatre (which was acoustically AMAZING!!) and then again October, 2019 at the After Shock Festival in Sacramento. I'm so blessed to have seen them live after Fear Inoculum....COVID19 hit the world in 2020 and who knows how long it will be before Music Artists will be able to perform in concert again. ( Pneuma ) means spirit . or Breath in Greek. a very precise language . the original Christian Bible was written in Greek and Hebrew . If you listen to the lyrics this song is telling us what science is just starting to figure out. we are all spirit , an energy that never dies. we are all connected to every living thing on earth and we share ONE consciousness . if more people learned this to be true we would not be so divided not only as a nation but as a planet. we need to get back to loving ourselves and one another , stop the division and come to an understanding that ONLY we can fix this insane division the world is experiencing in this moment. we are not helpless by standers in this life every thought, every emotion we feel has a direct affect on the reality we all share together. People don't even realize the part where he's has 4 different rythyms or beats going at the same time. Each limb playing a different rhythm or beat at the same time has a super high level of difficulty.
Danny has been a beast anyone who plays drums or knows that culture knows this. He’s often compared to many greats he’s just low key not aknowledged great in mainstream. Which blows my mind and is absurd. Dude is a monster on a drum set, poly master and so subtle for a metal drummer. Very technical.

I really wanna like your channel, but the out of sync audio absolutely RUINS drum videos-or any other video for that matter. Instead of just whining about it, I'll tell you how to fix it. Your main video and audio are fine (when it's you talking). The problem is the audio coming from the video that you are reacting to. The audio is leading the video by exactly 269 milliseconds. Add that delay to the audio from the drum video and it's in sync.
